It is a cool concept. Fun to go check out. I have not been impressed with any Jason Dady restaurant lately. There are few restaurants and a bakery. I bought some goodies from the bakery which were nothing really impressive and I tried the mole flight. That looked so very interesting to try... waste of money! They might be great in a full cooked dish but so bitter and overwhelming and spicy not in a good way on their own. I think I saw they have a salsa flight too which might have been better to try on its own. I was planning to try to ceviche and I realized I might be disappointed too Don't get me wrong Jason Dady is such a nice chef! I have met him at many events. He is also such a nice person very humble and kind. Maybe I am more into real street food not the upscale kind in a street food setting I will definitely take friends and family to check it out when I have visitors and sample other dishes. I just wouldn't venture there on my own

Drinks & service outstanding. Selina was our waitress and she rocked! We got the combo fajitas and the meat was spot on, however the sides were meh. But to top it off, the skinny margarita was spot on! Good job Jason!

This is a really enjoyable new addition to the Riverwalk milieu. They have plenty of Mexican food fast casual options from ceviche and oysters to tacos, churros, pan dulce and much more. I liked the small displays scattered throughout of dry goods, moles, candies, chiles and other gift items easy to take back home. After a bad concha experience elsewhere earlier that day, I needed a good concha to erase that memory and the onsite panaderia, Dulce & Aroma, truly delivered. The mini vanilla concha was excellent - crisp and sweet outer shell with a soft and spongy interior, como debe de ser. However, the marranito could have packed more piloncillo and was a tad dry for my preference.

The newly renovated food court is awesome! We looked around and checked out menus and prices were on the higher side. They had some neat products and overall I guess we'll wait and see how it does. We did try the aguas frescas and they didn't have the flavor we wanted. We ended up picking a regular lemonade in the large cup. The larger cup was not a large and with tip was $9. Ridiculous...

A 12oz big red costs more than a carne guisada with cheese taco...crazy! Was it good? Yes of course, it's big red!

This is a great concept! They have multiple options in one space. We decided to dine at the sit down restaurant and loved it. The service was phenomenal.Alyssa took great care of us. Their margaritas are great. Food was great. Decor was great. Stop reading reviews and just get over there!

Was pleasantly surprised to find this place inside the San Antonio mall. The staff is really kind and very helpful. The food is where it slightly lacked. The tacos were a bit cold when we received them but the conchas were the bets I've ver had! Would definitely return just for the conchas

This is in the mall. The food was ok and not very hot. They were not welcoming and didn't even greet us when we got there. Also no explanation on what was on the food line. Some were rude and some going through the motions. They need customer service training.

Mexico Ceaty is very beautiful, aesthetically. However, the food was beyond disappointing. We ordered tacos and watched the server grab 2 blobs of lard, it didn't fully heat up and he dipped the small tortillas for 3seconds and took them out. They weren't hot or cooked at all. They were cold and hard when we ate the tacos. You could visibly tell and taste that the meat had been sitting there since earlier. It wasn't warm or hot either and he was scraping the metal container to get enough for a taco. My brother ordered aguachile and it tasted nothing like aguachile. The octopus in the ceviche was hard and chewy. Overall, a very disappointing visit. Service was ok, we asked the other server for something from the toppings bar and she said she didn't understand Spanish... smh. If I return it will most likely be to try the bakery but I don't have high hopes. It was surprisingly empty for being the weekend, so ambiance was kind of dim, not very lively.

Okay I love that they put this place as a local just gives us more places to visit and bring in tourism. I know they just opened so I'm going to assume they're just figuring out the kinks. My 4 star is just bc it's new and local, pretty cool concept. Should be a 3 star. The food I went to the burritos and bowls and just being honest chipotle is better. The rice lacked everything. The best thing I had was the red salsa. the aguas frescas best thing we tried. Took 15 min for a margarita on the rocks that lacked and it wasn't super busy for that type of service. Again this is new so maybe we just need to let them get in the groove and hopefully service and food gets better.

When we decided to go to this restaurant, it was the first night of their soft opening during Fiesta and we were headed to the River Parade. They had signs up saying be patient since their staff was still learning. So this is what became of the space that used to be River Center Mall food court. Once inside, it was clear they made great use of the space. We even spotted Jason Dady (the guy behind it all) a couple of times. We opted for the street tacos made how we wanted them and they were absolutely delicious. It was clear that some of the workers were still learning, but we got great customer service. During our meal, the river parade was cancelled, so we decide to just have some after dinner drinks and relax while traffic died down. At least one of the higher ups came over to talk to us and see how we were liking things so far. He gave us a little information on the hopes they have for the restaurant. It's a festive spot but the food is a little pricey.

Well. We were there about 3 days after the opening, but we already had plans to go to Ruth's Chris. We had a margarita and shared an order of chips and salsa. We saw an order of nachos and flautas being shared by a couple next to us, and decided we'd be back and have that. We are in SAT very often in business. So we went back y'day (and brought another colleague with). We went to the "Cantina" where the sign says wait to be seated. No employee around, so we took seats at the bar. The bartender informed us that his bar back wasn't there so he didn't have any Diet Coke for our non drinker. I asked about the nachos bc they were no longer on the menu - he said they were gone. Not available, taken off the menu. We didn't want the other Cantina offerings so we went to the SATX Mex area. There was one other occupied table. We were seated. Ordered drinks (very good margaritas) and had to request chips and salsa. Ordered mediocre quesadillas, okay picadillo tacos, and flautas. We won't be back. The service was okay, but we had to flag down the server 2x. There were 4 employees at the bar who were very involved in conversation with each other, including someone who resembled a manager. The market area is festive and pretty, and the entire place is spotless. But it lacked what we were after, and taking nachos off a bar menu isn't a good idea. Good luck!

Taste it before you add anything to it. I also recommend trying the small conchas-they came out warm and ready to eat! I decided to stay in the city longer to check out this place. This restaurant is huge and the wait was 45 minutes on a Sunday afternoon. We used our waiting time to stroll through the Mercado across the way. Once the table was ready, my friend got a text. I always wanted to try menudo every Mexican restaurant I go to. But not until I saw the sign on the back cover. This restaurant is under the same owner as Pico de Gallo. Omg. I just had their menudo the day before. No thanks. I decided to order fajita chicken salad. The portion was really small. The food only filled a half of the fried salad bowl. I asked to put cheese on the side. It may had it look more but I don't eat cheese as much. I was glad that dressing was on the side. Which was too salty for me. So, if the food was the same as other chain, we could have eaten there which was closer to the hotel. But I noticed the difference was the servers. Our waitress was cuter and very polite. Also had a side order of fresh handmade tortillas. Paloma to wash it all down. Everything tasted great. My server was excellent. Patient and helpful with recommendations. The mariachi band was fun and they roamed the restaurant and bar to play, so chances are that if they aren't singing at your table then they're nearby.

We decided to try several appetizers to go along with our concha to get a wider taste of their food than we would by just ordering a couple entrees. Let me tell you, this was a great idea! We ordered the Tosti-Ceviche Verde, Panela Asado, Mexican Street Corn, and their Spicy Bean Dip. The Ceviche Verde was excellent, the freshness of the fish and shrimp was wonderful with the chipotle mayo and avocado. Their tortillas though not made in house, are made for them and taste like mom made them. The Mexican Street Corn was great and had the perfect bit of char taste from the corn. It was creamy and flavorful, we did think it could use just a tad more lime juice though. The Spicy Bean Dip was very good. You can't go wrong with Oaxaca, Chorizo, and pieces of pork mixed with some mildly spicy beans. Our server was fantastic.
