Updated Review. February 24, 2026. The portions have really changed for the worst. A parrillada dish is now half of what it used to be. As a family of four, we'd order the full size and eat comfortably. Now, two can only eat. The parrillada for one, is literally just for one, but before 2 of us would eat and we'd still bring some home. Prices of skyrocketed, understanding with the economy we're in.

I left this restaurant overly stuffed! The restaurant was beautifully decorated, it definitely had a "Cancun, Mexico feel" like you are at a party. The music was loud but you could still hear the people at your table talking which was a plus. The service was very different. Instead of have just 1 waiter we had 5 of them which was unique, we never had to wait for someone to come to us which was awesome. The food was amazing. It didn't look like a lot of food at first but when we got done eating, our stomachs were tight! We also had dessert which was really good. I will definitely be coming back again!

Horrible dry cleaning service. They damaged my shirt and don't even care to do anything about it. I spend $100 to buy another shirt so they really don't care about . I am going to take the owner to small claim court to get my money back. They should not be in this business, and the customers should not even go and use their service .

When you think of a Mexican chain, you probably think of a restaurant where you order one of those big piping hot combination platters with the world's largest plate, loaded with some mix of burritos, enchiladas, tacos, etc. The food itself is average, the service is quick and the portions are large, it is just alright but enjoyable. Mi Cancun is not your ordinary Mexican chain restaurant. The atmosphere is lively, service is attentive, decor is cozy and the food is elevated. They start you off with their unlimited chips and salsa. I've had bad chips quite a few times in recent memory at Mexican restaurants, but these are enjoyable. I blink and sudden I am getting a refill. The waiters do a great job going around, making sure you are taken care of. Others push a guacamole cart as a potential appetizer. The service here is good and friendly! There are so many different options at Mi Cancun, they have a huge menu. They have the aforementioned combination platters, but you can also order grilled meats, seafoods, individual tacos and other specialties. I'm a pretty big ACP (arroz con pollo) guy and Mi Cancun puts a neat twist on theirs. Instead of old overcooked rice and overly thick cheese, their ACP is always really fresh with smaller strips of delicious and seasoned chicken, warm cheese and even spicy peppers. The peppers add good flavor and kick, also some vegetables! Every other item I've had here is pretty great as well. They are a Mexican restaurant that has a designated vegetarian section, so I've had some of those and they're good alternatives! It is not just, "let's cram as much frozen veggies into a tortilla." Their diablo shrimp are also good and they recently added beef tongue (lengua) tortas to the menu. This might be my new favorite item, the lengua is so tender and flavorful. Mi Cancun is one of the few places in the area that is busy every night, and for good reason! The food is great and you are taken care of when you're there. This Morrisville location I believe is the original, and they do a fantastic job at upholding this chain's reputation.

Gosh, Mi Cancun is my favorite Mexican restaurant in the area! They have multiple locations, and I usually go to the Grace Park location, but I've been to a few others as well, and the food and service are always super consistent. Once you place your order, the food comes out within minutes, hot and fresh every time. The locations I've been to are spacious, and I love the fun theme of each restaurant. Highly recommend if you haven't tried it yet!

I arrived at 8:40pm on a Friday evening just to have a drink or two following dinner. The parking lot was jam packed! There are multiple establishments in the area. Upon walking up, I could tell this place was a vibe. My date has been here multiple times and this is one of their favorite spots. It started raining so we opted to sit inside. Outdoor seating area gives beach and fun vibes, which I'm sure is great during warm weather. Inside, they have a presentation table with drink and food options. We sat at the bar. We were given a drink menu with many options along with chips and salsa. One interesting thing I saw on the drink menu was a 10 shot tequila shot! Price varies on what tequila you choose. I can't remember what tequila the bartender told me but he said it would be $140, wow! I ordered a fresh organic blueberry margarita and date ordered a mango margarita. The margarita was strong and delicious, omg. It was $18 and worth every drop! It tasted like two drinks in one and I tasted the fresh blueberry pieces. The daily special for Friday was a regular margarita. I planned to get it next but didn't since the first one was strong and delicious. Staff was friendly and just good vibes all around. I recommend and plan to return!

Had the best time here - we got hungry early and were able to get a parking spot and walked in to eat with no wait. They had a valet since the parking is abysmal there - when we left we noticed they had a valet set up. We went on a Saturday so I'm not sure about Fridays. When my husband noticed that his tortillas they brought were relatively hard (due to being in the warmer for a long time, probably) one of the managers(? I'm assuming) saw him picking off the crusty pieces, he went and left. I told Reese to wait a second before trying to make it up since I saw the manager leave over his shoulder. Without us having to say anything, the manager had gone to grab fresh warm tortillas. Honestly I have never seen such great service in chain restaurants and with how great their food is as well, we will be lifelong customers here. Highly recommend for a casual fun night out. Side note- also very family friendly. We saw them bring out a cake (guessing brought in from the family) for an elder man for his birthday with candles and it was just the sweetest. read more

Great service and food! Price point was fair as well. Note: If sitting at the bar don't sit on the far end where the wait staff goes in and out if that bothers you. There is a lot of movement and it's busy, but I was in front of my own TV and since I was solo....well, u take the good with the bad ! read more

Consistent great service and good food. Even when ordering and waiting for takeout they treat you like a friend. While waiting for the order I had just placed, I thought I'd enjoy some horchata. Food excellent, but the music was so loud I could not think or have a conversation with the other people at my table. Request to turn down the volume was ignored by the host working the front desk. My iWatch measured the music levels as high as 88dB while we were having lunch. I came to eat not dance. read more

Worst Mexican food ever..manager is so rude and bad, you will never visit the place again. Order some Cali burrito to go, he was rude when I went in to pick up and then food was smelling so bad. I realized it when I reached home and opened the box. One of my friend also got food poisoning from their food. Worst unhygienic place ever. Save yourself from hospital visits. Went on a whim to MC on a stormy weekday after canceling our reservation in Clayton. I have driven by MC countless times, received countless mailings from them, and never stopped in for lunch or dinner. It is located in a trendy Morrisville plaza at the Davis drive-Morrisville parkway interchange and parking is limited. Nice outdoor area flanking both sides of restaurant for patio seating. Also, it has the 2nd largest adirondack chair in NC (Largest in High point) for kodak moments. Booth seating is provided, (hold your breath squeezing in) and there is a medium sized bar that adds to the festive atmosphere. Our server, Rafael, was very friendly, patient and attentive. Menu is standard fare with many options. We ordered: Cancun dip-queso and hamburger-Bland. Beef combo-1Taco, 1 burrito, and 1 other. Disappointing. small and also bland. Chicken and spinach. Good. Although the service was good our food missed the mark. Sad because I really wanted to add MC to our rotation read more

I loved this place! It's super cute in the inside. The drinkssss are where the fun is. They do require mask for all guests although I did have to ask for another table because the one they assigned us was too close to the other guest. I usually get arroz con pollo but decided on something different since they have a lot on the menu. The food came out fast and hot and we dug right in. Surprisingly, I loved the refried beans! That was my favorite thing about this place. Their beans were seasoned! No where else seasons their beans and that's why I never eat them. It was a good time there. I will be back for the beans and Margaritas! read more

While the food was good enough, the servings were small and the music was extremely loud. We asked if they might turn down the music just enough that we could talk without shouting. Mi Cancun has a classic Mexican upbeat vibe with vibrant decor. I have visited here two times, both on Saturdays and the place is always packed. If you are a vegetarian there are plenty of options on the menu. They will also customize it if needed. Guacamole dip was freshly made in front of us and was perfect on taste. We ordered pineapple shrimp fajitas made to veggies and enchiladas. Both dishes were delicious. The tres leches cake was okay, definite scope for improvement given you expect better at a Mexican place! read more

I'm.not sure why this restaurant has such high ratings. The food is not good. I was very disappointed on my first visit but gave it a second chance, only to be further disappointed by the food preparation. The shrimp dish I had during my first visit was very salty. The chicken on the dish I had during my second visit was way overcooked. My wife was equally disappointed with her meals. I do have to say that the margarita was excellent. Maybe the ratings are reflecting the drinks? read more

We started with the queso dip which was nice, then for entrees... My son got a chicken and cheese quesadilla and literally no side or garnishes. My mom got that soup dish in the photo and she actually didn't want it and the server and manager both said we couldn't change it. Manager literally interrogated us as to why we didn't want it. How about because IT'S NOT WHAT WE ORDERED!!! @$$H0Le. I ordered the quesabirria and it was sub par from most other Mexican places I've had it. The tortilla in this dish is supposed to be crispy and have a little crunch. This one was as soggy as a used tea bag and barely any meat in between. The consommé was so thick. The elote was ok though. As far as ambiance there was a weird sewer like smell inside. Not a fan. Honestly, I don't think I'll be coming back to this location anymore. Haven't tried the others but, I'll give them a shot and see if this theme is consistent. This location has been 86'ed. read more

My husband and I grabbed some dinner at the Morrisville location last night. Service was excellent and food was out quick. We really enjoyed our drinks (got the Virgin pina colada and Virgin monitor). The salsa was really good as well. All of that made us pretty excited for the food, but we were less than impressed. I got the shrimp fajitas, and he got the Cancun burrito. We thought the food was mostly bland. It was like eating a bunch of grilled shrimp and steamed veggies in tortillas. Excellent food and service. The guacamole is made fresh at your table and is delicious. The shrimp fajitas are great and plentiful. The chips and salsa are replenished as often as you want. And then salsa has the right amount to heat. Prices are fair considering the quality and quantity. read more

This is officially our Mexican restaurant!! The family went there last night to eat dinner and celebrate a milestone- perfect choice! I knew off the bat that momma needed a margarita and it was delicious top shelf and the best price. We decided to get guacamole (because of course),, which they made table side...my son practically ate the whole thing!! Dinner was great and everyone ate everything. Unlike other restaurants, they filled your plate with great food, not an excess of blah Mexican food. Our server Esteban was funny, attentive, and egged my son on when he wanted to eat all the jalapenos (plus gave him some milk for the aftermath!) We topped it off with dessert (tres leche) and we left filled to the rim. We will definitely be back!!! read more

We were sat at a table very quickly. Service was very good. They never let the chip tray go empty or let us have empty drinks. The Live Guacamole is definitely recommended. It was fresh and very delicious. The food arrived on time and gave us enough time to enjoy the guacamole and chips. I had the chicken fajitas and they were among the top 10 I have ever had. My wife had the steak burrito which was exquisite. My son had the grilled chicken tacos which were delicious and my daughter had the pollo chipotle which was cooked to perfection. The music and atmosphere were very good and the Latin rhythm made you want to get up and dance. Overall this is a great place is your in town and want Mexican food. read more

Decided to try this Mexican place out since it was one of the higher reviewed Mexican places around. I went on a Tuesday with some friends in hope of a good taco Tuesday margarita special, though there really wasn't much of a special at all for the margaritas on a Tuesday, I believe their special was more on a Saturday which then it was $5 I wanna say for any margarita. Next time il be sure to go on a Saturday. I ordered the enchiladas of each kind they had, they were good. I wouldn't say they were great, but they were good. The service was great though, and the pricing was so so for what you get. Most Mexican places Iv been are typically on the cheaper side and this one seemed to be a little pricy. But I would come back to try something different next time. read more

Good food, service, prices (especially for lunch), and portions! I've come here a couple of times now. The latest time, I got the Steak Fajita (beef, bell peppers, onions, tomato. On the side- guacamole salad, re-fried beans, sour cream and tortillas) for only $7.55. It was soo good and came out sizzling hot! I also really enjoy the hot salsa here, nice and spicy. read more

Best part about lunch at this place? I had my food within 10 minutes of sitting down. Granted I come at a bit after regular lunch rush, around 1pm. Menu- immediately. Beer- immediately. Chips (warm) and salsa (mild) - immediately. Food was FAST. They have a Vamonos lunch special for 5.99 and all draft beers on Wednesday are 1.99 ... and their happy hour is KILLER. Impromptu lunch today with a couple of my team members! Our original destination was closed and though I was not in the mood for Mexican I agreed to come here because I know it's cheap. Food: As a vegetarian I don't care to eat Mexican. All the veg dishes taste the same to me and I'm not the biggest fan of what I got - the green burrito. I want to say it's the sauce that throws me off. It's missing something - maybe a sweetness or tanginess? But you definitely get big portions for the price during lunch! And my coworkers who got the chicken and shrimp fajitas seemed pleased with their choices so maybe for the carnivores this is the place to go. Atmosphere: Casual and colorful and we got a booth which I always love. Just wish they had a napkin holder at the table. Service: Great service and good food delivery time. Our waiter was good about filling our chips bowl without us asking and gave all three of us our own bowls of salsa for the complementary chips. Parking in this area (Grace Park) can be frustrating during lunch but there is a lot for all the different restaurants and shops here even if you might have to drive around for a bit. read more

We thought the food was really good but the attitude of our server was less than desirable. He did not offer any details to the dishes we ordered, didn't say a word when we made comments and when asked for the bill, took our payment and left! The other staff also had unfriendly, sad faces, and I couldn't understand it. We are good patrons and tip well. I felt after this experience that I would not be back. read more

Pairing with the yogurt made it taste a lot better though. Service was friendly and the prices were reasonable. It was a bit noisy inside, just because there were a lot of customers and everyone was talking. The store is clean and bright with a neat little riser on one side. My only complaint was that there were no refills. That's unusual for black, drip coffee.

When the girl came from morning ritual She brought out my husbands, hot cappuccino but my mocha out iced and I immediately said I don't drink cold coffee and I did an order iced. Instead of being apologetic, and stating that she would change it, she just snatched the iced coffee and walked away. That was such a strange encounter. It was rude and I got no apology, nor did I get any explanation of what would happen next. I let my server know to ensure I was still going to get a coffee because I can't live without my coffee in the morning! When my Moca loved her honey, oat milk, coffee came I took a sip and was glad i didn't flip out and say "forget the coffee" (as I was already done with breakfast by the time in arrived) because the drink was delicious! If I'm ever back in the area (I was staying in Raleigh but decided to take a little detour into Durham that morning) I'll come to only Morning Ritual to see if I can change this 3 star review for service issues into a 5. For now they need to work on getting coffee service to The Goat streamlined!

I sat at a table for a few minutes to browse them. I decided on a hot Hazelnut Brown Sugar Latte and a slice of Banana Bread. Both sooo good!! My first sip of my latte and I was so happy. I'm sorry I didn't take a picture because the same dish on Sunday was so elaborate and beautifully presented and the same order today was just meh. Not a good value for the price. I will say the server correcting someone else's mistake was clearly overwhelmed but doing her best. She was also the cockroach killer. I ate my lunch and read my book. My intention had been to linger a while and read but I decided to leave. The place was about 1/4 full when I left but all the tables still had crumbs, food debris and water on them made it too unpleasant to stick around. Very disappointing. I don't see myself going back any time soon. I do love their bread but I'm sure I can find someplace more pleasant or go to the downtown location instead.

We live in Morrisville and have been waiting on a good Mexican restaurant since Café Capistrano closed a while ago - we've tried Los Rancheritos and Sol Azteca many times, hoping it would be a close comparison...only to be disappointed time and again. We've anxiously awaited the opening of Mi Cancun for the past several months and the wait was well worth it. My family and I visited for dinner tonight and with 3 kids under 5, it's normally a tough task to dine out. However, the atmosphere (NFL Playoffs on the big screen/projection screen) kept our children entertained and the food was incredible. The value was even better....great drink specials, including $2.99 Sangria and $1.88 queso dip (wow!). I had (grilled) chicken burritos and my wife enjoyed a sampler for one, which my normally picky 4 and 2 year old indulged in with delight.\ The service was also great - multiple visits by our waiter (Juan Carlos?), as well as, other members of the wait staff and management team...all to ensure everything was to our satisfaction and enjoyment. The service was really bad. We asked "what's the difference between the blue and regular margarita?" - "The color." Ordered one of each, on the rocks with salt - no salt was there. Completely different flavors! Then we had to flag her down to order, flag her down for refills, flag her down for the bill, flag her down to take the bill. She never said goodbye or thanks - she just walked away. On the way out the door the host looked up at us then back down at his station without a word. And, no, we weren't being rude and getting the cold shoulder. The food: mediocre. The salsa tasted weird... we think they roasted one of the ingredients? Couldn't eat it. My green burrito needed... anything. It was bland. And the salsa couldn't help me out here. The location is great, the atmosphere is fun, but their prices and service don't result in "authentic Mexican" on the table. I'll hesitantly return with the groupon I have to use up. I've been to this restaurant twice, and the last time (a few days ago) was nothing to rave about. I ordered a grilled veggie quesadilla, and there was almost no cheese in it. I love veggies, but some sort of balance between the cheese and veggies is a must! Here is the kicker: weak drinks. This is what may swing my not going back. I ordered the gaudy pina colada (the one that comes in a pineapple), and there was hardly any rum in it! I have had a few of these, and know when someone is trying to take me for a ride... Someone else at the table got a margarita, and same story! (weak weak weak). This was pointed out to our waitress, and there was no sympathy, explanation, or offer to "make it right". The staff was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. As for the food, it was absolutely delicious. Every dish we tried was bursting with flavor, from the perfectly seasoned chips to the rich and savory enchiladas. Don't even get me started on the guacamole--it was so fresh and creamy, we couldn't stop eating it! The indoor decor was another highlight. We love their Salsa and Tacos. Lot of vegetarian options and we love eating here. Mi Cancun is our favorite Mexican restaurant in the area. We enjoy their live guacamole appetizer and my daughter loves their quesadilla, refried beans and rice. I'm a vegetarian/pescatarian and there are a lot of options for me! My go-to is the tacos de pescado or the veggie enchiladas. My husband loves the chicken enchiladas. The service is also quick and the staff is friendly. Also, I just wanted to point out that the Yelp user, "Rosalind A." has left a 1-star review for Mi Cancun, but also has left 92 consecutive 1-star reviews in our area. My Family has eaten at the restaurant as well as ordered online, all with great success....However..... this evening we ordered online and received the time it would be ready. I ran to pick up the food after the time promised. Well, talk about your perfect storm. It was packed, it was raining, and I wasn't feeling my best. Had to wait for my order. When I got home found out it was the wrong order. So after the steam stopped coming out of my ears, I called the restaurant. The Manager, who I'm sorry I didn't get his name, answered. Well let me tell you, not only did he take care of the problem, but he went above and beyond. We're very grateful that we enjoyed a delicious dinner. In fact, the waiter could not point out on the menu the margarita he charged us for. If you offer a margarita special, just honor it. I gave the waiter the menu and said show me what I ordered for the price indicated on the bill.. Nevertheless, he could not find it. Just a heads up, it was a regular margarita, no salt.. I have been coming to Mi Cancun in Morrisville for years but have noticed a decline in the service and food at the Morrisville location lately. During my last visit on 6/21 the table was covered in flies and all kinds of bugs while we tried to eat. The service was fast, but the ACP tasted like it was bathed in salt and I had to drink water all afternoon to recover. Please keep a check on the salt content, it can run a meal for people who don't love overly-salted food! The service was better before they expanded to so many other locations, which is to be expected but please keep working at it! read more

My sister and I arrived and were able to seat ourselves at a lovely outdoor table surrounded by lush greenery. We were greeted promptly and placed our drink orders (margarita, my that glass is sizable, yum!; draft Corona Premier - refreshing!). Also ordered some cheese dip (also yummy, and free with a Yelp! review - yay! We ordered ACP to share and it was delicious! Duleyde took excellent care of us. Highly recommend a visit when you're in the area. They also have fun photo ops - with oversized pink chairs and a large bench swing. Fun! read more

I just have to say how wonderful this place is! I just ordered soup from here because it is the best chicken soup in town! And also because I do not have my car today...due to a miscommunication via an app the confirmation I received was that my order was ready for pick up not on its way to me :( I called them and a very nice gentleman actually brought it to me himself!!!!! I am under the weather today and it is saving my life so I am incredibly thankful!!! read more

Mi Cancun catered a great engagement party for us this on New years eve. The fajitas were amazing. The Jose chicken quesidillas a great taste surprise. The home made guacamole was gobbled up by all our guests. José and Renee delivered and set up. They brought everything we needed. They were efficient, polite and solicitious. If you looking for the worst service and trashing your money then this is for you . Came here upon Yelp reviews, after we got the orders we found this is not what we ordered . When asked to take it back they were mad and didn't like to replace our orders . Give us attitude and weird faces . I just paid and took off . Place very dirty, full of flies everywhere on plates and food so ugly . Don't waste your money here . read more

We had such a great experience here! The food was absolutely amazing everything came out fresh, flavorful, and full of authentic taste. It came out very fast too! You can tell a lot of care goes into both the food and the overall experience. This is a bar & restaurant that has become more and more racist in its attitude. There is zero tolerance for diversity. It plays to the whims of the bar tenders and its servers. I would absolutely discourage people from going to this place as even the food and drinks suck. Any person in this community that values diversity and a community nature needs to stay away from this place. read more

My favorite restaraunt since it opened, consistently coming multiple times a week and getting the friendlies servers, along with the best food, anything here is a must try and my absolute favorite is the tieras de pollo, miguel recently memorized my order whenever I come in and it makes this place feel like a home. read more

There was HAIR IN MY FOOD and the way the staff handled the situation was very disappointing. Despite discussing the issue with multiple people, they only offered a $6 deduction from the bill. While the money wasn't my main concern, their nonchalant attitude towards a food safety hazard was disheartening. read more
