I've been coming here 15 years and service was always pretty good. But my recent experiences have been bad. I bought new tires and they broke the Tire Pressure Monitor System sensor. They offered to fix it at no charge but they said the part was back ordered two weeks. It took them 6 months and I wound up having to call them every month or so even though they said they would call me (they never did). When I called them the last time they said that the part came in several days ago but they just "didn't have the chance to call me". They told me to come in the next day before 5 pm , but when I came at 4:30 the said all the technicians who could help me went home already, so I hade to con in again the next day. ESSENTIALLY TO FIX A PROBLEM THEY CAUSED TOOK 3 VISITS OVER 6 MONTHS. Based on this experience I would give ZERO stars. But I'm leaving 2 since I had good experiences years ago. read more

1 star is for sales. Service department is very helpful. Brought my car in for service today. Since my lease ends in a couple of months I asked a sales person about lease buyout options. He told me that Honda changed their policy in 2021 and no long accepts third party buyouts (partially true). So my only options are to either write a check to Honda Finance or finance the car through the dealership. He specifically said that even if I got an auto loan from my bank, Honda Finance would refuse their check because it's from a third party (totally false). Can you imagine if his statement is true?! The dealer would be able to charge whatever interest rate they want and I'd have no choice but to accept if I want to buyout the lease. Just to be sure I called Honda Finance shortly after and confirmed that I can INDEED buyout the car with a personal auto loan from any bank. Honda Finance only refuse to accept third party DEALER lease buyouts. Since this is a claimed business. I hope someone who actually cares about your business reputation reads this review and better train your sales people. read more

Save your time and do business elsewhere, I was pretty much forced to do a down payment after negotiating a car down to 36k with gap and extended warranty keep in mind that the msrp is 26k...... came home to realized that the downpayment is not going towards the principal so I'm basically giving the dealer 1500 that they insisted on calling a "downpayment" but really it's just money in their pocket that now I wasted. Please save your time and go somewhere else where they tell you straight up instead of trying to sneak around you and make there money. read more

Very disappointing experience. I have been a customer of Metro Acura for years in the past so I expected Metro Honda to be similar. I was very wrong. Quote online will be no where near the asking price on the vehicle. They've got insane mark ups for tech packages that will probably never be used in times where we have GPS on our phones (which supposedly cannot be removed from the vehicle). Sales personal was not knowledgeable about several different vehicles; also was not very professional. Took my business elsewhere and found a dealer that would negotiate with me and treat me with kindness. Be aware that the price advertised on the website is not the price they want to charge you. They added $3700 of "extras" to the price and would not budge off the price even $1. Not to mention that when I called, I talked to person 1, then arriving at dealer I talked to person 2, then person 3 took us for test drive, then we found out about the extra $3700 add-on that we really don't need, then person 4 came out to talk about the deal that he could not make. Really, 4 people to find out price is not negotiable and he price was $3700 more than the internet quote? Reliable when you need them the most! I had a great experience with Metro Honda. To give you a little back story... I had initially went to Penske Ontario Honda because I usually get my car serviced there. Any way today I had the most horrible experience there. I just got off a long night shift and my Engine Emissions light and low tire pressure lights come on. Now like a normal crazy person I pulled over and googled what this meant (which btw don't do that! You freak out more). Anyway I drove home super slow as I thought my car was going to die any minute. I checked for times Honda was open and decided to show up 20 min early so I could be seen. When I got there there were like 6 people ahead of me and we were all 20 min early. I waited patiently. Anyway, I told them what had happened and they ask ,"do you have an appointment?" I was like "I just told you these lights came on like an hour ago" - I couldn't make an appointment it literally just happened... They then told me "we can see you today because we have more than 100 appointments because of the holiday." I'm like "do you think I want to be here? I have plans with my family and I need to take my car" "I didn't ask for my engine light to come on" . This is emergent. I just need to know if I could at-least drive it tonight and I'll make an appointment and come a different day. They couldn't answer it and told to to visit a different place. The simple fact that they told me to go elsewhere made me very upset I started to cry. I left and decided to call Metro Honda which was another 14 miles away from Penske. I spoke with a service rep by the name of Moriah and she was super nice and understanding. She said she'd try to see if they could pencil em and and connected me with an advisor. Unfortunately the advisor was busy and I ended up leaving a message. I decided to go out on a whim and just drive there and shoot my shot. When I got there I told them the exact same thing and they had like 10 cars ahead of me. They also asked if I had an appointment but when I told them what had happened they said they would do what they could. Estela the advisor was super nice and helpful. I told her what had happened and she was very apologetic on Penskes behalf. I really appreciated the way Metro Honda took care of me. They saw that this was emergent and took it upon themselves to fit me in at-least for a diagnostic test. Estela informed me that I would probably need to leave my car until about 2 or 3pm and that she would continuously update me via text or call. She said hopefully they could fix the problem today but if not hopefully they could tell me what's wrong and let me know if it's okay to drive today and I could bring it in on the next open day. She also was kind enough to offer me a shuttle to my home. Estela was by far the sweetest person. She definitely is one of your biggest customer service assets. Because of her willingness to help and the manner in which she explained the services and how she went above and beyond is the sole reason I will now be servicing my car from now on at Metro Honda. It's actually more convenient because I just found out that Metro Honda is 3 miles closer to my home, which is a huge plus. Even though I'm disappointed with Penske Honda Ontario. Had that situation not happened I would not have had the wonderful experience I had at Metro Honda. Thank you for prioritizing your customers and their emergent needs. If you're looking for reliable service in the Chino/Ontario/ Montclair area and prefer a Honda dealership... I would 100% recommend Metro Honda. read more

Jimmy at the service department of Metro Honda is truly a gentleman who stands up for American virtue and spirit. The front camera of our 2020 Odyssey failed shortly after the expiration of the 35k miles warranty provided by Honda, which triggered tones of flashing warning signals including the brake system warning light on the dashboard. My wife was driving on the highway when this happened. Assuming that the brake was no longer working, she became very nervous and almost got involved in a car accident. When I brought the car to Metro Honda, Jimmy told me it's definitely not our fault to mess up with the camera and asked us to contact Honda service department for the camera replacement and calibration. The negotiation between us and Honda service department went on and forth for more than half a year without any acceptable agreement. The lady at the Honda service department who was handling our case was very rude and arrogant. She talked to me in such a cold voice as if I did something wrong and I should beg for her mercy! This is ridiculous and insane. I called the Honda service department many times and even asked them to give our case to a different staff. They agreed to reopen the case and assign the case to a different staff. But unfortunately, one day later the same lady called me and told me their decision was the same and I can feel free to sue them !!!! Jimmy stepped in after he knew what happened and eventually helped us resolve the issue. If you have to buy a Honda car, I strongly recommend Metro Honda just because they have employees like Jimmy, whom they should be proud of. read more

It's good to see dealerships rise above the auto industry, however little. Our purchase was a 2015 Certified Honda Accord Coupe (see pictures) for which we definitely paid retail money. But that's okay: it had all of 13K miles on it and it was effectively new. We purchased the car in the manner I suggest that everyone does: find the one you want and then go home and negotiate the deal via email. If cutting the absolute best deal is what you need to do, then that's how to proceed. While we were more after the specific car and were willing to pay for it, the stress was still lower nonetheless. You can generally avoid some of the slam purchases that this dealership - like all dealerships - will throw at you. Shout Outs: Arman the sales manager was friendly and worked the deal - something some dealerships won't do unless pushed. My appointment was for 11:30am, I arrived before that to check the car in by 11:27 and was told worst case 1:30PM my car would be ready. By 2pm my car still had not been worked on. I usually get Mark as an advisor (who is usually great and I've had no complaints coming here for months until today) today I got someone else, John....who didn't even seem to care enough to page anyone to ask a question for me. Check in process was fairly smooth. I was quoted an hour and half wait on the phone when making my appointment and when I checked in today I was told 2 and a half hours, because they overbooked appointments......people make appointments for a reason so that shouldn't be happening. They also offer a shuttle so I thought great I'll just use that to go somewhere in the mean time. It says they offer it Monday to Saturday until 4 pm every day but when I asked if it runs on a schedule or if they know when I'll get picked up there answer was "I don't really know it'll probably be a long while they just come and go no schedule". So predictably and planning is just not something the management team or advisors know how to do well around here and just plan to sit in their lobby for hours. When the shuttle finally did come I will say he was more than pleasant and professional which was great compared to the care (or lack of) that the service advisor gave me, But once I got in the shuttle that same advisor John tries to come pull him to drive someone else instead so I'm literally just sitting in the shuttle waiting to see if anyone is going to drive next. I also didn't get the usual Courtesy text i usually get from advisors in case I need to communicate during the process of my service. read more

I had a tune-up service appointment for my Honda Civic, and also asked them to change the wiper blades. When the car was ready (I had to ask if it was ready since it was nearly two hours), I learned that they didn't replace the blades. They needed to know from me if I also wanted new blade holders, but no one had asked me that when I was waiting in the dealership. Long story short, when I completed the email survey from Metro, I included that they were short-staffed that day, but disappointed in the customer service. Two days later I received a call from Metro Honda saying that they appreciate my patronage and will replace the blades, at no cost. I made an appointment, and had it taken care of. It's nice to know that surveys are read, taken seriously, and responded to in a positive way. read more

When we finally talked to a salesman, he was courteous in showing us cars we were interested in, yet right after the first test drive another salesman said he was going to take over and was extremely rude to both of us. He said "what's the deal here guys? What is stopping you from buying a car? Do not bring your car here for service. Had a horrible experience with them. Dropped off my car here in a towing truck. Service people are not helpful nor friendly. Jeffrey was the first person who immediately informed me he was not going to be back the next day like that was relevant. Then I met Mr. Robert Ames and he's a total jerk and lack human empathy. Everyone at service department failed to understand or return my calls. Their own calling center sent Mr Ames an urgent message yesterday and he disregarded. My car spend the night at the dealer. I called early this morning spoke with Carlos at the service department who informed was going to talk to Mr Ames and never heard from him. I emailed the general manager Mr Lee hopefully I will hear from him. I think that a lot can be done and restore this situation. They need people who are willing to help and work. Mr Ames needs to find himself another type of occupation. I jumped in an Uber and here at the dealer. Me Ames informed me that he attempted to call me (I have no missed calls). We were there window shopping for a car. And in comes my man, Yiwen, to show off this sweetass manual, 4-door, 2019 Civic Sport. I have to say, he definitely got a good read on me; knew the kinda car I was looking for; knew the kinda stuff I wanted. Was very upfront with his intentions, quite honest - was even willing to make some sacrifices on his end to make me walk away with a car. Yiwen actually did a good job of keeping my father and I there for awhile, trying to work with us. And normally, my father and I would lose patience and just find a reason to leave or storm off. But Yiwen? He's a straight-shooter; easy conversationalist; easy-going overall; knew his cars well. If money weren't the issue, I'd buy cars from him all the time. Unfortunately, that's not the case.
