Called a week in advance to confirm hours. They said 8am website said 8am asked about reserving space they said not needed. Arranged a meetup today at 9:30, got here at 9 to setup and they are closed. Checked the website, notices etc all said 8am. Called them and they said opening at 10am as a "today thing". Not a good look. Place ambiance also looks super casual compared to everything else that's cute on the street. Will move meetups elsewhere moving forward

Omg that white mocha is so good and the vibe here is so chill and great here too it's really soothing. I love the sounds of the coffee machine too. They have a window here for people watching. It's a great view. This is a frat place to read the paper or whatever you like to read

How have I never been here before!!???! I've driven and walked by this little spot for years and for some dumb reason, never have walked in.....until today. For Menlo Park the prices are amazing and the portions were huge. I ordered the Chicken Pesto Panini (I subbed the provolone for cheddar and added red onions) and they did not skimp on anything. The bread was perfect (Not too thick and not too thin) and very, very tasty. It was loaded with fresh veggies and grilled chicken. It was huge! Unless you are an extremely large eater, this is really a sandwich for two people. This is the kicker.....it was only $11 AND....all sandwiches include any can soda or can drink you choose!!! WHAT!? The sandwich was delicious and the people running the business are super sweet and kind. This is truly the hidden gem of Menlo Park! By the way.....Yelp has their hours listed incorrectly, they are open M -F from 8:00am to 4:00pm and Sat/Sun from 9:00am to 2:00pm.

Chicken pesto panini - it's really good!

Low key, a great alternative to Cafe Barrone if you're not into crowds. More reasonably priced for breakfast and lunch items.

The ambiance here is really nice as well, especially the outdoor patio. We went with a group of 7 smart was awesome! The service was also fast and prompt which was quite enjoyable. For food we tried: * Crab Cake Benedicts - these were delicious and the crab cakes were really well made and fresh. The side of potatoes this came with was also awesome. They were well spiced and the potatoes were perfectly soft. * Biscoff lotus pancakes - these were absolutely divine. The pancakes were perfectly fluffy and came in a stack of 4. They were huge with fresh whipped cream and a biscoff sauce. There was also maple syrup. The combo was out of the world and would definitely recommend one to get this when visiting! We were able to split this so everyone in our table was able to enjoy. Overall, really good experience here with fresh food and nice vibes. Would definitely go back again!

Not a terrible brunch spot, definitely worth the visit! But I did have some concerns…read more We ordered a special churro dalgona coffee, 5minutes of Heaven Shake, the OMG sandwich, and a half stack of the cookie butter pancakes! The food was very good to say the least, this amount of food was perfect for us. Though not too much of an issue (if this is the case) but the pancakes to me taste very very very similar to pancakes made with the Krusteaz brand pancake mix, I only say this because I had pancakes that used that specific brand's mix not too long before eating here. Regardless, the food was very delicious. For me and my girlfriend, the drinks were OKAY at best. To me, the coffee didn't have much "churro" taste in there besides the little churro treat that was added in the drink as a topping. The 5 minutes of Heaven shake threw us off a little because we weren't expecting the drink to be almost room temperature, we would have liked it to be cold like how our coffee was! Overall not too bad of a visit, definitely would come back if I'm ever in the Palo Alto area again.

Everything I tried from the old and new menu is super tasty, especially the Salmon Tartine and Pancakes. Coffee is the best in the bay and the pastries are delicious. Individual Fraisiers are my favorite. The staff is incredible and extremely hardworking. They're always so busy and yet so attentive. Ricardo is the highlight of this place, making my afternoons feel much more like I'm home having a good time with family and friends. His customer service is outstanding and he is so kind to me and my family. He definitely makes (along with the rest of the team) the experience at the cafe one of the best ones regarding hospitality and service.

With so many tempting options, I'm already looking forward to coming back and trying something new. Elegant, delicious, and made with care--definitely a place I'd happily return to and recommend! *****FIVE STARS*****

It's not overly fancy, and it feels like that good hearty meal that you would get at home... in Europe. I love it! The portions are fairly generous, and everything tastes super fresh, and is served with care. I originally thought I would have the breakfast sandwich, but ended up getting the classic two egg breakfast. My eggs were poached perfectly, the blueberry pancakes were topped with fresh blueberries, and powdered sugar with just combined together, took the flavors to the next level. The bacon was absolutely divine, but let's talk about the potatoes. They were buttery, crisp, fully flavored homestyle potatoes that make you want to put potatoes into their own food group. The service was great, the food was great, and this is definitely a restaurant that needs to be explored because everything on the menu sounds absolutely delicious! Parking was fairly easy, and I'm really excited to return and try more of the menu items.

However, we parked in the lot and were able to get a seat right away. Despite having a stroller, nobody asked if we needed a booster seat/high chair, so I went to go get one myself... We ended up ordering two of the Joanie's Breakfast Medleys, mine with french toast and chicken apple sausage, and my wife's with pancakes and bacon. Although it was a decently sized plate, I guess I expected a bit more for over $25...the french toast was like two halves of one slice, but the chicken apple sausage and potatoes were good. Coffee was nice as well, and they kept coming by to refill, which was nice and needed. However disaster struck when one of the waiters knocked off a tray from a ledge right by our table. The tray crashed onto our table and spilled water, hot coffee, and creamer all over me, and our under two year old who started crying. I rushed over to check for burns from the coffee, but luckily it was okay. After the clean-up I was waiting to see if anyone might come by to ask if anything was needed, let me know if I could get more food since I wasn't entirely finished, or at least apologize and comp our meal. Unfortunately I didn't get any replacement food, and they brought the bill and mentioned that we didn't have to pay for coffee...$68 pre-tip was a little upsetting after our experience, even though I know accidents can happen... Of course, later on I smelled spoilt because of the creamer/milk that was still on my clothes after walking around the Farmer's Market...lovely...
