After waiting probably almost 2 years to try Menchie's, we finally decided to give it a try. The place is really cool, and you pay for your yogurt by weight. It's also self serve and you can sample the yogurt as well. I'm obsessed with the green apple flavor. It's fresh, it's tart. It's great. It's definitely a great place to go when Yogurt mill doesn't have the flavor you want or the line is all the way around the block. read more

Good flavors, nice mix ins. The line moved fast and it was well lit, clean inside. Lame that they only have one size to pick from, and their prices are HIGHEST I've ever seen in a froyo place. Better off waiting at Yogurt Mill or make the drive to Crave in Grossmont Center. Nothing special enough about it to really visit again. read more

If you would pay $4+ for a drink at sbux...then spending the same on froyo is no big deal. My family LOVES Menchies. You don't have to wait in a long line, you don't have to pay cash only like the iconic Yogurt Mill ( we love Y.M....but we go for easy these days). The whole experience of an upscale yogurt place and the whole do it your self style of picking flavors and putting on your own toppings makes this not just getting yogurt, but a fun activity for my kids. We love showing off our Menchies mix to each other and the sampling cups are a big hit too. The flavor selection, especially the NSA are awesome! They keep the place really clean. When little ones make a mess serving themselves, the staff is close behind wiping right behind them. If you want to save some money on your yogurt, they match competitors coupons and you can often find Menchies coupons online too. Make sure to sign up for the smileage rewards club too. We have already earned about $15 in Menchies rewards. Our family of 4 gets out the door with an average visit of $17 without coupons. The owners are great too and have donated Menchie's certificates to both my husband's school for a fundraiser and also to my work for a student Easter Eve event we were needing some prizes for. I can't say enough good things about Menchie's. They are just down the street from my house but I would drive accord town for a bite of their original tart yogurt swirled with the tart of the month. The staff is always so nice and helpful. They have one of the beat selection of yogurt favors and toppings I have ever seen, which allows for all types of taste buds to be treated at once! Wow - just wow! Menchie's knows how to greet a customer. As soon as we walked in the door we were greeted -- not by just one person, but at various times by every single staff member that was working. And the greetings were friendly and warm. Service was great! The girls that work there are super helpful. The froyo was delicious. Everything is kept clean including the area where all the toppings are. It does cost more than Yogurt Mill, but I can't stand waiting in line at that place anyways. I also feel like Menchie's has a better flavor selection. My teenage daughter told me about this place that all her friends were raving about, and I figured, well, they're teenagers. They like every new, trendy place, but I gave it a chance. I LOVE MENCHIES!!! The flavors and toppings change regularly so you don't get bored, the place itself is easy to get to, clean and the employees and owner are all cheerful, friendly and helpful. I recommend this establishment to anyone who needs a sweet-tooth fix from time to time. There is plenty of opportunity to keep it healthy too! read more

A trip to menchies is a weekly routine for me. Very convenient and clean location. The manager/owner seems to always be there and take pride in the shop. I have nothing but great things to say about the staff, especially Tiana, always friendly and prompt. I do agree with other posts, it can be a little pricey but I do believe they came down in $ per ounce since opening, and spending a dollar extra here is better than 3 dollars in gas to get anywhere else. read more

My daughter had her 5th birthday party here & it was fantastic. The staff was amazing & made her feel like a birthday queen.

I've been here multiple times because my niece & nephew love it, but I can stand the horrific customer service every time I have taken them. The people they hire have zero personality. They are abrupt, rude and have no interest in promoting the best interest of Menchie's. They too busy talking to each other or they are on their phones. My last experience, I was checking out with the kids & asking my nephew a question about something before we purchased it. The girl rudely interrupted me & demanded my nephew put his cup on the scale... she wanted us to hurry up & pay to she could return to doing "nothing". RIDICULOUS! I told the kids to please find another place they enjoy. I refuse to patronize that business ever again. read more

I am so happy to see an establishment like Menchie's come to the East County! I have to admit, I heard about the concept a while ago, and signed up for the rewards program before even setting eyes on this place....the name alone was so dang cute (Smileage rewards) I fell for it, hook, line and sinker! I lagged getting over to try it, but when I went tonight I was so glad I did! It was clean, organized and was just a cool place to pop in and hang out for a few. This place is awesome. They have a great variety of flavors with tons of toppings to choose from. It's more expensive than Yogurt Mill but you get what you pay for and here, you get deliciousness with every bite. I like that you can help yourself and try out any or all of the flavors before choosing. So happy I found Menchie's; no reason to go back to that other place. I seem to go here at least a couple times a month with a close couple and their girls. This place is wonderful, not only is their selection always changing so you never get board, but it is very kid friendly, and my favorite part ALWAYS SUPER CLEAN. The staff is friendly, upbeat, and very welcoming. My favorite day is Waffle Wednesday, I highly recommend this place and Im sure will be back again soon. read more

I love almost everything about this place! My husband and I, take our children here often. The flavors are always wonderful and the place is always super clean! The only thing is they have some young ladies that work there that can be your typical teenage girls.. I'm slightly obsessed with the warm Reese's peanut butter sauce, I must admit. first things first, this place is clean, clean, clean. as far as the service goes, they are fine. they weigh the yogurt and collect your money. and the yogurt, well, it's yogurt. maybe slightly creamier. my only complaint... WAY TO EXPENSIVE. their price per ounce is ridiculous and higher than every other place i been to in east county, penguins yogurt factory, golden spoon, yogurt barn, go get yogurt, and of course yogurt mill. nothing but the best to menchies. read more
