While I was home with the physical card still in my possession, a $173.46 charge appeared from an ExxonMobil gas station around 4:18pm My Amex app even shows the transaction as "Paid in Person." I immediately contacted my credit card company, and they confirmed the transaction was fraudulent, canceled my card, and are sending me a replacement. While I cannot say for certain whether this was caused by an employee, a compromised payment terminal, or something else, but the timing is extremely concerning. Management should review the security footage, investigate the employee interaction, and inspect the payment machines/card readers at this location to make sure customers' card information is not being compromised.
