When I drive past the CAVA to get to Mezeh you know I truly enjoy the food! The customer service is also excellent! Today I had the kids salad because I wasn't that hungry but need to grab a bite for lunch!!My last visit wasn't the best but this visit everything was excellent!! The kale was perfect and the brown rice was cooked correctly! The spicy chicken was delicious and all the toppings were freshly made! Healthy and delicious is what I call Mezeh! I love Mezeh! I love the concept of fast fine dining or semi fine dining! I was soo excited when they announced Mezeh was coming to the Bowie Town Center! It only took FOREVER to open! I usually go to Cava near work so I was soo excited for this place to open! It's very nicely designed inside and the workers are awesome! The options for your meal are labeled and are was to see! Well, im a little disappointed. I feel the price is on the high side. They modeled this after chipotle but the price is almost double at almost $12 with meat! $11.93 to be exact. No drink and no sides. It's a bigger turn off because i felt they tried to squeeze the extra $1.50 for the kefta (meatball thingy) which is not clear on the menu. Oh, the menu says $9.75 (already a price increase from a few months ago!) And then lists all these ingredients afterwards. Base, proteins, sauces etc. Which most ppl would think is included in the bowl like chipotle. NOOOOO, It's not! The 4 pcs of little meatball thing is extra! And of course that woman didnt mention anything either. I suspect its the same woman other reviews have complained about? So the bowl with little meat was almost $12. No sides, no drinks. A burrito bowl would have been around $7. I didnt mind spending extra $2-3 for different ingredients. But i was really turned off by how they successfully squeezed me more money. So let me start by saying I LOVE MEZEH! I typically patronize the one in Annapolis Mall as for me that was the closest one until the gem opened right in my back yard. I went twice last week but sadly have to admit the service and portions are nothing like Annapolis. You are charged for every little thing and I do mean everything. I requested my hummus on the side in a cup versus in my bowl and was told that will be $1.50. The portions are much smaller than the Annapolis location and the service is not as pleasant. I've also ordered Baklava the last two times I've ordered. Both times they left the Baklava off my order. Nice options...falafel, Israeli couscous, hummus, tahini, and that other sauce I try to say really fast so no one judges my pronunciation. Before I went into the hospital, Mezeh was not there, just signage. Until that point, I'd never heard of it. When I got out of the hospital, it was in full swing. Since I'd obviously never tried it and mobility was a problem, I thought I'd give it a try. I WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED!! Talk about delicious, healthier options, Mezeh is the place. Had to be in Bowie this afternoon so decided to try Mezeh. I love Mediterranean food and have eaten in many Mediterranean restaurants including the 2 I think are most similar to Mezeh, Roti and Cava. Both of these other restaurants are very good but my lunch at Mezeh was outstanding. I had the bowl with Arugula, white rice, schwarma chicken, many of the other salad/veg/hummus options and I used the cilantro vinaigrette with some harissa. This bowl was wonderfully flavorful and fresh. The chicken was moist (cant stand dry chicken), the arugula and rice were a nice base for everything and the salads/veg/hummos were delicious. I loved the cilantro hummus and the babaghanoush!!! Oh and the crispy chickpeas were amazing in the salad. The bowl was extremely filling and quite healthy. It also comes with a 1/2 pita which was OK, a bit on the dry side... would have loved a warm, soft pita. But I loved my bowl and am looking forward to going back! Sorry no photo as I was hungry and couldnt wait to dig in. The employees in the store were nice and were masked. There were a few people who chose to eat in the restaurant but were quite far apart. read more

I gave it 4 stars just for the simple fact that I'm a picky eater and can't see myself eating it all the time. Other than that I HIGHLY recommend you try it. Food is good - however customer service is not, and I have never been more disgusted with a restaurant. On August 25th, I ordered and paid for 2 salads to be delivered thru their website. The salads were never delivered, I was charged, store refused to remake salads after vendor Mezah turned order over to - cancelled order, and they have yet to refund my $25.99 for the 2 salads. I have called, emailed, texted - and nothing - it's always getting processed. I recently spoke with an owner - and nothing. I finally had to contest the order with my credit card. So beware of ordering delivery thru their website. I am the customer - who paid and never received what I paid for - and was not refunded! read more

I ordered a bowl last week (Oh, the options!), then came back on the weekend to order just some sides and pita. I went to Italy in 2004 or 2005 - Rome and Naples - and had a sandwich I have been chasing ever since. It was a simple roasted/charred eggplant on flatbread. I don't even recall it being dressed with anything, but it was the best, most memorable sandwich I've ever had. Can't remember the shop; somewhere we ducked into in the middle of our sightseeing. Probably some fountain. Of course I tried to recreate it once I came home; I could not. Last week, when I tucked some of the eggplant from my Mezeh bowl into a piece of pita, memories of that great sandwich flooded back. So a couple of days later I ordered pita, eggplant, hummus and that delicious, smoky baba ghanoush.
