Hands down the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I ordered a bridesmaid dress from them and needed to exchange it for a larger size. My request was immediately denied under their 5 day return policy which doesn't address exchanges at all. After phone calls from several members of the bridal party who were having the same issue, the owner finally agreed to let me exchange the dress. No return label was provided and I was instructed to buy the new dress first and then they would refund me for the first dress. I did as instructed and paid for shipping. Very annoying, but not a big deal. I received a notification a few days later informing me that I had been refunded for the first dress. Great! Only problem is, they didn't give me a full refund. They didn't refund the full cost of the dress, no refund on taxes, and no refund on shipping. To make matters worse, they sent me the wrong size!! So now I have a second dress from them that is still the wrong size. I've paid for shipping twice and lost money on the first dress since they didn't give me a full refund. At first, it took awhile for them to contact me back but when they did reach beach to be they reassured me that my dress would be sent out in time. when I called to check up on my order and told them that my prom was this Friday and that I needed it to come soon. I was told that they ship out in a day, however, I never received my tracking number so I called again the next day or the day after the next day and I was told that my original dress was not in stock even though my prom was THIS WEEK. they offered the same dress in a different color, I was disappointed but accepted since it was too late to find any other dress that would come in time. fast forward to when my dress comes, there's loose threads. mind you I am I high school student that paid for my OWN dress. this dress came wednesday however I was caught up with school so I didn't reach out to them until today not to get a refund but to let them know about their service and the damaged dress. I was told to "Just pull out the thread." and "In your procession for a few days now... To bring this matter up at the eleventh hour you should of reached out immediately. This is obviously bothersome." anyone knows that pulling a thread out will cause further damage. I AM A HS STUDENT W RESPONSIBILITIES. thoughout trying to communicate with them I kept getting attitude from customer service. as a customer, I was upset because they were assuming that I was lying. for instance "Why are you reluctant to send a full picture" when the picture was there and evident. For the associate helping me today at 11am...I would give zero stars if I could this was a disaster of a bridal appointment. Thank you for making me feel absolutely horrible about my body by stating to my bridesmaid "I can't magically make the dress fit her" and by laughing as I struggled to fit into anything you picked out. I'd like to add I have an athletic body type with larger hips because well I have an ass and these dresses are clearly not made for people with any sort of curve. They also only seem to carry sizes 2/4/6? And in dress size, that is SMALL. She didn't understand what "art deco" inspired dresses were and kept implying she didn't understand what I was looking for even through I felt like I was pretty clear. I also had referenced dresses on their website ahead of time when making the appointment and apparently that doesn't get taken into consideration. I live in San diego so the drive isn't too far but I set aside time to come here as their website had the most beautiful dresses...but it was everything but the beautiful bridal experience I wanted. I left feeling defeated and as the associate kept picking dresses out that had "tummy slimming mesh" I felt even worse. I never once said I wanted anything slimming...but thank you for bringing that up. I worked as a personal stylist for 6 years, this is NOT how you treat women in such a vulnerable position. Cannot say enough good things about my experience today! After a very discouraging search for a MOB dress for my daughters wedding in December, I was feeling defeated. I had a frustrating experience earlier in day at another store. Just wanted to go home and give up. I took a chance and just went to Mia Bella Couture after finding them on Jovani website. They were so helpful. Really listened to what I was envisioning. Pulled many dresses, helped me trying them on and took pictures for me! Jane especially was clutch! She found EXACTLY what I was wanting! Not only that, found it in my size in the back so I didn't have to stress over ordering it! I went in thinking I wanted Jovani. But she showed me a Rene Atelier that was perfect! So happy to have a unique dress, a realized vision and to feel that stress be lifted. Overall, I was thrilled with my dress and the price (coming in under budget, score!) I think the process was fun because it was personalized and with Julia, a wonderful girl who had worked there a long time, but unfortunately does. My dress came in early which was great too. When I went back to buy a veil, I felt it was extremely overpriced, but a family member insisted on purchasing it anyway. If you are looking for a true boutique experience, this is not it. I took my daughter prom dress shopping yesterday to the Scottsdale store. The store is tiny and looks much more glamorous on the online photos. The walls are dirty / scuffed by dressing rooms. Curtains are grimy. The dressing rooms are just big curtains with one back wall. It reminded me of a cheap, pop-up dress store. The dresses are really not designer gowns nor designer quality. The selection is limited. The only reason I gave three stars is the girls who work there are great and have a lot of patience. read more

Had the best experience here! The first day I went shopping for a wedding dress, I stumbled upon this boutique and was instantly obsessed with all the dresses they had! Daryl and Jess were super helpful, giving me countless items to try on (I couldn't help myself) but by the 3rd try I knew I found THE ONE- a sleeveless, A-Line wedding dress! I ordered a Pronovias wedding dress online and the whole process was super easy. The website is easy to work with and there were no issues when I paid through Paypal. I emailed them first and Debbie (owner?) answered all my questions within 2-3 hours, and yes I had a lot of questions. I think I sent 10+ emails? I bought a sample dress and I wanted to make sure the dress was in excellent condition and asked Debbie for pictures. She told me the dress had no flaws, no loose buttons, no tears and no stains. The dress itself is in great condition despite being a sample dress. The top button in the back will need to be tightened a bit. There is a small tear in the tulle skirt but the train is soooo long, I understand that they didn't see it. The bottom of the skirt will need to be hemmed anyways. There are no stains and the details on my dress look amazing!! I was really worried because I hadn't read all the online reviews before ordering from Mia Bella. I freaked out afterwards, especially since the dress HAD to arrive by a specific date at my hotel. I was staying in that hotel for 4 nights only. I was super relieved to see that my dress was shipped AND arrived on time! It was shipped in a pretty large box and weighed 10lbs. It also came with the standard Pronovias hanger and garment bag. Overall, I am very satisfied and I would gladly order another dress from them. read more

NEVER ORDER FROM HERE LITERALLY 0 STARS. This was my experience and my opinion of this place. I ordered a dress on March 29, and was promised when I ordered it would be shipped on the April 10th, keep in mind my prom was on the 28th. On April 10th my order was not shipped, and as the days started going by I grew concerned. I emailed them but got no reply so I commented on their instagram account inquiring about the situation. They told me they're shipment hadn't arrived yet. I called again a few days later asking about it. They were super agitated and dismissive, telling me the order would be shipped that day of the day after. Another two days go by AND STILL NOTHING. I dmed them again. I'll attach pictures of the dm so you can see how rude and unprofessional they are. After confronting them, the owner called me and basically told me the situation isn't her fault. She told me I needed to be "more understanding" because of the pandemic and that she can't handle business because no one will work for her over "government handouts" She then told me my instagram comment (simply asking about my order) was childish and immature and that's why she deleted it. I told her that if you can't communicate with a paying customer and have to delete comments to save face you she reevaluate your business structure. She said to me "You know what I'm canceling your order, never contact us again or come into a store or try to order from us." And hung up on me and blocked me on instagram. Keep in mind, I'm only 18, so my dad called them to guarantee a refund. She told my dad I was "verbally abusive" although I remained calm and respectful on the phone. I never cussed, or made any rude remarks, I simply expressed my concerns and told the owner I was frustrated. I said no my daughters prom is this week in a couple of days what happens if it doesn't fit and it needs to be fixed? She said I will tell him to call. No I wasn't I paid for a dress that was suppose to be here no one called me, you said it would only be 4 days and the dress would be in... now a week later and still nothing. Honestly, dresses are beautiful and good quality. Customer Service on the other hand if Horrific. I ordered a dress following their measurements and had problems with the bust area. Wanting to exchange it, turns out it is not possible because knowing their models don't fit to people that are D-cup. Their solution is for me to return it : shipment on my charges + restocking fees(ending up me paying twice for the price of the dress, without having a dress in hand!) I decide to keep the dress but I will have to make changes since they don't seem proper to inform their clients about those kind of specific measurements, they won't accept a compensation. The 2 stars is for the pretty good selection, but the condition of the dresses is pretty poor from the aggressive try ons. The obsequious sales "girls", mostly immature and poorly trained created a great experience for customers decked out in Prada and Gucci, leaving the remaining customers to practically fend for themselves. We came 3 days in a row before anyone would even help us and after making an appointment, they booked someone else with the same first name at the same time, not even realizing they weren't the same person. Immediately said they wouldn't help us (again!) until the owner stepped in. They suggested we buy the dress, take it home that day and then make an appointment for alteration. When I called they said they can't handle the alterations. In a nutshell, it's a zoo, no one knows what's going on and the commitment to service after you've paid (most dresses are $400-800) is nil. If I could give them 0, I would...but it also seems like I would be echoing a lot of the recent complaints I've seen on this so called business. Too bad we didn't check out the yelp reviews earlier prior to going here for our bridesmaid dresses, but in the end - most of these wedding dress retailers know they can take advantage of the fact that brides tend to be vulnerable and a hostage to timelines. This one takes the grand prize of what I think to be poor business practice and a complete disregard for the consumer. If the store wasn't in Del Mar, I would think I was haggling in some third-world country flea market. Short story: Bridesmaids dresses ordered in January - promised delivery by May. No word from the store - after several attempts, the Bride gets a "sort of" answer that they "should" be there in June though at this point, no guarantees. Several calls, different answers every time and finally they come in less than 10 days before the wedding leaving no room to get alterations made elsewhere forcing us to alter the dresses in the store. No apologies from the owner, in fact, the store continued to blame the dress manufacturer for the delays and takes no ownership of the situation. Tip: If you can try on the dresses in the store, take note of the dress and find another retailer elsewhere. Unless you like gambling with getting dresses in time for your wedding or spending most of your precious planning time on trying to figure out when your dresses would actually come in. read more

I needed something perfect for a Marine Corp Ball coming up. It's my first one ever and I am beyond excited! Two words: Ball Gown. You can pretty much land any chick with that. Problem #1: The perfect dress. So hard to find. Everything else I had seen was either too cheap looking or too young. I wanted red carpet, stunning, with quality fabric and fit-not a junior prom dress. I hunted online for awhile, and was just too scared to purchase something like this without trying it on. There were actually several that I could have gone with, but in the end, she helped me make the best choice. I wanted the perfect mix of va va voom and value. FOUND. Mia Bella gives a girl a little runway of her own-I went with red of course (Which I blame on award winning designer Kenneth Barlis, I've been obsessed ever since FW) The evening gowns range from couple hundred and top out at about 800. Surprising, as the location in Del Mar is prime and the gowns are SUBLIME. They also have a bridal line, bridesmaids gowns, and styles that range from Marine Corp Ball Princess (Me) to Mother of The Bride gowns (Not me.) I really want my boyfriends jaw to drop when he sees me-I'm even keeping the dress a secret from him till then. No peaking! I came into the boutique about a month before my wedding after a mishap with a previous dress and thought I would have to settle on something I didn't love as much because of the short notice. After learning what I was looking for and helping me try on numerous gowns to figure out exactly what I was looking for, we were finding that nothing was quite perfect. That's when Derek told me that he could custom make exactly the gown I wanted, within my budget, and with time to spare before the wedding. I ordered this dress back in January and they promised it would be in between 6-8 weeks. It is now April (well over 12 weeks) and the latest it was supposed to come in was April 11. I spoke with Lea over the phone a few times who used to be pretty helpful, but honestly now she doesn't seem like she cares. It was pulled and not in great shape from being tried on so much we asked them to order a new one from a different store. When my daughter tried it on for alterations, the zipper was broken, several seems torn, buttons missing. Purchased my wedding dress February 2017. The experience was absolutely wonderful. My family and I were in the pretty bridal suite laughing and celebrating the occasion. The dress I purchased arrived from Madrid in early June. I had my first fitting late July because I was traveling from out of state. Derek pinned everything personally and added a bustle to my dress. He tacked on a belt I purchased from Etsy. I returned to the store the Wednesday before my wedding and the dress fit perfectly. My groom loved it!! Buyer beware- if you purchase online from this store you are basically throwing your money away because they do not fulfill their orders. They falsely advertise items as "in stock" when they know they do not have them. I ordered my daughter a prom dress, guaranteed with them directly that they had the color/size in stock and ready for delivery. We even paid to expedite three day delivery. They took the money for the dress and the expedited delivery and then a week later they stated they had an error with inventory and did not have the dress or size we ordered. They stated if we want the dress in the size we ordered, we would have to pay double because they now need to order directly from the manufacturer. They took my money, never reimbursed me and never fulfilled the order. I have called and emailed several times. Every time I call the number listed online, a NASTY girl named Julia hangs up on me. I believe they know they are running a scam and stealing from customers who believe this is a legitimate business with actual inventory. read more

I'm left wondering if it will ever come in when I need it to. I call back and ask for an ETA. The girl says she will call me back and never does. Finally I call and get the owner. He tells me one more week. Finally that week rolls around. STILL NO DRESS. I am worried. The ball is in two weeks and I still have alterations to do. I get a call later in the week that the dress is in. My complaint is this. Mia Bella should have been in contact with me telling me the dress was going to arrive late. Not the other way around. That is what you pay them for. To keep you updated. I know I wasn't spending thousands of dollars on a wedding gown or hundreds on pageant gowns like most customers seem to do but I am a paying customer and I feel like I was brushed to the side. I will consider this store next year for the ball but I am not sure if I will purchase my dress through them. My gown however is perfect. Everything I wanted it to be and more. We did not have a good experience at this bridal store. The dresses are all size 4 to six. If you are not a six and under I wouldn't bother going into this store. They are pricy dresses and the quality isn't worth the price. My friend left feeling bad about her body because the dresses didn't fit. I went to this location for bridesmaid dresses, while we got all the orders in and on time there were many difficulties we had with them in the process... 1. They def need to over-communicate the fact that they will not place your entire party's order until the last person pays/orders. I had 6 bridesmaids, so I didnt realize that 1 person lagging would cause problems for all 6 girls. They told me when it was almost too late and wanted me to pay them a rush fee for delivery. They mentioned that this was due to the way the dresses are dyed together which is completely fine but they need to make sure to over-communicate this since a bride is already busy enough and its hard to keep track of when multiple people are placing orders/paying! Also they mentioned this as the fall-back even in regards to my MOH dress which was a completely different brand/color and therefore should have been ordered right away. 2. 1 girl there in particular is just RUDE, not good as customer service in person or on the phone. 3. They ordered my MOH dress 3 sizes too big! And when she told them that it was the wrong size, they made an excuse rather than admitting to it being their fault. If you are going to order 3 sizes bigger that should have been communicated so that when a customer comes they are shocked by it. Overall, we got our dresses, some in the wrong size..but it got done. The process along the way was not the best and they def have a lot of room for improvement. This place is great!! I stopped into Mia Bella to look for a wedding gown without an appointment (opps) and instead of being turned away, I was welcomed in even though the store was already busy. After trying on dresses, I found the perfect one. The craziest thing was this was the FIRST DAY I even went looking for dresses! My maid of honor also jumped in and tried on some amazing bridesmaid dresses. Both Jess and Grace were helpful, sweet, and all-around great people. They were more than willing to share their thoughts when asked and always had another dress ready for me. I plan to come back to look for bridesmaid dresses and even my mom wants to come back for mother-of-the-bride dresses! Finally, the store was more than willing to make custom dresses, which I thought was a big plus! I would recommend this place to anyone - I ultimately found the perfect dress at my price point! read more
