Great service! I am a regular. The queso is awesome while the chunky guacamole can do with out the extra lettuce and tomato. The Mucho Dinner is one of my absolute favorites. I always order the dinner special but with chicken enchiladas. The taco on the mucho dinner is a little greasy though. Waiters and waitress's are always nice. The patio used to be great until they changed it. It's pretty much just an extension of the restaurant. The patio area is very echo-y and not really worth it to sit there. It's all closed off and not really open to being outside. Sometimes you need to clarify certain things to the waiter with your meal if you're in a large group - such as the meat you want being rare (red). The sampler appetizer can be easily made into an entree with how large it is. Prepare to fill your belly! Everything is hot, but sometimes it's too easy to tell that the whole plate had been sitting under a heat lamp - such as the plate being burning hot. The margaritas are fantastic. read more

Disgusting, disgusting, disgusting!! We have been coming here since it opened. I've watch this location go down hill within the last year. They never used to act as if the costumer was a nuisance. We set outside on the "patio" and it took 10 mins for someone to asks for our drinks. We asked for chips while we where getting drinks. It took another 10 mins and us asking asking someone else to bring our drinks. Then after we got our drinks from the last person the waiter brought over more drinks! It was raining really bad that day and the lights went out several times no one came over and asked if we wanted to move inside when you could clearly see my kids where upset because of the rain. After about another 20mins of just eating chips they finally came back out and got our dinner order. Then another waiter walked out right after him to get our food order!! Wth they had no idea what was going on. We got our food and decided to wait out the rain but as we where eating a roach crawled right across our table!! I got up and left with the kids and let my husband deal with it. I couldn't sit there and eat anymore after that. My husband got in the car I asked him what did the manager say. My husband said he said ok and that was it didn't apologize or anything. I'm so disappointed in this place it used to be so good. The staff used to be very attentive to the customer needs. Now they are to busy watching tv and talking with each other in the bar area to give a hoot about anyone. read more

We have come here for about 5 years and love it. I just tried the Chicken Diablos and WOW. Chicken strips in a mild jalapeño pepper with cheese and the whole thing wrapped in bacon! Awesome. The standards of fajitas, enchiladas and nachos are great too. read more

I don't know how other people give this place good reviews on here when their competition is surpassing them on taste, customer service, cleanliness, and food variety. I went their with my family and the place was packed. When I got my order of fajitas I was not at all impressed with the look, and taste of the food. It took them 45 mins to make my order as well on a Saturday late evening night. Have been going here since they opened. Good food and Rita's, but the last three times I had to beg for their green salsa. This last time I asked three different people and never got my salsa. Maybe the waiter should have paid attention because his tip was cut in half. Start serving green and red salsa with the chips again. Having to ask over and over is ridiculous. read more

Today was the second time in the past 2 weeks(& period) ive eatten here..Both times i was insanely pleased with EVERYTHING! The prices are good the service(weve eatten here when its been super packed and today it wasnt very busy)both times was excellent. Drinks AND your food you order come out amazingly fast! The food is so delicious and i just honestly cant find. One con about this place. Id chose it over almost all others. My family and I (four total) ate here tonight because it was close to a school event at a nearby facility. Despite the main room being 75% empty the "Hostess" attempted to seat us at a table that was wedged between the bar, a brick wall and a large party. When I requested a new table she picked up the menus, pointed at the main room and said "pick one". The actual meal - maragaritas that tasted like lemon-lime Kool Aid, dry chicken fajitas, and a dish call Tototlan that can be interpreted as "dry chicken smothered in cheese with three poorly seasoned shrimp. Given the number of Tex-Mex options in Houston I'm not sure why folks come here. We certainly won't again read more

The food was very good but there were two things that I didn't like and it was their customer service (the waiter didn't seem willing to help) and there was a heavy smell of oil. I'm sorry but all the people who say mi rancho is very good .is becouse they are use to texmex food .and they do not notice the difference. I went to eat chile's rellenos and they where uncooked .the flour tortillas also uncooked rice was dry .meet is good and soft enchiladas not a real flavor just tacos topped with cheese and some flavorless sauce .I wish you have a little more tough on this restaurant that they don't do mexican food but some sort of it . I never write bad reviews, but the employees at Mi Rancho really upset me. This was not my first time there and I will not be going back. They were extremely rude, got my order wrong, and what I received was disgusting. Back story: I ordered over the phone for pick up. First off the girl on the phone was rude and seemed inattentive. She said it would be ready in 10 minutes and hung up on me without telling me the total. When I arrived, I was not acknowledged. Even when I said hi. But the couple who walked in 2 secs after me got greeted and asked if they wanted to be seated. Finally the cashier asked me what I needed and I told her that I was there to pickup and pay for my order. I gave her my name, but she didn't listen, she asked what my name was. My main course was wrong. I ordered the Mucho Dinner, chips and salsa, and Mini churros. Instead they gave me gross nachos as the main course, plus chips and salsa, and disgusting churros...no Mucho Dinner, which is the whole reason I went there. When I tried to explain that my order was wrong, the cashier spoke rudely to me and gave a look at her coworker like I was annoying. The whole front of the house was horrible. I have been to Mi Rancho multiple times, and have never been disappointed. The food is very good and is very consistent. The De Tonala is our favorite entree, it is a mix of beef, shrimp and chicken fajitas, with grilled broccoli, carrots, cauliflower, squash, onions, mushrooms and... bacon! The potato nachos are a very tasty and unique appetizers, and the margaritas are quite good as well. The service is good, not great, but never bad. SUPER fast service. Great price. Awesome chips and salsa. My boyfriend and I ordered chicken fajitas for two and it fed us perfectly. The meat was very juicy and tender. The only complaint would be the tortillas, but they weren't terrible. We are just used to the tortillas at pappacitos. Needless to say we will be back. read more
