    GRILLED SPANISH OCTOPUS

Where do i begin?! From service, ambiance, food to drinks the Meridian hits the center line of the soul. You could tell from the music the kitchen was vibing to. The attitude of service & management was a team, community that was upbeat, happy & cheerful. I could feel it in the food! The apps were exquisite, the single caesar salad bite encompassed a whole salad, astonishing! Spanish stemmed & grilled crispy octopus tasted like i was in the Mediterranean. The Hokkaido scallops & branzino with Shiso leaves & sauce verde was utter perfection.

Some friends from work were talking about this place so I added it to my list of places to try. We had a fantastic dinner here recently. They have a fair amount of seating in the bar/lounge, main dining room, and the patio. We should have started at the bar/lounge because they have a pretty decent happy hour. However, our corner booth table was comfortable. The menu has a good variety of options. My wife had a glass of rose and I had the creme brûlée old fashioned. The old fashioned came with a sugar rim that you break open with a spoon. Fun and unique for sure. It was on the sweeter side, but I enjoyed it. We tried the MF nugs, the salmon crudo, pommes puree, and the pork ragu caccio e Pepe. Everything had great flavor. The nugs had a similar flavor to Nashville hot chicken and a great dipping sauce. The sauce for the salmon crudo was flavorful. The garlic and pepper and the salmon was tasty. The hand rolled pasta was delicious. We tried the smores dessert and the server came out with a flaming hot piece of wood with tongs to toast the marshmallow. Delicious dessert and great presentation. Our server was awesome. Very informative and knowledgeable. The rest of the wait staff were on top on it with refills of water and clearing things from the table. We will definitely be back to try more menu options.

Everything was really good!!! The lamb bolognese was so great as well as the sesame s'mores. I would highly recommend those! Ambience was great! I think the service was awesome as well; they folded my napkin for me when I went to the bathroom without me even asking.

This restaurant is located in a beautiful plaza but is a little tricky to find at first--the GPS kept directing us to what looked like a luxury apartment building. Don't let that stop you, though. It's absolutely worth the effort once you arrive. The food and drinks here are creative, detailed, and thoughtfully executed. We tried several chef's specials, and every dish felt like a small surprise. Each bite brought something new, and I honestly felt spoiled by the experience. Standouts for me were the mushroom dishes and the broccolini with garlic--simple but perfectly done. The cornbread was excellent on its own, especially with the extra butter, even without the foie gras. The aged beef tasted a little unusual to me, but I really appreciated that the price was adjusted at checkout, which says a lot about the restaurant's integrity. The staff were very knowledgeable, attentive, and made the whole experience feel relaxed and welcoming. Even the restroom was impressive--clean, luxurious, and thoughtfully designed, with fabric towels instead of paper, which I loved for its sustainability. Overall, this was a memorable dining experience with lots of creativity and care. I would definitely come back and recommend it for a special night out.

Meridian is truly a standout in the Dallas dining scene. Whether you're looking for an intimate date spot or a refined place to catch up with friends, the ambiance and level of service here are hard to beat. The Highlights: -The Experience: We had a fantastic time from start to finish. The General Manager, Steve, went above and beyond to ensure we were taken care of. He even helped us capture some great photos and personally recommended a beautiful glass of red wine that paired perfectly with our Wagyu. -The Food: The flavors and presentation are world-class. We explored a variety of dishes, including an appetizer, a side, and two different Wagyu entrees that were incredibly tender. We finished the night with two desserts that were as beautiful as they were delicious. -The Hospitality: What really set Meridian apart for me was how they handled a minor hiccup. One of our dishes arrived a bit cooler than expected. However, the staff and the Chef handled it with such grace and professionalism that it actually enhanced our confidence in the restaurant. They truly care about the guest experience. Value: While you can easily spend over $100+ per person here, you absolutely get what you pay for. Between the stunning location, the thoughtful food presentation, and the attentive staff, it is a 5/5 experience. I'll definitely be back. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a top-tier meal in a beautiful setting!

So, first, make sure you make a reservation. When you walk in, you are greeted by the hostess--she's a very nice lady. I have to say, they are very accommodating; my dad has a prosthetic, and they made sure we had a perfect table for him. So many kudos! As we sat down, our waiter Robert introduced himself; he was amazing. Since it was our first time there, he explained every part of the menu and gave some great recommendations. We had a wonderful assortment of food. The bread is so delicious--almost melts in your mouth--and the butter that comes with it is perfect. The beef tartar has a nice texture and flavor; when I first tasted it, it reminded me of salmon, but I knew it wasn't. The cocktail I had is called "Practical Magic." It has lavender infused in it, and it's a gin-based drink. The Sakura pork is so delicious. It has a nice spicy crust--not very spicy, just a little kick. The meat is tender, and there's a nice verju in the middle that pairs great with it. The chicken is very nice and moist, not dry at all. The skin was a bit salty, but that's just my palate. The Wago beef cheek was great; my brother said that it just melted in your mouth, and the broth really brought everything together. The s'mores dessert is delicious. It really brought back camping memories. The only thing is that it's like a mousse, so my brain was a bit confused--other than that, it was delicious. The banana bun was good; I loved the caramel, and the banana ice cream was a nice complement. Overall we had the most amazing time. Thank you for making the night amazing I can't wait to head back.

First and foremost beautiful restaurant. I initially went to the bar and ordered a mocktail, specifically, savor the moment because it was the only one that appeared to not be apple juice adjacent. I personally wasn't a fan and ended up sticking with a water for the rest of the night. The service was phenomenal, the hostess upgraded our table and we were able to see the kitchen which was an experience in itself. As for actual food, I ordered the PORK RAGU CACCIO E PEPE. It was nice and not overly creamy. My friend ordered the lamb bolognese. Of the two, I would definitely recommend Lamb Bolognese. The sauce, the noodle choice, cheese, were all just so perfect. As for dessert we had the Vietnamese coffee ice cream. It kinda reminds me of an affogato. It was very delicious. You can taste the cardamom in the cake part but it balances with the caramel sauce and ice cream. We also had the black sesame s'more, I was looking forward to it the whole night and unfortunately it just didn't meet expectations. In all honesty, I may just not have the palette for it. It was bland to me. It was not sweet or spiced. Furthermore more on the service, our server was exceptional breaking down the menu for us and giving us opinions on the items. Overall an astonishing experience. I would come back and recommend to others

Meridian is easily the highlight of my week! Every dish and cocktail is creative, intentional, and consistently amazing. I didn't think they could top themselves, but the new spring menu proved me wrong. The staff is just as incredible - so kind and genuinely welcoming in a way that's hard to find. I'm there 2-3 times a week some weeks and it never gets old. From birthdays and milestones to New Year's Eve and random weeknight dinners or happy hours, I've experienced Meridian in every setting and it's perfect every single time. I'll keep coming as long as they'll have me!

Their accommodated eight of us for dinner. All of the food came out at the same time the waiter went over the whole menu and explained to the history of the restaurant. It's a really cool experience very cute cool atmosphere. I'd say this place is pretty upscale ranging between $40 per person or more

Everything about this place was great! The staff were friendly and attentive. The food was delicious and the restaurant itself was beautiful.

Meridian 2.0 - an innovative, thoughtful establishment led by Chef Eduardo that you must try. I took a peek into the kitchen, and learned from Chef how the wood-fired hearth (the heart of the restaurant) is central to the restaurant's identity. Most items pass through the hearth at some point in its prep - from slowly marinating in smoke essence at the top rack to charred straight on the fire itself. First the food: - duck breast: 6/5, to die for, juicy, just the perfect amount of smokiness, accompanied with a sweet jam - branzino: 5/5, perfectly charred - blue cornbread: 5/5, incredibly moist, and the foie gras was added in a way that made sense - a nice richness. I also usually am not keen on adding caviar for the sake of caviar, but we did the optional add-on and I highly recommend, adds a nice saltiness - crudo: 5/5; a unique blend of flavors featuring passion fruit - ribeye: 4/5, a light dry aged with a deeply flavorful tomato ragú - chilled smoked oyster: 4/5, refreshing small bite - blue prawn toast: 4/5, though I personally don't gravitate towards deep fried items, the chives and portion of prawn washed away what typically would be oily - winter greens salad: 4/5, citrusy and wintery with bites of hazelnut - sweet potatoes: 4/5, a little too sweet for me (which we were warned ahead of time) but loved the medley of flavors - viet coffee ice cream: 3.75/5, lots of promise but this (along with the other dessert) needs some work, the salted cream was a nice touch but it's quite strong and if you get a big scoop of the cream, it's overwhelming. Not sure how I felt about the cake, got a little soggy on the bottom. I think a crispy texture would've been nice to round the dish out. - kalmansi sorbet: 3/5, I think similar here because there's a lot of soft textures, a crisp texture would've been nice. I liked each component of the dish but not sure if they melded together well for me. Our server, Doug, was phenomenal. He gave honest and great recommendations, not just your typical "everything is delicious!" He accommodated one member of our party who didn't like his initial drink and swapped it out with a persimmon drink that hit the spot. Water cups were promptly refilled, and dishes were timed well. I also appreciated their new interior decor and loved the paper used for the menu (reflective dots that made the menu appear as if it was glittering). Tips: Make sure to make a reservation in advance and request the main dining area, they have overflow in a glass covered patio but the ambiance isn't as nice. Overall, Meridian has had a phenomenal beginning, and I'm excited to see how the restaurant evolves this year!

The flavors of the sauces were impeccable! We loved every bit of the apps and entrees. The service was superb! Our server was extremely attentive and helped us celebrate our 2 year anniversary so well. I think the main upgrade would be the dessert -- I think the flavor of the black sesame paired with the texture just didn't work well for the s'mores dessert. Swapping that out for a chocolate crust or even an Oreo one would be a great move. Overall, a wonderful experience!

A lot of hype around this place and truly it is one of the only restaurants ive tried in Dallas that is actually worth it. The ambiance is so cool with the open kitchen. INCREDIBLE drinks (their signature passion fruit one bangs) and fast service. Got a bunch of things but would recommend 10000x over the foie and sea cornbread. We got the lamb belly, crudo, duck and squash pasta. Though I liked it all, I would go back to try other items instead (except the cornbread, that stays). I heard they're going for a Michelin star and though I don't think they're quite there yet, I think everything was done well and there is definitely enough for every palate

The drinks have unique flavor combinations that actually deliver and the happy hour is phenomenal. We're talking 50% off select appetizers and entrees, $12 Over the Counter cocktails, $10 classics, and BOGO ponies and shots. They also have daily specials Tuesday through Thursday and Sunday. The space has serious speakeasy vibes so give your eyes a few seconds to adjust when you walk in from the bright light outside. Icelandic Hot Dog ($3.50 HH): Tiny single bite TX wagyu dog that was cute but hard to share. Tasted pretty similar to a regular hot dog. Tostada ($4 HH): Kanpachi on a blue corn tortilla. I'd recommend getting 2 since it gets messy the moment you take a bite and I didn't really get a proper taste of it because of that. Caviar Chip ($6.50 HH): A generous dollop of caviar on a kettle cooked potato chip with creme fraiche underneath. A yummy combo but honestly something you could recreate at home. East Coast Oyster ($2.75 HH): My husband got a single oyster to try and thought it was pretty good. London Fog ($12 HH): Milk washed London dry gin, earl grey, aveze, dry curacao, and vanilla orange honey. I loved this cocktail. I don't usually like gin and find earl grey too strong on its own but this combination was perfection. It was also served in the cutest tea cup with a yummy cookie on the side. Morocco ($12 HH): Moroccan mint tea, terralta reposado, rye, fernet branca menta, and agave. Not my favorite compared to the London Fog but my husband absolutely loved it and said it was one of the best cocktails he has ever had. He even said it would have been his signature cocktail at our wedding. I was shocked but to each their own. Confit'd and Fried Chicken Wings ($7.50 HH): The most disappointing item of the night. Came with 6 wings tossed in a Korean wing sauce that tasted very close to buffalo. The wings themselves were average. Skip these. Beef Cheek Tacos ($12 HH): Came with 3 tacos that were some of the best we've had in a while. Delicious, flavorful, no notes. Highly recommend. Soft Serve Marg ($12 HH): Like a boozy dole whip that doubled as dessert. Not too heavy but not super strong either. A fun way to end the meal. Pekin Tom ($20): Duck fat washed wild turkey 101, lapsang peach liqueur, absinthe, and pecan smoke. Not part of the happy hour menu. They smoke it right in front of you which is a cool presentation but the taste was pretty average. APO Burger ($10 HH) + Truffle Fries Sub ($7): The truffle fries felt a bit steep but they ended up being worth it. Super crispy, delicious, and addictive. The burger was cut in half which made it easy to share and it came with a TX wagyu patty, bruleed fontina, Spanish tomato spread, garlic whip, and chive. Burst of flavors, melt in your mouth wagyu, absolutely chef's kiss. We will 100% be coming back. It's a perfect spot for an intimate date night.

Great customer service goes a long way with me, and because of that, I'm willing to come back and give Hudson House another try. Hopefully, next time the food matches the level of service!

My friend and I came here totally unplanned since they opened a lounge downstairs called La Mina…read more The restaurant is attached to a hotel, so it has that kind of feel. We were seated and taken care of by our server, who was so sweet and very patient. We ordered drinks. I had to get tea because I was chilly. Outdoor seating at night isn't the greatest because it was very dark, so we stayed inside. The food was exceptional. The herbs they use are picked from their local garden, and the food is incredibly fresh. I ordered the marinated lamb kebabs and Hummus. By the way, their hot tea is fantastic. I highly recommend it but the food was also delicious. The only thing is that the Hummus was very salty but still delicious. The dessert is the best part of the meal. They do change their menu frequently. We hot a chocolate cremeux mousse with chocolate cake - it was soooo good! 10 out of 10! Everything was fantastic and I'll be back!

We came for Sunday lunch and didn't know there there was only a brunch menu available. Thankfully all the food was pretty good! The lamb shakshuka was flavorful and kofta was moist. Eggs Benedict, hummus, bread with butter and jam, and pancakes were all solid as well! Presentation was beautiful. My only disappointment was with the pita bread - I found the bread flat and and a little dry. Service was efficient and nice. It did feel more like a business meeting or brunch type of place - not so much a family place. Thankfully it was pretty empty when we went so our baby didn't have anyone to disturb. Would definitely recommend coming to try!

Overall: 2.6/5 [dine in]…read more The place is nice, but smaller than expected. They had bubble guns too, which was a fun surprise. We came in near closing time, but Emilia provided us great service and stayed attentive even though they were clearly packed. We were seated at a table near the door, and unfortunately it had a vomit smell. Whatever it was, my friend could not stand it and had to get up and step away from the table. We first thought the culprit was the paper drink coasters, but then the staff removed the door mat near us later on, so maybe someone puked on it and the smell lingered, even after it was cleaned up. Clear Mizu ($16): This has Sakura vermouth and bitters, so we ordered it. It tasted like straight up gin and was not good. It was actually one of the rare times my husband could not finish his drink. Kyoto Sunset ($15): This one wasn't bad and tasted like honeydew. The ingredients include honeydew Calpico, so that makes sense. Johnny Walker Black ($16): This was our friend's drink, which I think was just coke and Johnny Walker. Nothing special about the taste either. Given the smell and so-so/terrible cocktails, we will not be coming back or taking our friends here.
