First time to this Metro Diner. We had the fish and chips and I must say one of the best I've had. Two large pieces, perfectly battered and fried, and extra flaky inside. Service was excellent even at prime time lunch hour. We will definitely be back.

Service is always great. It had been a while since we had been here and it never disappoints. Thanks Cierra you did an awesome job. I appreciated my ice black coffee. .

Metro diner is always a great place for a meal. Breakfast is always available - they also offer a good selection of burgers, chicken dishes - even chicken and waffles! They have salads, ribs, shrimp and grits and so far everything we've tried has been quite satisfactory. The staff is always knowledgeable-friendly-fast. The coffee is great! So if you're feeling a bit peckish- stop in!

Stopped in for breakfast. I was seated immediately and placed my order of biscuits and gravy along with eggs and home fried potatoes. The biscuits and gravy were fantastic! The eggs were done perfectly as over easy. The potatoes were OK I really would prefer just the real potatoes cut up and served rather than the prepackaged cubes that are being used by most restaurants today service is excellent.

Fresh. Lots of food for a great price, they not stingy at all! The chicken and waffles is my favorite and I think that's all I would get when I go there ‍ worth it every time.

The BEST diner in Greenwood. Line was out the door this morning but we were able to belly up to the bar area right away. Metro diner has the best prices for bloody mary's around. Our waitress Bonnie provide excellent service to us. She was prompt to serving us, she was super friendly and was able to answer my questions and provide recommendations. We got to watch the kitchen staff put in work which was so fun! They did an amazing job, they were quick, clean and communicative. Well done, looking forward to dining here again soon. Cheers!

Food has a good taste, just needed a little salt. Fast service and seated fast for a house full of people. Overall would dine here again! Only little complain was we were upgraded for a meal when we only wanted the single plater, of the biscuits and sausage gravy.

I stopped in today to try one of the new burger choices. It's the "Big Kahuna". I orders medium temp and it had Swiss cheese, pulled pork, grilled pineapple, slaw and pineapple aioli. What an incredible flavor combination. My server was Bonnie and she kept my drink glass full and checked in on me several times. This location is friendly and they remember my name. It's important that you are not just a faceless table number. Love the team at Metro Diner.

Great experience! The place was packed but we were still seated and served quickly! Our waitress, Jen, did fantastic! We had some mimosas and brunch and it all tasted so good and fresh! The cheese curds were SO GOOD!

The feel on the inside is antique, and has an added effect from the dim lighting. Our server last night handled our large party well, and I never once had to ask for a refill. There is an extensive menu offering. My previous visit we had the homemade chips and ranch, fried pickles, and I had a shallos tenderloin. The homemade chips and ranch is a can't miss. The fried pickles were unique in that they were pickle spears instead of pickle chips- also served with ranch, and also great. The shallos tenderloin- the meat had a nice grill to it, and the toppings on it were plentiful. I've also had the tenderloin and chicken wings before- both equally as good. Would highly recommend anyone to try this place out!

I had a very well balanced Aviation, and took sips of my friends' brambles and old fashioneds. Perfect pre-meal sippers all around. We ordered the gamut, from the pickled beets to the pub burgers. Pretty much everything from the middle "shared plate and veggie" section. My wife and I split a super rich and tasty lamb bolognese. Again, the star of the show was the service and welcoming environment. It's just nice that they also performed on a stage of superbly prepared edibles. Would go again with a big group and maybe get a sitter so we're not leaving a trail of american cheese bits leaving an extra large tip to offset the accidental middle American Hansel and Gretel vibe.

We shared the whipped Ricotta appetizer with a honey jelly center and grilled bread. Delish! My crab cake bruschetta was delicious - the dots of lemon curd were a perfect accompaniment and the crab meat generously portioned. No leftovers this time, I ate it all, and it was perfectly portioned. Reservations recommended. Five stars from all of us!

It was fairly busy when we went on a Saturday mid afternoon. We were seated quickly. The atmosphere and decor reminds me quite a bit of Cheddars. When we sat down, there was some kind of an annoying and audible hum coming from the ceiling. It would randomly go on and off. Our server told us that it had to do with their sound/speaker system. The place had a fairly high noise level anyway, along with the music that they were playing. Our server was very friendly and helpful in navigating the menu and answering questions. She went above and beyond being highly attentive in keeping up with all of her tables. The food was above par and very good, quality and quantity wise. We tried a few chicken entrees and they were great. The fried mushrooms were super good. I noticed somebody in the Yelp reviews compared them to Chili's. My opinion is that there is no comparison. I went to Chili's recently and I think ACG is far better. Our experience was very pleasant, and I would definitely go again.

Last night our service was pretty decent, but the food was terrible. My husband ordered a cheeseburger and it was pretty dry and very boring. The bacon had been reheated numerous times and was tougher than jerky. I ordered the ribs. There were so many bone fragments in every bite. It was really ridiculous. It made it nearly impossible to eat. The button mushrooms had no flavor. The truffle fries were good flavor but I wasn't expecting the sauce to be so cold. It cooled the fries down almost immediately since it was smothered with cold sauce. My husband got a refill once on his soda, but I was never given a refill with my ice water. Our shrimp app was pretty decent in flavor but the breading was soggy. Likely from being under a heat lamp too long. Just feel like overall they really missed the mark. My hubs definitely won't be back. I'm willing to try again. Maybe it was just an off night?

However, the reason I would like to praise the First Watch Team at Greenwood, Indiana is their extraordinary kindness and caring. Just as we arrived in the First Watch parking lot, our car broke down and could not be restarted!! The server was so sweet to help us navigate ordering at the same time that we were speaking with AAA for towing assistance. After finishing our meal, it was evident that we were not going to get quick help from AAA, so we had to keep revisiting First Watch for the facilities, to buy a drink, etc. Every time, the staff inquired about how we were doing, offered us water, etc. When a tow truck finally arrived, our car ride had not yet arrived so we moved around to the porch of First Watch to seek shelter from the sun. We thought we would not be troubling the staff because they were officially closed. A young lady came out to clear away coffee urns and a few stray dishes, and even though the restaurant was closed, she asked so sweetly, "Do you need any drinks? Can I get you anything?" We are out-of-towners. If that were not the circumstance, the First Watch Team would get so tired of our family visiting because we would love to have such wonderful food, service, and surroundings, but most of all, we would love to visit a venue where everyone is so caring and considerate. THANK YOU First Watch!!

I ate the entire portion. My daughter ordered the turkey burger with a side of the tomato basil soup. Weird cause she hates tomatoes- but she ate the entire bowl. The pros are the friendly staff, the cool art on the walls (tons to look at!) and some creative menu options/deals like a weekday $13 lunch deal or $50 three course meal for 2. The downsides- we sat by the door and it was quite cold, I think it's because we were by the door/a drafty window but I noticed space heaters throughout the space. My husband and I both ordered the BLT and while it was good, it wasn't special- the Roma tomato were small coin-sized slices and the romaine lettuce was the yellow, small inside pieces. I thought this sandwich would be a lot better with a thick sweet tomato slice and leafy green lettuce. For some reason, the fries and breakfast potatoes were taking a long time to come out of the kitchen. Our server apologized, but they came out after the rest of the meal and I overheard a server telling the next table it would be at least 30 mins for another order to come out. When they came out, they were cold. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing (the breakfast plate that the folks next to us had looked good) but I left a bit disappointed in my meal. Overall good option to visit in the Garfield Park neighborhood and hopefully just caught them on an off day with the food!
