Just had dinner at metro dinner in Columbus ga.took about 15 minutes before we were even spoke to at door, standing there with my handicapped child in wheel chair.finally seated only 4 other tables full in entire resteraunt took about 10 minutes for server to come over and get drink orders took our drinks and food order took about 15 minutes to come back with drinks.got onion rings for appetizer took anout another 20 minutes to get them 7 onion rings and 4 of them were burnt. 5 minutes later came back with entrees for me and my son but didn't have my wife's .went back to check came back 15 minutes later and daid they were about to start hers that they had a lot of to go orders and just forgot to make hers , we told her never mind just cancel it my son and I were almost finished . Asked for check took about another 15 minutes to get it when she came back she had manager with her to try and make a half assed save and try and apologize. Told her how horrible everything was paid my check and left one of the worst dinning experiences i have ever had staff seemed to busy with to go orders to even make sure we even got our food horrible place horrible staff but I mostly blame management if you don't have staff enough to run your business then you shouldn't open the doors I'm gonna tell everyone that will listen what a horrible place this truly is read more

We just stopped by for breakfast, 11:00 Sunday morning, on our way through town and we were very pleased. We had to wait about 20-25 minutes for our table, not too long. Amber is a super sweet server and is very knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. She brought me a treasure chest full of delicious teas to choose from, and if you are a tea drinker, you will know how wonderful that is. My husband said his coffee was good too. Our breakfasts came out super quick and were hot, fresh, and yummy! We will definitely keep this on our short list for places to stop when traveling to/from HHI. This place is a nice spot. The staff is very friendly and it's got some decent chow. The breakfasts are very satisfying and large portioned. The sausage gravy they make is very flavorful. Went for breakfast on Saturday morning. The food took forever and the Order was never right. I had to send back part of it food was not done. The pancakes came as I was finishing my food toast never came. The server was too clingy coffee was not good. The first time I went they forgot to process our order and it is took over an hour to get our food. I don't think this is the place for us. Will not go back!!!! read more

The food was outstanding as our party had the chicken pot pie, philly cheese steak, turkey and their very large burger. Had a great dinner here on an overnight in the Savannah area. The service was very friendly and efficient. The menu is very creative and has a lot of home style items that you won't commonly find. This is a great place to stop off while traveling I95. It's located in the Tanger outlets so you can take a break from shopping and even enjoy beer and wine. They offer salads, sandwiches to comfort food. I had a chicken salad salad which was pretty good. Kids meals are $3.99 and some of them come with a nice size portion of fruit if you've had youre fill of fries. You can sit inside or outside on the patio which is cool even when it's a bit hot outside. I would definitely stop in again. read more

My husband and sister both had the salisbury steak with mashed potatoes and raved on how good it was. I had the fried chicken with waffles and the chicken was crispy just like I like it. I did not care of the sweet and spicy sauce for the chicken so I just used hot sauce. The waffles with the strawberry butter was very different but good. It did not take long for the food to come out and our server was a really nice young man. We were definitely pleased and will be returning in the future. read more

Really good menu, beautifully executed. The house made pastrami was shaved thin and the rye bread was fresh. What a wonderful sandwich. The onion rings are crunchy and have a nice onion inside. Worst service ever. Had to wait 20 mins to be seated. That is not a problem. We have waited at other places to get a seat. It went down hill from the time we were seated. There was a couple that came in after us and was waiting for a table that got seated at the same time right next to us and another couple came in after that got seated right away behind me. We waited forever for anyone to even ask what we wanted to drink. Then the last couple in, behind me, had their order taken before us. We were like...WTH...After waiting 1/2 hr a waitress said she would put our order in but wouldn't be waiting on us because she was trying to clock out. We sat there 40 mins and in that time the last couple in had already had their meal and was eating and the other couple next to us got their meal. We were still waiting.....??? Shrimp and grits was very good. Can't recall the name of the best dish we had- it was scrambled eggs, black beans, chorizo, etc on fried tortilla chips- one of the best dishes I have ever eaten. I was disappointed. We were there for almost 1 hour and 45 minutes for lunch for just 2 sandwiches and chicken tenders. One person received her fries after she was through with her sandwich. Came here with my lady for brunch on their first weekend open and was so impressed. They had a fried chicken eggs Benedict for their special and we both got it. The food was perfect! I will never visit again. Double charged me on my debit card. So I brought it to the cashiers attention, she told me the system went down. So she got her manager. This manager doesn't have a clue. I showed her my account online and showed her I was charged twice. She didnt have a clue on how to fix the situation. She just wanted me to call the owner. No I just want you to fix this. I am a restaurant manager. I would be ashamed if I couldnt help the customer. Worst experience ever. And tho my not coming back won't effect This business. The food isn't worth paying for it twice. And you had a building full of employees. But with a manager whose clueless. No wonder you got employees sitting around doing nothing. 5 sitting on the deck outside. Paying them to doing. Visited the diner for dinner tonight. I had the Eggs Benedict and home fries. My food was great. Our server was very helpful by making recommendations, prompt service, friendliness, and efficiency. The servings are large and the plates of those around me looked very good also. The only problem I saw was some disorganization in the kitchen and communication issues among staff members. New to the South, I have put off ordering shrimp and grits for two years. Sounds too much like a corn version of the Cream of Wheat cereal I hated as a kid. And always too expensive. But the description at Metro Diner sounded so delicious that I went for it. They have spoiled me for shrimp and grits forever. I cannot imagine anyone improving on their version. The grits came in a crispy cake--two islands anchored in the center of a large dish of shrimp and sausage in a cheese sauce well seasoned with peppers, scallions, and a few secrets from Eden. My waitress brought my check before I was finished (I lingered a long time over this lunch) but urged me "No hurry..." And as I was getting ready to leave, she offered to get me another ice tea to take with me. Flabbergasted, I accepted. Everyone around me was happy.
