I read many reviews about this place so I decided to get some to go on the way back from the H-E-B. The staff were attentive and friendly and I sampled a few tacos types and a quesadilla. They were all fresh, and delicious but I have to say the stars were the tacos. I tried a Barbados and a Pastor both on corn and just with onion and cilantro...both were full of flavor and I look forward to ordering tacos from here when I am in the area. The inside was clean and nice, but often I am grabbing tacos to take home on the run...I now have a new go to spot for tacos...will try some of the other meat offerings next time. read more

READ ALL!!! WAYYYYYY over priced and menu prices are lower then the actual price when you get your check. They also charged me $13.50 for "top shelf Rita's" when I ordered the house jumbo for $8.50 but they still gave me a house jumbo for the top shelf price. I even went twice just to get a second opinion once for dinner and once for brunch. For $80+ I will go have real top shelf Rita's and fajitas at Guadalajara hacienda instead. My brunch order was the "OMELET MEXICANA" it was missing the Queso Fresco, Tomato, Onion, and the Roasted Ranchero Sauce on the top. Food is ok but not for that price if they would lower their jumbo Rita from $13.50 to 6.50 it would be better. I just realized the first time I went for dinner I asked for the house Rita and got charged twice for a top shelf Rita! $5 for 3 pieces of bacon and $4 for a small side of hash browns is to expensive. read more

The food is good, but they have been closed the last two times we went to go. Carne Asada was excellent, along with the Queso. The cheese enchiladas my honey had were not great. Cheese not melted, and the topping wasn't good. read more

The food is always good. I have had the fajitas (delicious), enchiladas (amazing), and this most recent time I ordered the grilled chicken and vegetables. The food never fails the amaze me, no matter what I get. Everytime I come here I sit at the bar with Edgar and he delivers excellent service and is very attentive to his guests. Came here for lunch with my coworkers today & WOW. How did I not find this gem before? Got one barbacoa taco and fajita taco, and added queso fresco and it was amazing! The salsas were great, and so was the hot sauce. Will be back here soon to try the torta! read more

I loved our dinner here last week. We had some amazing salsa, guacamole, an al pastor huarache and some incredible steak fajitas. I'm not even usually a huge fajita fan, normally preferring tacos, tortas, etc, but they smelled so awesome here that we had to try them and weren't disappointed. I also had a huge house margarita that I thought was great. I saw someone complain about the prices but all I know is that two of us had more than we could eat and drink on a Friday night for just over $50. I suppose that's a little more than your neighborhood dive Mexican joint but very reasonable for this type of place. read more

The food was great, I had cheese enchiladas with tomatillo sauce - I would have preferred more sauce. For whatever reason though, the enchiladas rang up as 7.99 instead of the 6.99 listed on the menu. Not really a big deal - I paid without complaining. But that combined with the slow service (food was just lukewarm when I finally got it) means this place only gets 3 stars for now. The tables are limited, but that's not a bad thing. I'm sure they're experiencing some growing pains. I'll be back and hopefully everything will be sorted out. Nice to have a new food choice nearby, hope they make it! read more

This used to be my favorite Mexican food in the area. But this place has slowly gone down hill. Customer service is non existent. On my last visit the waiter brought our drinks and we didn't see him again until our food was brought. Meanwhile I needed another margarita and my wife's water and sons soda were empty. When I finally got the waiters attention he acted has if I was bothering him. This is the third visit in recent times where I have recieved bad service. I will not be back. The food is very good but not worth the price. The food prices have always been higher than average but recently the management here decided to raise the prices yet again. You would think that maybe with a price increase the food serving would be bigger but no..the same portions for more money. No thank you. Do yourself a favor save your money and go elsewhere where they still care about the customers. read more

The atmosphere in this restaurant is very relaxed and good for friendly hangouts. The food I ordered was extremely bland. I think I got something called pollos enojados... and it just wasnt anything to make me want to return. Came in for breakfast but was very disappointed. My husband ordered the chilaquiles and left all the food. Chilaquiles were the size of the chips. I'm guessing they just get chips and mix it with the red sauce. I ordered a breakfast plate but was told it didn't come with tortillas even though the menu specifically states it does. Sadly disappointed at the quality of the food. The fajita torta was big but so were the large chunks of fajita meat which made the torta difficult to chew properly, and the bread was LARGE AND DRY. The flavor of the meat was not noticeable and there was a lot of mayo. They also went heavy on the raw onions too. Also the torta came with slightly underdone french fries. The gordita was not stuffed with the chicken as the description of the menu indicated. Which was good I guess because it soften the tortilla which was really tough. The flavor the the chicken was decent but the chicken tasted like it came from a can, the consistency looked like it too. Heavy on the onions, like more onions then they was fresh tomato. Shame on the food, but the staff was really friendly. I did give them my feedback when they asked what I thought of the food. I would rather go down further on 242 to the Taco Stand off the side of the road if I want a traditional torta. read more

My wife ate here yesterday and was impressed with the ambiance and food. She had fajita tacos that were cooked to perfection and three salsas that were delicious. So today we are driving nearby and I mentioned I hadn't had breakfast yet and she recommended we stop here. I ordered breakfast tacos and coffee. They were great. This would be five stars if it were not for the fact that the free chips she included with the order tasted stale. My wife mentioned they tasted a little off yesterday as well. People and servers were nice and friendly. Salsa was light, no flavor, queso was so horrible I had to send it back. The queso was pure orange. No tomatoes, no extra anything. I asked the server if the queso came from a Can because it tasted like Ricos nacho cheese and it probably was lol. I ordered a Gordita with steak the quality of the meat was so poor I feel like I spit half of it out because it was fat. I also ordered chicken flautas, those were actually decent if you add a ton of Chile. This place was definitely disappointing. I'm Latina, maybe my expectations are higher , but honestly the flavor and quality was less than average. Had ceviche and 4 kinds of tacos (carnitas, barbacoa, pastor and lengua) and it was all excellent. Very fresh and amazing flavors on all 4 meats. Definitely get the corn tortillas. The ceviche was so fresh and had an unusual twist for me which was oregano. He was amazing. Service was good. We found this restaurant on yelp and stopped by on a Tuesday night. The place was pretty busy, service was kind of slow. Chips and salsa didn't come out until after our meal, but the food was delicious. My wife had a margarita and said it was very tart and not really "all that" (she ordered a frozen strawberry but there was only a little strawberry syrup drizzled on the side of the glass- it could have been better). Our server was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. The prices were very fair. We will definitely return but hope to receive better service next time. read more
