Discovered MetroWest on IG upon realizing they are owned by the couple who recently launched PO5 in College Park. The energy that is exuded from their social media pages, makes you want to support! The food was freshly prepared upon ordering(kiosk) and worth the wait. We ordered 2 catfish & fries, and 1 catfish/shrimp and fries. I do wish you could select a different side, as I wanted to try the greens or mac n cheese. There is a sign that says no substitutions, so fries it was. The fries are your basic frozen variety. The catfish was freshly fried, and was tasty. Cold lemonade accompanied each box. The service is exceptional at MetroWest, as the owner takes pride in what his business brings to the community. On my saturday afternoon I chose to drive 20 minutes from the city out to College Park to patronize the establishment after seeing it on social media. When I walked in I was very disappointed to hear that they only had collard greens fried and onion rings as a side. No mac and cheese! No sweet potato soufflé ? 2 of the things you advertise the most? Blowed. I still got a 2 piece whiting and a salmon over rice. Well, after shaking off the initial disappointment I got to the food. The whiting was fried and seasoned well and there was a great portion. There was an abundance of tasty crinkle fries. A little too crunchy but it was good. The onion rings were also go The assuming baked salmon was very good. The salmon was cooked to perfection and not overcooked. The glaze was good as well. The yellow rice was also seasoned and cooked well although it could have been a tad more tender. The greens were super tender and seasoned well. The place is very clean and neat which I loved! The self service kiosk is what we used to order our food and it was a smooth process. Well until it was time to pay & I instantly turned remedial for some reason but the stars came from the back to make sure everything was smooth. I ordered their 2pc Whiting Fillet combo with fried coleslaw, hush puppies & a lemonade. The Fish is well seasoned (if you have a blood pressure problem I would probably reconsider) I really enjoyed it. They ran out of tartar sauce so I made some when I got home. The fries weren't very good to me but the hush puppies were. I also ordered the sweet potato soufflé and it was quite delicious. It didn't have the texture I anticipated but it didn't matter, the flavor it there. I ordered the bone in steak with yellow rice and 2 sides. First off, this is enough for 2 ppl, and they made the steak to my liking medium rare with the sautéed veggies. I ordered the Mac Cheesese & Collard Greensns. Everything was good. the service was fast I was literally in and out foreal. I'm so mad that I don't have pictures but this food is always good. I can only speak to the breakfast. Today I had a salmon omelet with spinach, onions and mushrooms with a side of catfish. They omelet was huge! You may be able to share with someone else. The omelet was cooked to perfection. The side of catfish was okay. The fish could have been fresher but we are in Atlanta. Previously, I have ordered the salmon and eggs with potatoes. This was good too. I wish I had the option to substitute the potatoes for grits. This may be an option if you order in store as I ordered from Uber Eats both times. Food does hold up for food delivery. When I received my food, it was still hot on both occasions. I will definitely order here again. The meals are a little on the pricier side as well. I've seen people say that they have paid $100 for two dinner plates. read more
