AAA sent me to this body shop to repair my vehicle and the person in charge of making the estimate named John, always had a nasty attitude, unwilling to help us. As soon as he saw the vehicle he said, we do not fix salvaged cars, however I'll make the estimate but we'll not fix it. IF I COULD GIVE 50 STARS I WOULD!!! First a little background for context. I am someone who truly appreciates professionals in their perspective industries. As a professional and a car enthusiast, I am very particular about who works on my cars. I recently purchased a 2020 Mercedes AMG GT63. For those of you who know, its quite an expensive car. While out on an exotic car drive with about 100 other owners I found myself behind a McLaren that was throwing rocks and debris into my car. Within 20 min my car had suffered what would later be determined to be 38k in damage. My car needed new paint on my hood, Lft and rt fenders, all four doors, front and rear bumpers. I had to have all my trim around the doors and roof replaced as well as both headlights, front grill, front bumper and my windshield suffered a 10" crack. Needless to say I've had better days. I've known Jeff the owner since I was 15 and I'm now 53. I've always known him be be a perfectionist and one who believes if your going to do something, do it right and be the best. It's clear from the other reviews he's walking the walk. Admittedly I am a self proclaimed perfectionist and I was a little nervous because my car is a metallic black which i thought would be a very difficult color to match. Not for these guys! To say my color is perfect is an understatement. The quality of my paints finish is absolutely STUNNING, it's literally like glass. Much more beautiful than the factory finish. Throughout the entire repair process I was kept up to date and I always knew what was going on. I was always given realistic time frames so my expectations were more than met and managed appropriately. If your someone that likes the best of the best and appreciates a true professional organization, look no further. I came to Michael J's after I was side swiped in my 2018 Subaru Impreza. I am insured with AAA and so was the person who hit me. I decided on this location at 4th and Gish because it is a AAA approved shop. This was second time here. They worked on my 2014 Toyota Corolla a few years ago and did a great job. I had scheduled an estimate for my car with a different repair shop, but that repair shop wasn't able to give me an estimate until much later, so i decided to call Michael J's and they did the estimate the day after the accident. I did have to wait about 3 weeks for an appointment to drop off my car for repairs, but given my previous positive experience, i knew it was worth waiting. John was my estimator and contact person during the process. He was very accommodating. I was scheduled to drop off my car on the same day of my early morning flight, but John mentioned i could drop off the car and keys at the shop the day prior. I received text updates from Michael J's during the repair process, which was nice. My car was done on the day that it was scheduled. They even washed it and shined the tires (since you aren't able to wash it for a few weeks after repairs/paint job). They did a great job color matching the white pearl color on the car. So, I drove my car through a Shell gas station car-wash and the car-wash ripped my satellite antenna right off. I went to Michael J's Body Shop and the ladies at the Body Shop helped me fill out forms and set up an appointment in a weeks time due to a high volume of cars being fixed. They assigned me with a estimator, Vivi Cardenas who walked through the procedure of getting my car antenna repaired. Vivi was awesome, clear communicator, super nice and she really knows her work well. A week later, I brought in my car and they fixed it the same day. The three times I visited Michael J's Body Shop, everyone working there was super friendly, in a good mood and seemed like everyone really enjoyed working at the shop.
