I've been coming here for years because of the amazing quality of food for takeout but always had a terrible time with dining in. Food is amazing but I can never have a good time dining in with the waiters. They were playing inappropriate music that had curse words such as (50 Cent, Kendrick Lamar etc) which wasn't what I expected considering this restaurant was supposed to be a family friendly establishment. I've been to the other Peruvian restaurants nearby and never have I dealt with such unprofessionalism. Also the very tall young man waiter was being very perverted towards the woman, had a staring problem and would scope out the customers inappropriately. They were eager to rush out customers and would gossip amongst each other nearby. Not to mention how the service charge was a surprise especially with how mid grade leve service it was. Wasn't really sure what I wanted but ordered the aji de gallina. I like creamy dishes. This was awesome. I really enjoyed it, with some spicy sauce they had. This was my first time exploring Peruvian cuisine. Was greeted by a smiling waitress. They have nice outdoor dining with heaters to keep you warm. The menu has everything from seafood to rotisserie chicken. Everything sounded good! I decided on a beef dish, and chose Bisteck Anticuchero. I placed my order and was brought warm rolls and an amazing spicy sauce. My order came as all others are, in togo containers. Even in the togo container, the presentation was very pleasing to the. Couldn't wait to try it! I'm not a big rice person, but their rice is really good! Steak cooked perfectly and very flavorful. Portion size is really good. My meal also came with a mixed greens salad. I'm actually sad about my last visit here on Tuesday. My favorite dish, the ceviche mixto, came out beautiful, but the fish was hardly edible as it was overcooked in the lime juice. The texture of the fish reminded me of dry chicken breast out of a can. The server graciously replaced the dish with the cheese platter. I had ordered the vegetable chaufa which was very delicious, but didn't satisfy the intent of my visit. My boyfriend ordered the Bistec anticuchero and he was not impressed. The meat needed more flavor and some salt. He also had a tough time chewing it, as it was not a tender piece. When our server returned at the end of our meal, I explained the inconsistencies in the quality. Needless to say, I won't be back on a Tuesday, but I will be back for a proper ceviche mixto. read more

Food it's ok. Service ok. One complaint is every time I want to order a glass of wine ( Chardonnay) to enjoy my dinner. First of all, they never have the one on the menu. Never. Second of all, they always tell me the wine is warm, because they never have one in the fridge. Lastly they serve one that it's gross and probably corked. Yellow dark color and taste gross. It is so far the best Peruvian food that I tried in Southern California, in Peruvian and I living here for over 3 years, I always try to find the home flavor, and this is for sure the most closed to Peru. I tried many dishes here in different opportunities. Leche de Tigre: 10/10 is like a real Peruvian ceviche in a glass, has two option just fish or fish and shrimp, comes with canchita and Peruvian plantain chips, it is a good food size. Tacu tacu of seafood: 9/10 the tacu tacu was good but is toooo much, it's for half to eat there and half to take to go, or for 2 people, flavor was good, the seafood sauce was perfect kind of spicy but really good. Tallarines saltado : 9/10 it id a good dish, but too much soy sauce, but you can take the smoke from the meet, and is juicy, for 2 people it is so good. Chicha morada : 10/10 the best chicha morada that I tried in years! Not too sweet, it was perfect Alfajores: 5/10 here was a little disappointed, I love Peruvian desserts but in this case, my alfajores were overcooked and tasted little burn on that, usually it is not the flavor that you expect in alfajores. read more

Can I vent here for a min!? So my husband and daughter went to Micas Peruvian restaurant here in Rancho Cucamonga. They each ate a meal there at the restaurant and also got an order to go for our son. That evening it showed that the $66.56 charge was pending from our Wells Fargo bank account, this was Wednesday night around 7:30 pm. Ok so this morning when we check our account it shows that the charge actually posted for $166. 56 ?!!! So somebody gave them self an extra zero it sounds like on their $10+ tip?! Unfortunately, my husband does not have his receipt but the bank will be able I hoping to show that there was in fact a $66.56 charge pending, not $166!?? When immediately calling the restaurant yesterday we spoke to three different people who said they'd have a manager call us back, well the manager finally called and basically said oh well just dispute it with your bank?! She could have cared less about us as customers. Her response was "We have no way of tracking it back" Well first of all, they can look at the computer/orders for $66.56 and then they can look back at the date and time that they were there, so basically they're simply being lazy by handling their own mistake honest or not back on the customer which in my opinion is pretty cruddy! We've been there many times so it's pretty insulting to be honest. Just a FYI always save ur receipt double ck them! I wanted to go in in person and confront them, However, I am home sick with Covid, but once I'm cleared, I will be going in there and letting them know to their face exactly what I think about their establishment and the way they treat, honest paying customers that have been loyal to their business since the day they opened. Had Micas offered to rectify the problem I would've never come on to Yelp to blast you, but you basically insulted my husband over the phone which made matters worse and fyi how do you even know that don't have an inside job going on there were servers are adding zeros onto other peoples bills?! I want to make sure people know to check their bills when they leave your restaurant since you're not even attempting to look into the problem of how this happened to us in the first place!!! I went with a family of 5 adults, 2 children. When we got the bill, the restaurant adds a 20% 'service fee' automatically for parties of 3+, which I thought to be ridiculous. I had seen this charge at high end restaurants with party of 8+, but come on! This is a small restaurant. The service was not the best either. Not even once the server approached us to ask 'how we were enjoying our meals', or 'if we needed refills on our drinks', or 'if we would like desert'. I felt like he took our order, brought our meals and onto the next party. I didnt like the service. They barely gave us one napkin per person. We ordered seafood which was delicious, lomo saltado was dry and green pesto spagueti didnt have a good flavor. I dont recommend to eat 'tallarin verde' (pesto spaghetti) here. You will be disappointed. I'm the type of person who likes to provide tips usually 25%, but today I ended up leaving 15% tip to the server (on top of the 20% service fee); even though, I wasn't satisfied.
