I was waiting to go here for a few weeks after seeing some local posts. I finally made it on a Saturday afternoon for brunch. There was a wait for about 10 mins but was totally worth it. While we waited I was going through the menu and had my heart set on the chicken and waffles and the crabs Benedict.. both dishes are an awesome pick.. but I would go with the chicken and waffles if I had to rank them against each other. Very crispy well flavored chicken and the strawberry butter just brought out the flavor in the dish and would practically go well on anything. Great service as well! The food is just okay...now. Metro used to have really great tasting dishes. Now everything tastes too greasy and salty. I wish they had stayed consistent with their food quality. The Metro T-shirt I bought to get discounted meals gets more wear around the house instead of at the diner. we went out to get ashes on ASH WEDNESDAY and wanted some breakfast. So, we noticed this diner on our way to church. On the way back we stopped. I am not one to wait for a table(NO restaurant is worth waiting for a table). So, I told me wife I am not waiting. BUT we were able to find two seats at the bar. They were cooking food right on the other side of the glass! The entire crew worked like a well-oiled machine. And to see the WHOPPING servings on every plate made my mouth water! Before we were even out of our coats a waitress came by and asked if we wanted coffee. She came back 2x to take our order but we hadn't decided. When we did decide and placed our order we sat and talked to the customers on both sides of us as we waited for the food and watched the crew machine working in complete unison on the other side of the glass. We both ordered the crab benedict dish and IT WAS HUGE serving. AND DELICIOUS!!! I have nothing to say about this place EXCEPT FOR 5 STAR compliments! The chef even has a GREAT name--Tim!!!! Incredible place! I've had the Monte Cristo (so sad it's not on the menu anymore), the Reuben, and the chicken salad sandwich. All 3 were absolutely delicious. Service has always been fast and very nice staff. Everything is super cheap too!! There are only 5 things on their extensive menu that are over $12. Ordered the pot roast several times and it was the best I ever had. However, I ordered today and it was probably the worst I've ever had! Not sure if they switched recipes or chefs, but will never order again. Had one carrot and a bunch of very large onions...so disappointed!!! Also , it was fatty and not near as tender as in the past. We love this diner. It's kid friendly and the food is excellent. My family has frequented this restaurant on a few occasions and have loved our food each time. This was my first time having breakfast in this restaurant. There was a 25 min wait but it was worth it. I had the Oscar Omelet (egg with crabmeat and asparagus...Delish!!! While visiting a friend on a Saturday, she suggested we have breakfast at this establishment-she visited here before and was pleased, she wanted me to experience the pleasant dining. We arrived around 940am it was crowded, bustling and busy. There was at least a 15 minute or more wait. However, we were warmly greeted by the staff. When we eventually got seated, our waiter was very attentive, suggestive and patient. Prices were a bit expensive approximately $15 each dish, but the food portions were pretty large and worth it. I ordered the chicken and waffles and was pleased. Friend, ordered the shrimp and grits and wasn't what she expected. She didn't like the shrimp and grits, mentioned it to our waiter. The waiter, with out skipping a beat or attitude, and pleasantly asked her, would she like any thing else on the menu? Friend-yes, chicken and waffles. Now, that's great customer service! That's rare nowadays. Food was tasty, service was excellent, manager walking around talking to everyone. Great job. We will definitely recommend this resturant to friends and family. read more

Came twice when it first opened figured it was growing pains , plus a good friend always encouraged us to come in and never wanted to go back . At the hospital this morning figured it would be better , well it was fast and and big pile of food. Lol, kinda like prison food! Hash brown nice on the outside , but raw potato on the inside , English muffin wasn't toasted no lore then 5 seconds , was cold and soft not not toasted. And butter was frozen, and too too it off the server saw the food sitting there and didn't ask or even refill the tea. Next year maybe they will have a better hiring person read more

My family and I (5 1/2 of us lol) ate there today and we were seated fairly quickly although they were crowded. I noticed that in addition to dine in there is a good amount of people who get takeout from them. To start, our waitress Tasha was thee BEST waitress ever. She was extremely nice, very attentive and overall pleasant. She made sure to mention that they also do catering (good to know). There are plenty of options for everyone on the menu. Our food was delicious. Definitely the best food I've had at a restaurant in a while, and I've been to a lot, both high and low end recently. The prices are affordable no matter what you order. I ordered the bissell breakfast and ended up getting the chicken pot pie to go because the food was just that good. Joe the owner came to the tables checking on guests to make sure everything was good. My family and I made sure to compliment him on the food and the excellent service we received from Tasha. Overall I would DEFINITELY recommend going here. You will not be disappointed. This place just became one of our favorite places to dine for weekend breakfast/brunch. Went there for lunch and the wait was over 30 minutes. We got seated and the waitress was amazing. Their thing seems to be mostly breakfast food but we ordered 3 different lunch items (pot pie, burger & fish and chips). Took at least 30 more minutes to get our order and even the waitress said she was starting to wonder where it was. The food was average nothing amazing. We have visited 6 times since they opened and raved about the food and service every time !!!!!! Servers are great, well worth a wait (at the busiest time we never waited more than 20 minutes) and we have tried something different each time. We will continue visiting and trying new items. The managers are fantastic and you can tell they love their jobs. All the employees also seem to love their jobs. The service was great and everyone that works their seems like a work family. Stopped in for the first time today with my wife and MIL. Pound cake French toast, eggs/sausage patties for myself, biscuits and sausage gravy for my wife, and crab Benedict for my mother in law. Sausage gravy was great EXCEPT it wasn't very hot. Pound cake French toast was good but kinda pricey for just 4 slices. Eggs Benedict was good, but no spinach in the spinach hollandaise. Overall it was good. Pricing IS a little high. Service was a little hit-or-miss. But we'll go back in to try other stuff. read more
