Might seriously be the most authentic Mexican restaurant I've been to since moving to Chicago over five years ago. Caldo de res was amazing, not oily, and filled to the brim of my bowl with veggies and beef. They make their own juices and licuados and it shows that they use real fruits and veggies for them. Their housemade drinks are delicious. Their apple flavored soda is not Manzanita Sol, but Mundet. That was slightly disappointing, but not unexpected; I've yet to find a restaurant in Illinois that serves Manzanita Sol. Mexican immigrant owned and operated establishment. It's really an amazing place with great food at great prices. Who else serves authentic and delicious cóctel de camarones at $12.99? They play Telemundo and Univision on their televisions. Mexican food!! I love this little restaurant. Best part is it just 2 minutes away from me. Their food are really good and the place is well maintain. The cashier are always polite. The food usually take about 6+ minutes to cook. If you're dining in they serve you chips and Salsa. The only reason I'm rating it with only 3 stars is because it's a small restaurant. I've had my good share of fish tacos from All over town, this place is by far the best & freshest fish tacos I've had. They grill their tilapia instead of frying it. It's so much healthier and it's perfectly seasoned. I've had tacos in Mexico as well and this place is most definitely authentic Mexican tacos! Here it comes again.... The need for Mexican food. Decided to try this place out since it got good reviews. The place is pretty small with 5 tables. Some decorations and a refrigerator with drinks, salsa, and desserts. Had to wait couple of mins which was no biggie. Ordered a horchata, chorizo taco , al pastor taco and a carne asada tostada. If you dine in they give you chips salsa and a bowl of beans. Chips and salsa: chips were good. Salsa a little spicy. They had other ones that I didn't know until I looked at the refrigerator. One big problem... The salsa I had contained chunks of meat. Not sure if it was reused or it fell in. Told the waitress and she looked and got me a new cup. Chorizo taco: parts of the meat were burnt. I didn't mind cause I enjoy the crispness. Had some onions, cilantro, and grilled onions. Overall I enjoyed the taco. Al pastor taco: marinated really well with pieces of pineapple. Again with cilantro and onions. Enjoyed this taco also. Carne asada tostada. There was a layer of beans covered by the meat, some sour cream, tomatoes , cilantro , and onions. The carne asada was tender and juicy. My only complaint was that it had way to many pieces of fat. Horchata: delicious. Def hit the spot. The place does take credit card with a minimum of 5 dollars. The waitress was nice and apologized for the wait but not the salsa. This place is consistently good. I never received a carne asada taco I didn't like. Their green sauce is amazing.

One of my favorite taco spots in the local neighborhood. Not frilly and tastes authentic. I've never dined in but I've ordered from Uber Eats 10+ times. I love the green salsa, rice, veggie tacos, the seasoned fries, the Picadillo and chicken tacos are also really tasty. I knocked off a star because there has been errors in my order a few times and the toppings or extras were incorrect. The Uber Eats menu has avocado included in the veggie tacos but you still have to add it and pay an up charge to actually get it. I recommend they smooth out their menu and make sure it's up to date. read more

I don't mind paying what the food is worth but if I order a taco dinner I would expect there to be at least more than two salsas and when I asked for one more the lady said she was going to charge me. as a customer I shouldn't feel like the business is trying to squeeze out every last scent from me that they possibly can. food is still really great. if you are ordering from their online menu just be aware that none of the menus are updated and the prices are not the same. read more

This place is a hit or miss. I've had great food and I've had okay food. And I've had "end of the night about to close up shop" food. Never consistent. I haven't written a proper Yelp review in ages. That said, I had an amazing meal from Mi Pueblo + will definitely be ordering from them again. Placed an order for two, well packaged + the portions were as hoped. I had a veggie burrito + was pleasantly surprised by the flavors (Because, c'mon, those of us who order veggie burritos do so out of pure hope for taste). The onions + mushrooms had a smokey grilled flavor + there were actual slices of green pepper, not diced. The lettuce had a fresh crunch, the beans were hearty (with chunks of melt-in-your-mouth beans) + the rice was fluffy. I didn't have avocado as the menu described (which I've read others have dealt with) but the additional order of guacamole remedied that. The guacamole! Fresh, actual avocado w/ tomato, red onion, lime + cilantro. Great portion too. As others have mentioned, the "orange" salsa is not for the faint of heart. The green salsa is delicious + has more of a sweet tang to counter the heat. My husband had the steak burrito w/ well-seasoned strips of steak (Bonus: More steak than lettuce) + all of his "so full" comments have been quickly followed with "but SO good!". He also had a side of quesadilla w/ the meal, which was still crisp + a side of rice w/ beans. The prices were modest given all that we received. If you are currently overwhelmed with too many options, bordering on hangry + if you fear that a further "What's for dinner?" debate may lead to divorce -Stop right now, take a deep breath + place your order from Mi Pueblo Two. read more

I must have been starving or the food was just so tasty when I had the steak burrito for here because I devoured it in a matter of mins. Along with the awesome guacamole. Another great plus for them is Mi Pueblo does not have to compete with all the other taco joints on Clark street in Rogers Park. The burrito was nice and normal along with not over stuffed / bursting from all the fillings. The guacamole had the utmost flavor and nothing was over powering. I used to order from here all the time, but I have been waiting 40 mins over the delivery time and the restaurant has told me that they could not talk to the driver even though grub hub has told me that the restaurant had their own driver. The shrimps in the cocktail were a bit chewy. and the guacamole was kind of flat, but overall, I would try them again. I am eager to try the fish tacos based on other reviews.
