A local friend had recommended this ice cream place to us a few times, so we finally decided to give the U Village location a try. We shared one of their hot fudge brownie sundaes--I can't remember the exact name--and the portion was easily big enough for two people. The ice cream and brownie combination was a nice treat, but overall it was way too sweet for our taste, especially with the hot fudge and all the toppings together. Service was friendly and the shop had a fun, casual atmosphere. While we probably wouldn't order the same sundae again, we'd definitely come back to try some of their regular ice cream scoops.

It's summertime so expect the lines. Other than that it's high-quality ice cream locally made woman owned. Pretty great. Lots of happy people in line.

Visiting from out of town and for three days in a row, we noticed the long line outside of Molly Moon's so we decided to try it! The flavors were interesting. We tried the cookies and cream and vegan yeti and moon butter cup (seasonal flavors in April 2026). It was rather pricey and the yeti and moon butter cup were incredibly sweet...so sweet we couldn't even finish, and we usually love all flavors of ice cream. A little disappointing despite its popularity.

One of the best ice cream places in all of Washington! Lots of unique flavors and great cones and all! My all time favorite is their strawberry matcha one!

Nice ice cream find with Yelp while traveling and staying near the UW campus. Near students? Of course there's an ice cream place nearby! The sundaes are big and very dense. My daughter had a brownie sundae and I had a Molly's sundae. Taste was pretty good and neither of us could finish ours. Getting to about 80% through it and we were stuffed. Line was out the door but moved pretty fast. I think we waited about 15 min in total.

I love that they are open late. My sister and I enjoyed their fast and easy service and got to walk around the shops as we enjoyed our cones on a warm summer night. Can't wait to make a memory like that again

I was really excited to try ice cream here for the first time and stopped by after dinner around 7pm. The shop is cute and had a few people inside at that time. We both ordered their seasonal flavor at the time, which was Peaches and Cream. The texture was rich and creamy, but it just wasn't very flavorful, especially the peach. Then I noticed a piece of hair in my ice cream cup, which was a disappointing experience. I'm not sure if I'd come back here for dessert.

I absolutely LOVE their ice cream here!! They have a good mix of the classics and seasonal flavors. There's also a good variety of toppings, cones, and different types of sundaes. Flavors are delicious and I love how creamy it is! They have something for everyone...there have vegan and gluten-free items and they are also allergy-aware. And for the lactose intolerant, they have lactaid available for those unexpected craving for ice cream! If you see a line outside, don't worry, it goes by fast! However, it can be a little intimidating if you've never seen the menu and/or you aren't familiar with their flavors

I got a double, Yeti & strawberry in a waffle cone. Service was slow which I get there is a long line & only two people, but both didn't seem like they were in a hurry and looked almost annoyed serving us. The ice cream was yummy but scoops were pretty small for over $10. Thankfully I am a PCC member so I can get a free waffle cone or topping.

Wonderful ice cream experience in a lively city! They had such a funny menu item - every but the sink scoops where you get to try all of the ice cream flavors LOL. I know it's overkill but you have to try them all. So fun. We ordered and shared the large dish. Staff were great at explaining the flavors and a line can form quickly inside. I'd recommend this for a quick treat after dinner in town

This is my go to ice cream shop! I tried the seasonal flavors: Blackberry Crème Fraîche, Cali Lime Pie, and Vegan Chocolate Donut, and they were absolutely fantastic. The Blackberry Crème Fraîche was creamy with hints of fruit. Might be good as a swirl. The Cali Lime Pie was a refreshing citrusy kick with a delightful hint of pie crust, and the Vegan Chocolate Donut was a quite a surprise, slightly coconut milk forward. The scoops were dense, creamy, and full of high-quality flavor. The staff are so patient when doling out samples making it a great customer experience. Plus they are happy to answer any questions. If you're in UVillage, give Seattle's own Molly Moon's a visit. You will not be disappointed!

Haven't came to Molly Moon in a while and it didn't disappoint. I got the melted chocolate scoop and it was so chocolatey, creamy and just sweet enough. So just a perfect chocolate ice cream. 100% would come back again!

I got scoops of Salted Caramel & Blackberry Cedar Tea Latte and my friends got Strawberry w/ Huckleberry Jam & Yeti - chocolate chips, homemade granola, vanilla bean caramel in sweet cream ice cream). Great ice cream shop! Loved how dense and creamy the scoops were. Flavors were high quality. Salted caramel was quite salty, huckleberry jam was unique, and I also loved the added texture in the Yeti. They give big scoops Staff were very nice.

First, the negatives that didn't affect my rating: parking is a pain, but that's expected for this neighborhood in Seattle. Seating is also very cramped and tight during the dinner rush. Annoying, yes, but understandable. What did affect the rating was the food itself. The Oreo brownie bingsu looked beautiful, but honestly it just was not very good. I've had much better bingsu elsewhere, even at chains like Snowy Village. It felt more Instagram-worthy than actually enjoyable. The mango cheesecake crepe was even worse. My friend and I literally scraped all the filling off and just ate the crepe itself because the toppings tasted so artificial. The mangoes tasted frozen, the syrup was overly sweet and processed tasting, and the whole thing lacked freshness. For the price, it was genuinely disappointing. The final bill ended up being over $40, which would have been easier to justify if the desserts were memorable, but they really weren't. One last thing: I don't mind tipping when there's actual service involved, but this is essentially counter service where customers are also expected to clear their own trays afterward. Having the tipping screen pop up at checkout after that experience just felt excessive and awkward.

So I'd pass on the mochi here and maybe do all ice cream. If ever we're in Seattle would visit again. Update: we came here a few yrs later. The drinks were still good as ever. They offer two flavors, Hokkaido Milk and Matcha, and I went with the swirl because I wanted the best of both worlds. I usually prefer my ice cream plain so I can focus on the flavor itself, but they do offer mochi and syrup toppings if you want to dress it up. I was actually a little surprised to see the strawberry syrup was sold out, which weirdly made me even more intrigued -- but in the end, I still stuck with the ice cream as is. The shop itself is a small pickup window attached to a larger Japanese restaurant, and it seems like a very cost-effective way to run the business. It also appeared to be operated by just two people, which made the whole operation even more impressive. When I went, there was a long line that stretched a good way down the street, but the wait moved quickly -- I spent about 15 minutes waiting to order and had my ice cream within minutes. The Hokkaido Milk was the standout for me: incredibly rich, creamy, and smooth. As someone who loves a good vanilla profile, I was very into it. The Matcha was also done really well, with just the right bitterness to balance the sweetness and complement the milk. I tried to isolate each flavor in every bite so I could appreciate them on their own, and I'm glad I did. By the time I finished, I was completely satisfied, but low-key wanted another round.
