Never been before, but already planning our return visit. We sat at the counter and watched the team masterfully serve up amazing looking plate after plate. Food presentation was awesome. The manager attentively watched the pass through window making sure that everything got delivered quickly. Never did we see a plate sit long enough to drop temp. Love this place! Go hungry as their portions are large. The nice thing is that they offer half orders on most things. The chicken and waffles are off the chain! This restaurant is pretty pedestrian. The food was not what I would expect for what I paid for it. The service was pretty slow and my waitress really wasn't very friendly. Frankly, she came across as being really ghetto. Not what I like to spend money to go out and see. They have an open kitchen, which is pretty interesting, but probably the most interesting feature of the restaurant. Overall, I would not recommend the Metro. read more

We enjoyed our breakfast which included eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns and pancakes. The bacon was very greasy as were the hashbrowns. The service was exceptional as was the coffee. Next time I will get the sausage rather than the bacon. read more

Friendly and efficient staff. Food came out quickly and fresh. I love breakfast for dinner so I had the hash and eggs. Eggs were poached perfectly, the hash was a little spicier than I expected but not the canned stuff you get some places so I was happy. The BLT had crispy bacon and the waffles looked fantastic. I liked the food and my granddaughter loved the fried chicken. I gave them a three star rating as I had ordered the corned beef hash and what I got was a little scoop of hash and five pieces of bread and two small eggs. The eggs were ok but all that bread and very little meat was disappointing. What I did have was good but less bread and more meat would be better. My brother stopped here for dinner before and confirmed that the high ratings were well deserved. We went as a group and had one of the friendliest service staffs ever. Five stars for service and five stars for food. I didn't try anyone else's dish but the breakfast pie I ordered was on point. The description on the menu reminded me of a dish I always got back home in California at one of my favorite breakfast spots. Metro's version came pretty close. Had the Shrimp and Grits and OMG!!! The restaurant is conveniently located, small and quaint, staff was very nice. It was a hot day, and even though I didn't have to wait nor drink any, I thought it was cool that they had put out infused water and cups for their customers in case there was a wait. When inside, as mentioned, everyone was super nice, really cool and pretty quick too. Overall great experience and great food. read more

Had their Beef Pot pie for lunch today. KFC & Cheddar's have them beat when it come to pot pies. The crust was tough and the roast beef they used was tough too. The inside was mainly a flour based gravy with some beef and very little vegetables. Certainly not a good selection. read more

Definitely NOT worth 4 or 5 stars! Breakfast was typical and nothing stood out except when the people behind us were complaining about how the strawberry butter was wayyy too sweet. We had to was 10 minutes to place our 1st order of drinks, then waited another 5 minutes to remind our waitress (who totally forgot about our order)! Then, when our food came, my daughter's chicken was cold, my eggs looked like that powdery egg mix you see in buffet lines and she brought me flavored coffee (which I DID NOT REQUEST). We were sat and a server walked past us twice and didn't look at me or my daughter. Well worth the wait. I have been wanting to try Metro Diner for a while now. Thank goodness IHOP was too crowded this morning. Metro Diner was beyond my expectations. The wait was about 30 min. (a good sign when a restaurant is packed). The wait staff was very friendly and accommodating. Our meal.....the Bissell Breakfast was excellent. The portion sizes are worth every penny. They don't give you small bites. Most meals are easily shareable. I definitely recommend this place. 2 thumbs up. read more

This was my very first time visiting this restaurant and needless to say I will be returning very soon. When we arrived there was quite a wait, but once we were seated everything sent smooth. Our food came very quick and our waitress was very courteous and kind. I even told her she didn't have to kneel down to take our order she could have a seat. I order the chicken & waffles and my sister had the breakfast pie. Let me just say that hot sauce and syrup combination is awesome!! My sister enjoyed her meal as well. A new favorite of ours. I picked up my wife at the airport, and we went looking for a place for breakfast. Metro Diner came up in our online search. The place was busy, but only had to wait 10 minutes for a seat. Our server was very friendly, asking if it was our first time there, and told us about the specials on the chalkboard. We selected the country fried steak, and decided to split it, turned out to be a smart decision, as the portion was huge. My mom, sister, and I went out for a girls day at the Tanger Outlets today and we decided to grab a light lunch at the Metro Diner. I ordered the avocado toast (because I'm trendy) and it was AMAZING! It comes with tomatoes and eggs but our waitress recommended crumbling some of the bacon off my moms meal onto my goat and it was to die for! 10 our of 10 recommend for service and food quality!
