Anyway it was very bitter, took one sip and asked for a different drink, which they agreed to with no issue. The second drink was called no aloha. It was much better but tini wini! Lol I came home and fixed a good old glass of wine! Now to the food. I had honey hot chicken and sweet potatoes (fries) The flavors were perfect. I can't have dairy so I got honey hot dipping sauce . Perfect amount of spices and heat. I would like to come back and try the vegan nachos. The restaurant is designed like a diner. Nice atmosphere. Throwback music. It's right next to a concert venue.we got tickets to several concerts. Don't know if every customer gets that or it was only for the yelp event. event. I am interested in having brunch next time. Overall pretty good and fun night out. Don't think it would make Guy's pick list tho :)

I have been wanting to try the Metro Dinner since they first opened on US 31. My wife invited me out to Metro for lunch and I finally had my chance! The staff were all friendly and seemed really excited that we were there! The diner was clean and the atmosphere was very comfortable. I ordered the Avocado Veggie Wrap with fries and my wife ordered the chicken wrap. As a vegetarian, I was disappointed that the fries came out with a small piece of chicken in them. I assume that they use the same oil to fry everything however I'd rather not have remnants on my plate. The avocado wrap was mostly enjoyable. We both wished that the ingredients on our wraps were spread out more. It had some areas that we're all jalapenos or all carrots. My husband had a big glob of orange spread at the bottom of his burrito which seemed odd. We did receive some of the best services that we have had in a long time. The waitress was helpful, friendly and attentive. As the mom of a special needs child, I was very pleasantly surprised to see that the busboy was disabled and treated very well by the other staff. There were a few things that weren't satisfactory however I look forward to giving the Metro Diner another try. read more

I very rarely give 5 star ratings but this place more than deserves this rating. The manger on duty and the wait staff were exceptionally well trained and exceedingly efficient in their jobs. Could not have asked for better service or friendlier service. The food was very good and cooked just as requested so they too were exceptionally good. Last but not least were the folks cleaning tables as the guests were leaving. They were very efficient and very quick in getting their tasks finished. The last having to do with the folks cleaning the tables speaks volumes about the restaurant in hiring those with handicaps. All in all it was like stepping back in time 50 or so years to a time when customer service WAS the standard and not the exception to the rule. It truly was a great experience and felt somewhat like looking at a Norman Rockwell painting as I looked around the restaurant. Great job! You've got a new customer for life! read more

I love love love this place! Best breakfast/brunch spot in Indianapolis. Hands down. Literally can't get over this place. We tried it on a whim a couple of months ago, and I'm so glad we did! The service is always top notch - friendly and efficient! I ordered an omelet, which came with two pancakes and hash browns. The pancakes were good, but the hash browns were somewhat cold and not crispy. I wanted sausage, onion, mushroom and pepper jack cheese in the omelet - it came as I ordered, but it was a slice of pepper jack cheese that was just laid inside the egg. It was hard to eat the omelet, since the cheese usually binds everything together. The server was nice, and the bill had cash vs credit costs. Overall it was okay, but definitely could use some improvements.
