Giant grasshopper in catered salad

My job got catered food from here by a representative for a medical facility. Everything was going well so far in terms of their fried ravioli and chicken Parmesan. Other than the pasta being over cooked, I had no complaints really. Until I scooped some salad onto my plate and had was a few bites it. To say the least, I was horrified to find a two inch long dead grasshopper on my plate. Need I say the lettuce was not properly cleaned. My stomach as well as my coworkers churned. I will never get food from here again and will advise others to be aware.

My favorite restaurant to order catering from. My store has been ordering from michael G's for the past two years and it's always a hit! The food is delicious, the delivery service is awesome and prices are very reasonable compared to many other places so shout out to Michael G for thinking about us :)

Michael G's never disappoints! The shrimp fettuccine Alfredo was some of the best I have ever had; absolutely outstanding! The steak sandwich was amazing as well. I highly recommend their stracchiatella soup...delish!0

Michael G's is an amazing spot for affordable classic Italian dishes, pizza, salad, sandwiches, and more. Its the perfect place to order take out, but when I visited, we dined in. They served really tasty bread to dip in olive oil and we ordered a greek salad which was full of good feta to start. My entree was the Chicken Piccata with Fusilli. There was a lot of good juicy chicken and the pasta was cooked perfectly al dente. I will say the dish was a bit oily but overall super delicious. I recommend Michael G's for sure!

Service was great. I'm not really a sandwich person - it was a little too bread heavy for me, but others would probably really like it here. There are lots of sandwich options. Price for 1 sandwich is pretty high though without sides offered. The desserts looked great too though & they use high quality meat. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Overall, venue is pretty nice and quiet.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Great of an afternoon with lots of booth and seating options[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Price went up and no fountain drinks available. Tired of getting ripped off.

Sign out front says SPECIAL $6 Slice and Fountain Drink. I got handed a slice of pizza and charge $6 and change. It only didn't special price go up, they no longer have fountain drinks. No one will survive with these prices.

UPDATE TO BUSINESS OWNER RESPONSE -- Your response is full of lies. Your family member is merely trying to cover his ass. Being a teacher does not necessarily make him honest. Same for you -- you never called me back! No call came up in my call list nor did I receive a voice mail message! My Caller ID had been turned off, so that was not accurate. He never mentioned Slice. He never mentioned the baking process -- yet another defensive claim for burnt cutlets! My photos show melted cheese and burnt cutlets. Why would you even plate it? Oh, because they need to be cooked and baked through!???! I was polite simply explaining my disappointment and did say I wanted a refund which is why I wanted you to call me. I thought you should know how the burnt cutlets were being defended to assist you and how your restaurant was being represented! I ordered and received last night and waited over 24 hours to post to see if I would hear from you. I never threatened anything nor had a need to since I thought I would be speaking to you. You also win the award for a bad attitude. The only thing you did right was use Slice who resolved my $26 pasta with red peppers (eggplant was missing) + tax/tip. I am not out to bash you, just stating my experience which was not good and you just made it worse. If you want to be successful, you should be open to feedback. Had been wanting to try this place after seeing so many good reviews. Darn, what a disappointment. Ordered online through their website which redirected me to the Slice App. Wanted their North End Pasta dish for pickup. Dish was to include pasta, chicken cutlets, roasted eggplant, and roasted peppers. It was ready on time. Got home and saw that the chicken cutlets were burnt. I immediately called the restaurant and the guy who answered told me that they have to be burnt to be sure they are cooked through! Total defensive move. I told him that golden brown is a good indicator, and probably best to just cook myself. ‍ I asked to have the owner call me. The guy was about to hang up without even taking my contact information. Upon hanging up, Slice texted me a feedback form. I expressed my dissatisfaction -- heck, that dish cost me $21.95 and I had included a tip! Slice was right on it. They contacted the restaurant and offered to refund me $19.95 for the chicken. So my dinner was pasta with red peppers -- it was also missing the roasted eggplant! Oh, and the owner never bothered to call me back! So be forewarned, they purposely burn their chicken cutlets. Slice saved the day, and I will never go there again. The owner never called me either. They have to burn the chicken cutlets? Good grief.

First time ordering and we're pleasantly surprised. I ordered the big guy and some mozzarella triangles My wife ordered the chicken parm. The menu is pricey however You get what you pay for . I had to double check the address , it says they are in Chelsea but this feels very North End Bostonian . Delicious and no shortcuts

It says .. sliced tomato..

Our first visit to Boston. Our first visit to North End. We used Yelp! To pick out a dinner spot…read morebased on ratings and restaurant description. Even before we got to our spot, we saw this tiny little place with an open air kitchen and a line of people almost a block long waiting to get in. My wife commented, "that's the place we should be eating....". Now our dinner wasn't bad, but truthfully, being 1/2 Sicilian, I've been eating home cooked Italian food my whole life. It takes a pretty great plate of pasta to move the needle for me. Again, the spot we picked was fine, but I kept thinking about what my wife had said earlier.... The next evening we weren't in the North End, but we found out the place everyone was waiting in line for was called The Daily Catch, and the REAL great news was they had a 2nd Waterfront location close to where we were hanging.. we snagged a table for two and had the meal we were looking for the first night. P.J. was our server and he was fucking great. Friendly, funny and honest, he made great recommendations and we were NOT disappointed. I ordered the Aolio Olio with calamari and black squid ink pasta. Absolutely amazing! My wife ordered the Scallops and Linguine in white sauce and again, it was lights out. Four days later we returned to North End - for our last day in town - and remembering the line, we decided lunch might be the safer bet to try and avoid the crowds. Imagine our surprise when we were seated by P.J., who waited on us during our first visit. As cool as their waterfront location was (it was definitely bigger), their North End spot has just got this vibe.... Now the weather was PERFECT during our lunch - sunny and in the 70's. We sat just off the street and ordered the Lobster Fra Diavolo (P.J.'s recommendation again). Again, he knocked it out of the park... and the serving for one person was more than enough for two. It was literally one of the best plates of food I've ever eaten. The Daily Catch in North end literally seats 22 guests and is cash only. There were three staff working the tiny space, and the open air kitchen and super friendly chef (didn't get his name) all added to what ended up being a truly unique experience. This place is no joke. If you're in Boston, and you want fresh and delicious Italian seafood... look no further.

On our itinerary was to do The Freedom Trail and have some pasta for dinner though I wasn't sure where. It turned out that we wandered through North End which had some incredible ambience so I decided we would eat an early dinner at The Daily Catch since it was a small place and due to the amount of people out and about. Fortunately we got in within minutes of waiting. My family wasn't exactly hungry but we ordered the black pasta aglio olio and the black pasta Alfredo. Given the small restaurant / just a few tables, the kitchen was highly efficient and brought the food out quick. It was fun to watch our dinner cooked as we were seated next to the kitchen. The aglio olio is something I could eat regularly. The ground calamari was unique and it was loaded with sautéed garlic. The best! I probably wouldn't order the Alfredo again personally but the kids liked it. Overall a great experience on a hot day. We were in and out fairly quick. Service was solid.

I didn't mind that much since it was actually pretty tight and cozy so it actually brought up the energy I think. We already had reservations, so we received a fairly quickly, and the white stuff were very professional and courteous. The food did not disappoint. The calamari came out fresh and hot. Crispy and the banana peppers gave it just the right heat. The marinara sauce paired well with it. The Lobster Fra Diavolo was done in a cute heart shaped, so that was delightful. Lobster was done perfectly and the slightly spicy sauce of the pasta paired beautifully. My favorite was actually the marsala. The Fusilli was done perfectly al dente and soaked in that delicious sauce that was flavorful and clung so well to the pasta. The chicken breast was well marinated and super tender and juicy. Honestly, I wouldn't hesitate to order this again next time.

Unfortunately, the customer service during our second visit was a complete disappointment. We arrived around 5:00 p.m., and the restaurant was only about half full. From the start, the service from an older waitress was rude enough that we almost walked out. I had forgotten my reading glasses at home and was having trouble reading the small print on the menu, so I looked at the menu displayed on the wall instead. The waitress suddenly took the menu from our table and repeatedly pointed to the paper menu, insisting that I use it instead. I explained that I couldn't see the small print, and only then did she drop the issue. When our food arrived, it felt like it was simply dropped on the table with no warmth or courtesy. We also witnessed another waitress respond to a customer who was unsure where they were seated by saying loudly, "Do we need to put up directions?!" in a sarcastic and embarrassing tone. It's unfortunate because the food is genuinely very good. However, no meal is worth being treated this way. There are many great Italian restaurants in Boston, and next time we visit, we'll be choosing one of them.
