This place has DOLE WHIP! I thought it was only available in Hawaii and Disneyland! It's a delicious, non-dairy frozen treat with the consistency of frozen yogurt, and it's delicious! They currently don't have pineapple flavored, only mango. But I overheard the cashier saying they have rotating Dole Whip flavors. Amazing! Other than that, I like that they have non-dairy, kosher and no sugar added options. Sample cups are readily available, so that you can try them all (if wanted). The toppings bar is well stocked with candies and fresh fruit. They don't have as many flavors as Yogurtland, but I think I liked Menchie's flavors better. Menchie's is an excellent frozen yogurt joint. The flavors they have are very good, and rotate regularly. The best is Dole Whip, which tastes just like the stuff you get from the Tiki Room at Disneyland. They have a huge variety of toppings to go along with the yogurt, enough to suite anyone's odd tastes. They lose a star for a few reasons. First, the place is regularly pretty grungy. Not in a "i should call the health inspector" way, but there are a lot of sticky surfaces and the toppings area is usually a bit of a mess. Also, they run out of flavors too often in the evenings. Also, on a more minor point, the flavors aren't often well positioned for swirling. In any case, it is a nice thing to have in the neighborhood, and I visit regularly. read more

I stumbled upon this place at random...and oh, it is a sweet, creamy, control-freak's dream! Customers have total control of how much fro yo to indulge in (in any combo of flavors) and don't get the stink eye for sampling as long as sanitation is considered. The plethora of toping options in nothing short of overwhelming in the most wonderful way. You want it, they probably have it! The shop is cute right down the smiling spoons. The high school kid employees are friendly and polite, and I was impressed with the overall cleanliness. I didn't experience any sticky serving spoons/handles or gunky counters. Sure, the floor gets a bit sticky and my friend did comment on the smears of caramel sauce on the bathroom light switch, but hey, I think it is all an unavoidable part of the charm. read more

I really enjoy that you can go pick out and pour the yogurts that you want, as well as taste them. Plus, you can put whatever toppings you want on your yogurt. However, for what the company charges I could have gone and bought a couple gallons of ice cream, or even got handcrafted ice/gelato. As mentioned, the frozen yogurt flavors are rather artificial-tasting. And I agree. BUT! Because I fill 1/2 the cup full of the yummy candied and fruit toppings, I tolerate it. I tried to give it 4 stars, but I can find no conceivable reason for it. I mean, those obnoxious kids making a mess and cutting in line were the parents' problem, not Menchie's. The concept here is genius, and thus far they've kept the place VERY clean. If they ever start slipping in the cleanliness department, the place will fall apart very quickly. It's a little pricey, but part of that is paying for the "experience." If other ice cream/frozen yogurt places charged this much (and some do), I'd not make it a point to come back too often. I LOVE Frozen Yogurt. However it is a nightmare to find establishments that actually know the ingredients of their delicious soft serve. Menchie's gets 5 stars because it has an entire book filled with nutrition facts! In addition, the nice girl behind the counter didn't look confused when I asked what was gluten free. This review is for delivery only. Call me a dummy for ordering frozen yogurt delivered. But in my opinion, If you offer your product up for delivery, than it is up to you to make sure that you are able to provide your customers with the same quality product that you offer in the store. Otherwise you should not offer it for delivery, or it should be discounted appropriately. However in Menchies case, their markup is atrocious, and the portion size is misrepresented and inconsistent. I've ordered menchies enough to know approx how much they charge in the store for a particular weight of yogurt. However, both times I ordered the same exact thing but different delivery carriers (once uber eats and the other postmates), each time, I received vastly different amounts of yogurt and topping amounts. Neither of which were equal to what I paid for. Both times I selected and paid for the astronomically priced regular 12oz portion of yogurt for $10.25 (excluding the extra cost for toppings, I'll get to that next.) Because, I know how much their yogurt costs in store, you can believe I was EXPECTING to receive not a single OZ less than 12oz of yogurt for that price. However, only one of my deliveries was even close to 12oz. One of my deliveries probably had less than 6oz of yogurt in the cup. Now, on top of the yogurt price, the toppings whether cheesecake bites or rainbow sprinkles are all $1 additional. So, for cheesecake bites, rainbow sprinkles, mochi, strawberries, and bursting boba, I paid an additional $5. I was curious how they were going to provide me with what felt like five, $1 portions of toppings and they did this adequately with my postmates delivery by giving me five topping filled ramekins to add to my yogurt upon delivery. However, the second time I ordered, a very tiny amount of toppings were haphazardly thrown in with my very melted yogurt. I know if I had ordered this same amount of yogurt and toppings in store, as was delivered to me in my second order, it would have been about $7 total. Instead I paid nearly $17 for one of the most insulting deliveries I think I've ever received. Basically, the lesson learned here, was that just because a business offers delivery, does not mean they are offering the same quality product, or the same price for the same product that they sell in the store, or that when you order delivery the only markup you pay is that which is outlined by the delivery service. On top of the taxes, delivery charge and services fee's that you are paying the delivery service when you order here, Menchies has marked up their product prices for delivery by around double, but is providing you with far less than that, in terms of the quality and portion size. It borders on dishonest and I will not recommend them to others in the future. read more

Self-serve (and sample-before-you-self-serve-cups) FroYo, Marshmallow Creme, Hot Caramel Sauce, and all the nommy toppings you could hope for... My kids love this place, and so do I -- it can be pricey -- especially since I have zero sense of moderation (nor do my kids), so for 3 servings, it usually costs about $18-20, but it's a fun and yummy stop now and then. It can get quite packed -- and the flow (or lack thereof) of traffic (primarily due to samplers) can be a little irritating. read more

Good variety of sorbet and frozen yogurt with a cool selection of delicious toppings and syrups. Parking can be tough at times, but otherwise easy for the most part. You can take a taste test of the flavors before buying. Yogurt is available for those on the go. Very tempting toppings that make it very tough to pick. Didn't see the whipped cream like other frozen yogurt chains. The yogurt cup is pretty good and yummy for a very reasonable price. A bonus is that if you visit on Fridays between the hours of 9-11pm, its all you can fit into your cup for just $5. The spoons make the frozen yogurt worth every penny. read more

I love froyo and spent lots of time in northern California taste testing them all. Menchies pretty much has everything I'm looking for in froyo. A large variety of flavors in which they encourage you to test. They're all kosher, most are nonfat and full of flavor. I love that they offer the traditional tart flavor and their pineapple was seriously delish. You can mix and match any of the flavors and then pile on your own toppings. I also love that they have multi-flavored mochi, but I couldn't really distinguish the flavor/colors and that is really my only complaint. I haven't been able to find the real deal, fresh mochi anywhere in Seattle anyway. If you like froyo, you'll like Menchies. read more

Warning! Menchie's is only as good as your self control is. The product is good, the flavors are abundant and the idea is super creative. But it's nothing I'd tell tourists to come visit if they'd never been to Seattle. It's basically a soft-serve-yourself-spot. And it's a great idea! For just a few dollars you can mix up a heap of flavors and toppings to go or eat in. I don't like froyo quite as much as actual ice cream but will definitely come back if I'm in the area on a hot day. read more

This was my first trip to a self serve yogurt bar. I know I know...blasphemous. They have so many types of yogurt! I had banana, cake batter and chocolate flavors. Flavors include the usual: fruit, coconut flakes, chocolate chips, oreos etc. They also have 3 syrups: caramel, chocolate and something else I don't remember. My big cup was quite yummy and I had the whole serving I made myself (about $6)! The best part: on Fridays from 9-11pm, its all you can fit in your cup for $5! read more

This is my new favorite place to buy Fro-Yo. I used to go to Red Mango for Fro-Yo, but this is way better. There's more flavors to choose from on their extensive wall of EPIC flavors. You can mix any flavor you want. After you pick your flavors you head over to their toppings. There's so many to choose from but my favorite was the mochi (hands down). I also threw in gummy worms for good measure this time and they were inedible, hard as rock. I have had many good experiences at this Menchie's, but this experience was not good. All of the machines weren't working properly and there were messes all over the counters from toppings. The young blonde girl (I believe Sarah was her name),was unprofessional and was sitting on the side talking with her friends while we were trying to find the garbage can, which was not re-bagged. After we paid and started eating, she then told her friends to get whatever they wanted on the house, which I thought was strange considering there were many of them and there were paying customers still inside while she did this. Seriously, one of the best yogurt experiences I've had. They have the most extensive yogurt choices in Seattle, and the best part is that you can mix your own, and you just pay by the ounce. I went sample crazy and tried all of their 8 or 10 flavors which they let you sample before you get some...and sample I did. Most of them reminded me more of soft serve ice cream rather than frozen yogurt, but their tart flavor delivered in that department. The toppings bar put the regular hot fudge and sprinkles to shame, and I was just overwhelmed by all the delicious choices. And don't get me started with their fresh made waffle cones...yum. The setup was a free for all in terms of pouring your yogurt and adding you toppings...for organizational and health reasons it may be better for someone behind a counter serving you the food rather than the free for all, but it worked alright.
