I guess I should have read the reviews prior to buying the Living Social deal for carpet cleaning from this "company". First, the appointment was set for 4 p.m. They call at 2:00 p.m. stating "we are at your house". When I explained to the person the appointment was set for 4 p.m. I received an argument. Not a good start. Second, they do show up on the rescheduled date. As the service was supposed to be for 3 rooms and a hallway. When we showed them the 3 rooms, they then responded it is limited to 600 square feet. Assuming that the 3 rooms were in excess of 600 square feet (which I strongly disagree with using basic math), I then informed them to do two rooms or whatever equated to 600 square feet. Then they came up with a new obstacle claiming that the 600 square feet had to be in "one area", whatever the heck that means. The response was "like an apartment where the rooms are next to each other". Why that makes a difference is beyond my comprehension as 600 square feet is 600 square feet. Also, who has a house with every carpeted room perfectly adjoining each other? Third, and the best of all this "limitation" was never mentioned in any of the fine print of thye Living Social Voucher! Then to top it all off, when confronted with their made up requirements and idiosy, they went outside and said they would have their boss call me. Big surprise, no call and they just took off having cleaned not one inch of carpet. So I called the "boss" and was greeted with argument, hostility, false representations, etc. One has to ask, how does a company like this stay in business? Well, I will seek amends through Living Social and if necessary, sue this "company". If I can stop one person from being subjected to this company, that will be reward in and of itself. I can see that the universe of comments feel the same away. Please STAY AWAY from this shady company and find a reputable, customer friendly company that actually wants to provide and perform its services. read more

Very very impressed. I cleaned carpet for a few years in college, and I thought I was really good. However, this guy made me realised that I was just as good as a carpet cleaner could get based on the carpet cleaning technology available in the market. Which means that any other decent service provider could match my service level if they put the same effort as I did and had the same equipment as I had. However, mexstream is different. He got available technology to clean carpet and mechanically modified and enhanced it to make it better than anything you can find straight out of a factory. Therefore, no other service provider with a machine straight from factory will be able to bit quality of level of mexstrem. Plus, the guy (I believe he was the owner Mex) is really cool and friendly. Super reasonable, communicates super well and has with great attitude. I had him to cleaning my condo. He used the mechanically enhanced portable machine. Specially, If you have a condo, and cannot have the hose attached a truck to clean your carpet (sometimes the hose are not long enough to reach your condo from the truck), then a portable machine is needed for the service. If this is the case, then no need to search for other options. This is the guy for you. Even his price was as good as the other service providers I contacted. I had a great experience with California Steemers. I received an 8x11' wool rug as a hand me down from a friend that REALLY needed a deep cleaning! ( I doubt the rug was ever cleaned before...and smelled like her dog) Around the same time I found an amazing couch off Craig's List that was from the late 60s (had to have this cleaned for sure). I found California Steemers online, and gave them a call. I left a voice mail, and was called back in the same day. We talked about the rug I wanted cleaned and set up a time for them to come pick it up (they came that evening)! I was told the rug would take about a week so we planned for them to clean my couch and another small wool area rug on the same day they returned my big rug. I have to say, everyone I talked with was great...My couch is so clean, brighter...the small area rug looks like new again...The men doing the work were very professional, and friendly. They didn't make any messes and weren't bothered by my barking dog (who I had in the other room) My large rug turned out amazing as well...you never would have know it was the same rug...its super clean, completely free of any old doggy odors! And I have to mention, for all the hard work they did their prices are very fair! I would call California Steemers again for sure, and recommend them to friends! read more

Plus I live outside the 20 miles range from their office but they said its ok they won't charge any extra travel fee.. I originally found them as a living social coupon but found their good rate was already posted as a deal on their web page. I used them because of their good price and they also could fit me in quickly. We cleaned 5 bedrooms, a hallway and stairs. We have light tan carpet along with several children and a dog. We were in need of clean carpet again. I found their service to be just what we needed. We are loving our fluffy, clean carpet. My husband and children have all commented that they love it, too. I had California steamer clean my carpet and I have to say they did very good job! I got a deal for $99 whole house carpet cleaning my carpet was pretty dirty I had to add $29 for spots treatment I think it's a very decent price to compare to other companies that ask $200 for the same service! Im glad i didn't look at yelp and I fond understand the bad reviews I think people don't realize that when the buy a voucher from Livingsocial for $59 it's going to be enough for everything they need to get done they wrong! read more

His pricing was great and we expanded the job from just the "great room" to a complete 2300 sq.ft. condo. We asked if he did upholstery and he does, we added the living room sofa.
