So I read reviews before this one and I must say, I've have had a totally different experience than what I've read. Food I got a cheesesteak with fries and a slice of cheesecake. I was pleased with everything for the most part. The cheesesteak was fresh out the oven and moist enough to not dry out the steak. The bread was warmed up and had a little crisp on the outside which was nice. The fries were still warm by the time I got them, but with such little traffic I can imagine they sat a little, but it was good. Seasoned well, perfect crisp on them, a little warm to the touch but not overwhelming. The cheesecake is flavorful, but the crust falls apart too easy and is kind of dry. Nothing that can't be fixed with a simple change of vendors. Service I dealt with two associates one that took my order and another brought me my food. Both of them were just trying to do their jobs WHICH IS FAIR, but even still, they were attentive and never came off as standoffish or rude. Also, clear and concise. Ambience The decor is a little out dated I'll admit and the vinyl on the side of my table was falling off, but everything looked sturdy and able to facilitate hungry restaurant guests. What do you expect from a place that typically has 5 cars in their parking lots at most. Maybe some more business will bring out their potential as a chain restaurant. Restrooms Clean when I went in. I'm sure it gets worse but I've never been in a clean restroom from Ft. Lauderdale all the way to the bottom of Miami at a fast food restaurant. Although the food was flavorful and well made, there were several other downfalls to this particular location Firstly, the overall interior was significantly rundown, especially the restroom. It looked as if nothing had been renovated or cleaned in decades, and cleanliness definitely didn't seem to be of any priority. In addition, the people who worked here had absolutely no personality. The lady at the front who took our order seemed miserable with her job. That leads me to my last factor: the man who I can only assume was part of management due to his lack of any Miami Grill related attire (the only one wearing what could be mostly aptly described as a spitting image of the main character from GTA: Vice City) walked in from the street without a care in the world. No sense of cleanliness in sight, either. This probably explains why the establishment looked the way it did. This Miami Subs Grill fed me for an entire year and I am forever indebted to this franchised location. I know I was getting five different fresh vegetables in my drive thru meal. That's a high bar for fast food. I heard a rumor that Pitbull owns all of the Miami Subs Grills. I hope that he takes me to each location and performs a different hit at each one. Hadn't been to a Miami Subs in years because they closed so many locations and there are none in Orlando. So I wanted to try them and they still got it! The steak and cheese sub was delicious! The fries were crispy and well seasoned. The Greek salad was very good. The best part is everything was cooked fresh to order. The fried shrimp were ok but you wouldn't expect 5 star shrimp at a fast food restaurant. I didn't mind waiting a few minutes for fresh food. What annoyed me is part of my order was wrong and I didn't realize until I was down the highway. They messed up one of my sides so no huge deal. And they also forgot to give me salad dressing. Ok. I don't frequent this place but once in a while I want a good gyro and is there no decent gyro places in Miami? I was in the Hollywood area and wanted a simple lunch and didn't feel like the top 3. This place is so damn ghetto. Look at the duck tape wrapped around the bottom of the legs of the chair...I love Pitbull and thought he injected some cash into this chain. Only two stars because of the food... First, dying is a very likely possibility due to the small parking space lot that they have directly next to the drive-through. Getting in here is a confusion. The food at Miami subs is always been wonderful so that's not the point of the complaint. Their drive-through machine did not work and and it up screaming my order twice... Once in a while when I want a late night snack, I take a little drive to Miami Subs on Hollywood Blvd via the drive-thru and order the ONLY thing I enjoy: a 6 inch classic cheesesteak sub with Nathan's fries. The sub comes out very greasy, but it is sooooo good! The bread is soft and it's filled with pieces of steak, saute onions and green peppers, mushrooms, and melted provolone cheese...mmm-mmm. After I've popped the last Nathan's fry in my mouth, I'm left full and sat-is-fied. Miami Subs is without a doubt, on eof my favorite places for quality take out food. I love Philly Cheese Steaks. I am a purist about it and shudder at the thought of lettuce, tomato, or mayo on a cheese steak. There is something evil about those condiments that I just can't put my finger on. So when I say that Miami Subs makes a decent cheese steak that is high praise. They are hot, gooey, and have good bread. However they are not using sliced ribeye like they should, skimp a bit on the meat, and have mo option for cheese wiz as the cheese which is a Geno's staple and my favorite way to do a philly. The people at this location were neither warm nor cold. They were just providing luke warm service. The location had some cleanliness issues. It is also in a sketchy part of town so when we went for a late night snack there were some freaky people around. read more
