I have driven by MC countless times, received countless mailings from them, and never stopped in for lunch or dinner. It is located in a trendy Morrisville plaza at the Davis drive-Morrisville parkway interchange and parking is limited. Nice outdoor area flanking both sides of restaurant for patio seating. Also, it has the 2nd largest adirondack chair in NC (Largest in High point) for kodak moments. Booth seating is provided, (hold your breath squeezing in) and there is a medium sized bar that adds to the festive atmosphere. Our server, Rafael, was very friendly, patient and attentive. I loved this place! It's super cute in the inside. The drinkssss are where the fun is. They do require mask for all guests although I did have to ask for another table because the one they assigned us was too close to the other guest. I usually get arroz con pollo but decided on something different since they have a lot on the menu. The food came out fast and hot and we dug right in. Surprisingly, I loved the refried beans! That was my favorite thing about this place. Their beans were seasoned! No where else seasons their beans and that's why I never eat them. It was a good time there. Mi Cancun has a classic Mexican upbeat vibe with vibrant decor. I have visited here two times, both on Saturdays and the place is always packed. If you are a vegetarian there are plenty of options on the menu. They will also customize it if needed. Guacamole dip was freshly made in front of us and was perfect on taste. I was very disappointed on my first visit but gave it a second chance, only to be further disappointed by the food preparation. The shrimp dish I had during my first visit was very salty. My husband and I grabbed some dinner at the Morrisville location last night. Service was excellent and food was out quick. We really enjoyed our drinks (got the Virgin pina colada and Virgin monitor). The salsa was really good as well. All of that made us pretty excited for the food, but we were less than impressed. This is officially our Mexican restaurant!! The family went there last night to eat dinner and celebrate a milestone- perfect choice! I knew off the bat that momma needed a margarita and it was delicious top shelf and the best price. We decided to get guacamole (because of course),, which they made table side...my son practically ate the whole thing!! Dinner was great and everyone ate everything. Unlike other restaurants, they filled your plate with great food, not an excess of blah Mexican food. Our server Esteban was funny, attentive, and egged my son on when he wanted to eat all the jalapenos (plus gave him some milk for the aftermath!) It was fresh and very delicious. The food arrived on time and gave us enough time to enjoy the guacamole and chips. I had the chicken fajitas and they were among the top 10 I have ever had. My wife had the steak burrito which was exquisite. My son had the grilled chicken tacos which were delicious and my daughter had the pollo chipotle which was cooked to perfection. Decided to try this Mexican place out since it was one of the higher reviewed Mexican places around. I went on a Tuesday with some friends in hope of a good taco Tuesday margarita special, though there really wasn't much of a special at all for the margaritas on a Tuesday, I believe their special was more on a Saturday which then it was $5 I wanna say for any margarita. Next time il be sure to go on a Saturday. I ordered the enchiladas of each kind they had, they were good. I wouldn't say they were great, but they were good. The service was great though, and the pricing was so so for what you get. Most Mexican places Iv been are typically on the cheaper side and this one seemed to be a little pricy. Impromptu lunch today with a couple of my team members! Our original destination was closed and though I was not in the mood for Mexican I agreed to come here because I know it's cheap. Food: As a vegetarian I don't care to eat Mexican. All the veg dishes taste the same to me and I'm not the biggest fan of what I got - the green burrito. I want to say it's the sauce that throws me off. It's missing something - maybe a sweetness or tanginess? But you definitely get big portions for the price during lunch! And my coworkers who got the chicken and shrimp fajitas seemed pleased with their choices so maybe for the carnivores this is the place to go. Now I know typically margaritas come with a salted-rim, and that's cool. It's not my cup of tea, but I usually successfully avoid the rim. Well, I had no option. They must have dropped salt in my cup, cause that drink was thick like saliva. Yuuuuuuck! Even my husband didn't want to drink it. I ordered a Sprite. I ordered a combo that's supposed to come with one beef enchilada, chili con queso, and two beef tacos. My husband and I LITERALLY placed our order and not even two minutes later, we had our food in front of us. How in the world did they fix our food so fast? Oh wait, that's right, it was either sitting under some heating lamps waiting for someone to place that order or they literally threw something together. And where the hell was my chili??? They split a hard shell taco and threw some cheese on that mug. I laughed and said "Damn, ya'll must have had that food just sitting there". Why did the waiter chuckle and say, "Yea". okaaaay. The ONE okay part of this experience is our waitress. She did the bare minimum and gave me a fresh Sprite in a to-go cup; so we gave her more than 20%. Raleigh, ya'll missed the mark with this place. How this place have such great reviews is beyond me. This place is HORRIBLE. We judge Mexican restaurants highly on their margaritas. Drinks: Husband ordered a mango one and it was so sweet he couldn't finish even half of it. Then he decided to give it another shot and order the house frozen margarita and this one was so sour it tasted like a 12 oz of lime juice with a hint of tequila. Our frozen margarita had to be returned because it was not frozen- and they brought out a little better one but still not frozen and he didn't finish it. Reminded me of those pre mixed margaritas in the slushie machine that are not made to order and ten times worse. I had the spicy mango mojito and that was pretty good. Stay away from the margs. Food: they have some pretty good house hot sauce, be sure to ask for that if you want some heat. I got tacos and my husband had ground beef nachos. My tacos tasted okay but nothing to write home about. Ground beef nachos had a plastic rubbery taste to them that was hard to describe. I didn't believe my husband at first but I tried them and they did not taste like normal ground beef. All around bad experience. We are used to better drinks and better food. This came up as I searched for some options for Tex-Mex. I am a pretty big fan of traditional and Tex-Mex places, so I decided to give this one a shot (came up as an Ad). This place is huge and that is an understatement. There had to of been close to 100 tables there not including the bar! They had a lot of different specials running and if you check-in on the app you'll get a free cheese dip which is a great deal, also was by far my favorite part of my meal. They use jalapenos with their cheese dip and I thought overall it was fantastic! As far as my order I did an order of fajitas with chicken and steak. Portion size was extremely big, but the overall taste was far too salty for me. I am normally used to a good balance of salt with the fajitas, but this was over the top. Service was pretty solid. I never ran out of water which was nice! As far as price goes, getting that deal on the cheese dip made it under $20 with tip for fajitas, and cheese dip with chips. Literally the BEST mexican restaurant in the triangle! I come here way too often because first of all, their food is so amazing. Second, they have the best margarita ever! Also, their reasonable price is a huge plus. Whenever I come here, I always leave with my food-baby in my belly- their portion is so huge that I can never finish my plate, but hey, I am not complaining because that means, I can have mexican food again for tomorrow's lunch! Alright I have been here a couple of times and I have to say they were the best in business earlier - about an year earlier but now it's all down to cheap Mexican food. The menu is consistent old school and nothing innovative about it. They could have improved upon the menu and introduced new special of the day when they were at their top. But they decided to keep the same menu and cut down cost and the quantity. I hate to say they are now cutting down ok quality as well. I was at the restaurant on a weekday roughly around 9pm. The tortillas we got were all gluey moistened and dried up on the sides. They must have cooked it early on. I understand it was late in the day for them but doesn't mean you would let the quality down towards the closing hours. We all dreaded ourselves for having eaten those tortillas. We had to show our server the state of our tortillas and ask for a new order. And they gave just one new tortillas pack and we were three of us. Did the waiter expect us to share that tortillas pack and not ask for anymore. It became awkward at that point and we had to leave with hungry tummies. Like I said, I have been a regular here but not any more. The restaurant gets a two star only because of the location. read more

Fully impressed. The cheese dip was delicious, creamy white cheese in a very large portion. Food was good too (steak in the enchilada was juicy and cooked to perfection). I think the highlight was the house margarita, blasting with fruit flavor, perhaps the best margarita I've ever had. Ambiance is great, with a very up-beat and positive vibe.
