Such a disappointing meal here this evening after having had decent meals here before. Small bugs were flying around our table and food. I ordered the street tacos which were supposed to be beef fajita meat on corn tortillas. This is my favorite Mi Cocina in Plano. Management and staff are always nice and very professional. One particular server that stands out is Genaro. Their food is good. My son doesn't like to go here because they only have sodas in a can and obviously no refills. I guess they want to force everyone to order alcohol!! A happy hour would be nice too. On a positive note they have a great patio with a play area for kids read more

Super disappointed. My friends and I have been here for an hour and the waiter still has not brought the utensils we have repeatedly asked for. The food has been taking 20 minutes and I just asked about it and the waiter said it would be 15+ minutes. Really loved this place before, don't know what happened. I love Mi Cocina!! I love their flautas and fajitas. They have allot of good stuff on their menu. The chips are better than most places and the guacamole. The patio is my favorite it's covered and they also have space that's not covered. The service is amazing. WEIRDEST experience of my life !! We had 5 different people come by the table ! My 23 yr old friend from Connecticut tried to order a drink and the manager made her show her student ID and wouldn't expect her actual ID because it wasn't a Texas one ? She was rude and made us feel uncomfortable! Our official server tried to make it a better experience but all the way around we won't be back at this location ! Horrible location. It used to be good. The last time we had awful service and I thought it was a fluke. Went back yesterday to sit for over 15 minutes with no waiter. Finally flagged down a manager who got us drinks and said our waiter would be right over. 10 minutes later we left some cash for our drinks and walked out. Never again. read more

MiCocina Lakeside has one of the best patio's in North Dallas. Our birthday party group was seated quickly with two tables different heights outside. The server didn't seem to care or bother to change one table so our decorations would be level. Once seated and all the guests arrived, we were forgotten. I went to go to the hostess station two different times to get our waiter. The restaurant manager came by to thank our tables for celebrating at their location. One guest did not receive her drink until after our food arrived. The food (which is always good) did not disappoint. The restaurant inside and out was pretty empty. I'm guessing the "bad service" word is out and customers are dining at other MiCocina's -- this location needs help. read more

Good food, good service. Took three kids (9-17) and three adults - all hungry. The chips and salsa were really good. The entrees were were very tasty. The service was friendly and the price was mid-range. Had the brisket tacos. They were good, but there was nothing really 'special' about them.
