A nice little gem of a froyo self serve shop. It was delicious-good selection of flavors, toppings, syrups etc. Also- cannot mention this enough- a good , solidy, heavy duty spoon! A+! We also got to sample a free slice of the froyo cakes. Which was nice-tasty. I love Menchie's and have been coming here for years but I'm giving it two stars because the girls who work here have a serious attitude problem. Not only did they make a mother wait outside in 90 degree heat with a newborn(mind you there was one family inside getting yogurt) they also stood behind the counter the entire time in a group and just talked. Honestly think I came here everyday for two weeks once. There are at least 10 flavors and new ones every once in a while. I'm not going to say it's cheap, though, because it's not at all. They take yogurt mill coupons (which saves you a little) BUT you have to print them out. I went in once and showed them the coupon on my phone and they accepted it, however the next time they said they only take printed and the girl working was a bit rude about it. Overall I love this spot, the workers are USUALLY pretty chill, and I recommend it if you're digging some froyo. The oddest looking menchie's I have ever been to. It is located in the worst shopping center and is free standing. It really didn't feel that safe or sanitary when I went in here not too long ago. Something just seemed off. They did have a $3 fill up for their mini 8oz cup during some random time but you have to be under the age of 12 or at least appear to be. Been waiting for this place to open in the old donut location for a while now. I was really excited and decided to stop in for a taste/purchase. Atmosphere: Really bright and colorful. Outside patio w/ seats is a great addition. Kind of small and fairly loud since everyone is enjoying themselves. Service: Okay service. Very helpful when you walk in. They wouldn't break $100 bill, but after we grabbed a card, they gave us a BOGO card which was acceptable. Food: Soft serve frozen yogurt with a lot of flavors, fruit and candy toppings and syrups (hot fudge!). Overall happy with the flavors. My gripe is the price. Menchie's is by far the BEST fro-yo shop in the East County. It blows Yogurt Mill and Golden Spoon WAYYYY out of the water. The store is always clean, the employees are kind and helpful, and the yogurts are yummy. Customers are offered as many samples as they need to find their desired flavor and there are so many toppings to choose from (candy, nuts, cereals, fruits, mochi, boba, brownies) and a few hot toppings as well. The girls will make you a waffle bowl too if you ask for one (HINT: waffle bowls are FREE on Wednesdays). There are 14 flavors to choose from (2 no sugar added, 2 dairy free, 2 tart, and 8 non fat or low fat). For anyone who says Menchie's is "too expensive"... that's your own fault. Menchie's goes on a price-by-weight system. If you make an outrageously large/heavy yogurt the price will reflect it, but if you have an ounce of will-power and can make yourself a regular sized yogurt with a few toppings the price is nothing to complain about. They occasionally hand out coupons in-store but they accept ALL COMPETITOR COUPONS and sometimes offer Groupons! The atmosphere is warm and child-friendly. But if you are a collegiate high jumper, you'll probably have no problem clearing the mobs of children. I also feel like the jovial, wonky, cartoon lacquered atmosphere makes me feel like I'm in a nightmare. Too much pastel and anthropomorphism. It's like being in an R.L. Stine book. The yogurt ranges from okay to pretty okay. The flavors don't rotate as often as one would like, and there are some curiosities (a Smurfs flavor?), but it's basically your standard issue frozen confection. The prices aren't especially great, but they're still better than Pinkberry. If you can stand the crowds in order to shovel some decent yogurt down that frothing maw of yours, it's moderately worth the trouble. read more

My complain is when I went last week and presented my coupon from my mobile phone I was told I had to print it out so I came back tonight with my printed deal and the girl that took it started saying that she wasn't sure if they take it anymore, bought the deal last week and it expires in July of this year, I made sure she knew that, that was kid of irritating to me. A family favorite! This place is really good, it's a Do it yourself froyo, all the favorites plus some rotating specialties. The employees are really nice and keep the place spotless, they literally come by the machines and toppings and clean up after each round of customers. I love that they have the sample cups out and that you don't have to ask for them, I usually end up trying 3 kinds before making a decision and most places give you two sample cups then you have to ask again for more witch I never do. I also like that they don't have signs all over the place telling you what to do and not to do like some of the others places. Menchie's just accepts that some people are dumb and rude and they take care of it without warning all customers with big red signs not to be dumb and rude by doing things like drinking strait from the yogurt machine.... The have some really good fresh toppings, but I feel like they could use some more, no heath bar, almond roca, mochi, or some of the other "usual's'. It's a little expensive but they do take competitors coupons and have a rewards program. Friday night is fill your cup for $5.00 from 9-11 PM, I've never made it but it sounds like a pretty good deal considering I don't quite fill my cup and it's around $7.00. If you take your kids and let them do their own it could easily be an expensive treat, so go alone or take them on Friday night! read more

Yum! This yogurt shop has a lot of flavors to choose from, about 10 or 12. Lots of toppings, even fresh fruit. Very good quality yogurt. Service was nice, we were all greeted as we came in and they were helpful at explaining how it all works and which flavors are sugar-free and what not. You get to fill your cup with however much yogurt/toppings that you want, then you weigh it at the cashier. The having a card that is like a frequent buyer card, which is a plus. Lots of parking. Love this place. We have been coming in for years on the last 2 months I've notice the girls working here (long blond haired white and Today's cashier ( African American girl with really long nails. I apologies for the vague descriptions. Either way both times we have been there we have experienced a very rude attitude. I understand Covid makes things hard for everyone but when your employees are 1. Aggressively telling u to put on gloves when you already have them and then assuming a horribly parked car belonged to you and asking you to move it . As well as not letting people throw their toppings on their yogurt. I understand not having a toppings bar for safety but the toppings are going straight to ones yogurt. Terrible customer service. Every time I come here for the kids happy hour I have to stand there and wait for a teenager who works there to turn around and notice my children and I to hand us our cups. It's a terrible layout. The registers are placed so they employees have their backs to the entrance. So that's part of the problem. There's no real experienced management on staff and the staff I've encountered are poorly trained at being friendly and kind. It's hard to teach. You either have it or you don't. Menchie's is great. Their yogurt is phenomenal. But this location needs a customer service face lift! read more

Very disappointing. Had a coupon so went. Upon arriving, a couple and their 8!year old were in front of us eating out o their cups while putting more yogurt them. They did this for about 10 minutes ! When we made the front counter girl aware , she just laughed and brushed it off. Very non hygienic. Especially with current events. We got our yogurt, expensive. Sat and ate while we we observed another couple with 2 children procuring their yogurt. Watched the dad licking yogurt from his cup while the older child, about 7, continued to touch all the spouts where the yogurt came out. Disgusting all around.
