We love coming here. In terms of pastries and eating options, it's great. The coffee isn't always consistent, so be sure to taste it first before heading out. The pricing is a bit steep; we pay at least $25 for two small coffees and two pastries. And the prices for their salads and sandwiches are equivalent to those at a casual restaurant. It's a coffee place, so there isn't much service. But there are often too many people working, and it's a bit disorganized. It's packed every time we've gone there, and seating is at a premium. Other drinks were good except for Cappuccino, which was a little burnt, which I did not expect. They had also missed the whipped cream on cardamom latte, but fixed after going back. For coffee place, I was expecting to have top-notch basic Cappuccino done right. If any of you are wondering, they are using the rising coffee bean mix. Ambiance was buzzing and crowded. So I was super excited to see that they finally opened a sit down cafe in Bellevue after having only drive thru locations. I'm a fan of their coffee and they offer lots of great food options ranging from sandwiches, salads, fruit, and freshly baked bakery items like pastries and flat bread! Yum! Basically they have everything to please anyone in your group. Don't be afraid of the line because it usually goes by fast and the baristas are attentive in getting your order placed. They have a cool drip coffee machine that is on display for you to see how the coffee is made as well and offer chocolate coffee beans The location is big with plenty of table seating and chairs along with bar seating with comfy red stools. On the right side as you enter they have a huge area like the Starbucks Roastery where you can see them roasting coffee and bringing out the bakery items. On the left side is where all the seating is located and it can get pretty busy with people working here but always people shuffling out so you're bound to find a spot to sit. The vibe is a little louder then most coffee shops and I think this is due to the Flatscreen TV's they've put everywhere to make it more of a Bar cafe for people to watch the game. read more

This place is a full on experience, it's not just a coffee place by any means. The first thing you will notice is their bakery area where they are banging out baked goods of all kinds. The 2nd thing that hits you is the delicious smell hanging all over the air inside. (The 1st and 2nd things are interchangeable). I was blown away. I got their Cinnamon bun and they are incredibly rich and delicious. They are heavy so go easy. I appreciated the fact that they had plenty of seating on the inside so I could really park myself there for a while and get things done while I waited for my friend. They have special deals at different times where you can put money on their coffee card and get bonus cash or discounts. If I lived closer, I def. would go there all the time just to be in the vibe and take it all in. We missed our turn one afternoon and ended up finding this wonderful place. Being from out of town, we went in and we were pleasantly surprised. So many interesting things to see and try and not enough time. Staff were very nice and patient although really busy while serving the lunch hour crowd. We had a cold brew and some iced tea. Got a croissant with cream filling and topped with toasted coconut which was yummy. Missed taking a photo of that. Would have loved to linger for awhile and try a few other drinks and pastries. I looked up if Mercurys Coffee is elsewhere but it looks like all of its 12 locations are in Washington state. OH my? This place is my go to spot on the east side. And, if I'm in the area, I make a reason to go! Love the seating options, and everything for sale to eat is delightful! Went in for a brunch and had a hearty/fulfilling meal and also came out armed with baked goodies. Had the best veggie quiche like ever; fresh, flavorful, and loaded with vegetables. Came in for a work from home day but ended up leaving after we finished eating. Music was loud, overall atmosphere was just not suitable for work, personally. But because it was so loud, I noticed the cashiers had to ask customers to repeat their orders often. Friendly service, nevertheless!! I ordered a blended latte and a chocolate almond croissant from Mercurys Coffee, and unfortunately both were a big letdown. The latte was extremely sweet- so sweet that I couldn't even finish it and had to throw it away. A latte usually doesn't come with added sugar, and no one mentioned that this one would be loaded with it. The croissant wasn't any better. It tasted old, overly sweet, and not fresh at all. For nearly $15, the quality was nowhere close to what I expected. Honestly, this place is not worth the hype. Please beware- my money felt completely wasted. Super disappointing. Not much interaction with staff, they are efficient not rude or particularly chatty but definitely you'll get in out and all questions answered...quiche was fantastic. Coffee was really strong and not what I'd expected but also I didn't ask what to expect for the drip coffee. WOW these croissants are gigantic. I got a turkey provolone at 3pm (still a few available) and it's longer than my 32oz starburst tea is tall! The croissant was delicious. The tea was as fruity and sweet and refreshing as I wanted. I actually came with the intent to use up what I thought was a $10 gift card but when you sign up for rewards apparently they give you $10. So I still have a gift card, although having visited I'm not mad to be back some time. The cashier was super friendly, and despite a line that wraps around the station everyone was very kind and patient. Also got my food and drinks pretty fast, which surprised me given the line. It turns out I landed in THE mercury's coffee, they have the whole machine/roastery/gigantic whisks in the back and the building itself is very airy and nice, again, despite the line. Mercury coffee is consistently good regardless of location. This is the mother ship (literally the one next to HQ) where they process the beans and make the baked goods. Its a huge store so there are tons of generously-sized, delicious baked goods to choose from, in addition to tons of amazing looking sandwiches and salads, and treats!! You can have a nice lunch here or grab one to go They have an amazing drink selection and there drinks are done perfectly. Everyone I know loves their roast. One difference between this place and others is they actually give you many drink ideas on the menu so you are able to get things you would have never known to come up with on your own. This is my go-to coffee shop and the staff is ALWAYS super friendly and happy to be there. I love how large and open it is so even if it is busy, it doesn't feel chaotic. Other notes: -they have many alternative milk options whereas many cafés now only have one. -Try the gigantic varieties of rice Krispy treats, they are amazing! -Also, if you just want something to go, order ahead so it is ready when you arrive, especially if it busy since the line can get long. The service was quick, and the food exceeded my expectations. Highly recommend the macadamia nut/coconut flavors that you can add to any drink, and asking about their point card system. I don't know if this is something they do all year round, but when we were getting our point card they added $10 to our next purchase! This is also a really nice big location, you should note that some Mercurys are strictly only drive-through option only. Until a few months ago, I never knew Mercurys Coffee has supersize locations similar to Starbucks Reserves that also has food, sit down tables, etc. The ones near me are drive-thru two stories tiny hubs that I can't even walk in. Anyway, this Bellevue location is huge in comparison. Strangely, on a sunny Saturday after in the winter, it was PACKED! Nearly all tables are occupied. Their normally pleasant giant windows cooked our faces on this sunny day. We stalked another table becoming available and hurriedly made the switch. Phew. Though this location is in a strip mall type of locale, parking is surprisingly difficult to find. An alternative is to park across the small access street that appears to be the Mercurys warehouse and walk over. At 1:30pm, there was still a vast selection of sandwiches, salads, and pastries, in addition to the normal drinks menu. My eyes grew quite wide trying to narrow things down. After placing the order, we had to look for and claim the table with our jackets, then return to the pickup area to get food and drinks. The food was available super-fast, even with re-heating. They put a chocolate covered espresso bean on the lid of the drink as a free treat. My drink was so scorching hot that the lid was enough to melt the chocolate off the espresso bean. Beware of hot drinks! Minus 0.5 Stars: Why don't these eateries post prices? With the jump in cost, they should communicate the cost. Order to see price on the little screen. Luckily, the prices weren't too out-of-line. The Food: Curry Chicken Sandwich, $12.95 - 4 Stars After being warmed, this is a very good sandwich. The curry flavor comes through well. It is quite sizable and a comfortable share with a friend. Chocolate croissant - 2 Stars The texture is more like layers of bread lacking the crisp of the croissant. Will not choose this again. 16oz Bees Knees Tea Latte, $5.25 - 4.5 Stars With two tea bags in the cup and Honey, Cinnamon & a dash of Brown Sugar (per menu), this drink is so delicious! I had to wait forever for it to cool down enough to drink though. This is the aforementioned beverage that melted the chocolate off my treat! read more

It's Thank You Thursday and Yelpers have been called upon to write some updates! One of my favorite places that is getting a review promotion is Mercurys Coffee. Whether it's hot out and I want an iced coffee or it's cool out and I want a warm up, I've yet to be disappointed with the actual coffee here. The baked goods and breakfast sandwiches, particularly the crossaints are always great. They're nicely displayed so you know what's available complete with a tag so you know what your looking at and can decide as you get to the register. The service deserves a nice shout out. Most of the time I come here it's the lunch rush/mid day coffee rush so it is swamped. Huge line, all kinds of orders coming in but I've never had any of the baristas show any kind of descension in their attitude. Always greet every person that steps up and when being handed my order it's usually accompanied with "have a nice day!" or "Here you are, enjoy" or something similar. If you're gonna charge $10 for a scoop of chicken salad for a grab and go cooler, probably need a better level of service. The espresso tastes super burnt, probably the barista over packing the espresso cup, though. The pastries we've had were pretty good. Ambiance feels cold.
