I've been to a couple Michaels and this store seems to be under staffed every time I visit. If you have a question, consider yourself lucky if you see a soul walking by. It's really sad when you call a business and never get your question answered. I called this place today to ask if they had a certain product and was put on hold for more than 15 minutes. A person then returned to the phone and thought I was another customer. I patiently told her what I was waiting for and that I had already been waiting for 15 minutes. I was then put on hold again. I really don't think these people actually try to look up the product or go see if it is on the shelf because they are just too lazy. They just put you on hold and leave you there for the next lazy person to pick up the phone. I eventually hung up after waiting another 5 minutes and called back and asked for a Manager who didn't even bother to apologize for her incompetent customer service agents answering the phone after I explained what had happen. It's a shame when something so easy can't even be accomplished because no one gives a damn about their job or the reputation of the business. If I was corporate I would fire the whole sorry lot. Visiting this store location is even worse when you have to wait forever for someone to help you get something that is behind a damn Alcatraz cage and checking out takes forever and a day because you only have two cashiers who are checking people out and doing returns at the same time for about 50 customers standing in line. I'd rather drive 20 miles for a decent Michaels with better service. read more

I like Michaels. This was my first visit to this location. Everytime I go to Michaels I feel "crafty." I am giving 5 stars for customer service. The employees were real helpful especially the cashier Trifari. She was very friendly and provided EXCELLENT customer service. I will return to this location. read more

Three stars because they have everything you're looking for and more. The craft possibilities are endless if you have plenty of imagination. Where it lacks is in speedy register service, there is always a long line with only one or two people working the lines. Also, because the store feels crowded and just walking in makes me feel a little uneasy. I had trouble finding an item and there was someone that was able to help me out, she was really nice, in no rush to help me, and had high energy. My most visited Michaels location since it opened. 4 stars only because the line is always long with only 2 cashiers. But then again, i think all michaels have the same issue. If only I could spend all day, everyday crafting!!! This Michaels is the closest one to the westside (I don't count SaMo location because no one in their right mind would CHOOSE to go there. Unless they're not claustrophobic/don't have a fear of falling objects. And the Inglewood store shut down). The only major issue I have with this place is staffing. There is NEVER anyone in the frame department, and it seems like the staff on the floor are legitimately trying to hide from customers. I went looking for some specific frames once and waited almost 30 minutes for an associate. And still didn't get helped. The store is pretty big-yet the aisles are super narrow-and the if the shelves aren't a bit of a mess, they're still usually stocked. Note that if you see something you want on the website, not every Michaels actually carries the item in-store. Also, make sure you use the bathroom before coming to this location because you're probably not gettin in. Unless you're waiting by the door, not knowing whether or not it's even occupied or standing in at least a 20 minute checkout line to get a sales associate to open it-just save yourself the trouble. I had a dress that the dry cleaners could not clean. Just a regular spandex polyester blend maxi.. The lady omg she was so nice and like 4 of her associates. She helped me find all kinds of fabric paint, dye, and even helped me try it out. I was in the craft room working it out. I'm so pleased with my experience. I will definitely go back there. For sure. I'm so embarrasses but I completely forgot her name. But it was yeasterday around 4pm-6pm. She helped me...she said it was now "personal" and was dedicated to helping me resolve my fashion disaster. Now I just had the worst class experience at Michael's and I signed up online for a class that said 10 to 12 which I thought was a two hour class and it turned out to be more of a 15 minute session once you get started. So I get there at 10 the slime instructor didn't get to the class until 1015am there was a proximally 20 kids, eight chairs, nine tables and out of the nine tables 4 tables were for the slime class they also had another classes going on in the same class (smh) so while we were doing our class they had an art class going at the same time with us. The second class that was in our class made a very difficult to hear. I think Michaels should have been set up before we came I thought that my kids were going to be able to mix up the slime they self. I mean everything in the class was all wrong. I will not be taking another class at Michael's thanks but no thanks they need to get more organize and prepare before you have over 20 children come to a class. I'll never order online again! I placed a large order and the charge went through immediately. Later in day day there were 2 additional charges on my account. When I called corporate I was told that the additional charges were "pending authorization charges" in case my original card didn't work. Which make no sense since it's the same card. I explained there was no mention of these additional charges when I placed my order. All the girl could say was "I understand your frustration" and "the pending authorization charges charges usually get reversed in 4-5 bussiness days. I asked to speak with a supervisor and was placed on hold for 34 minutes. I hung up and called back again only to be placed on hold for another 45 minutes. Then I called Michael's store and the manager told me there's was nothing she could do. I called my bank and filed a dispite. I am so disgusted with Michael's unacceptable online business practices. Also, corporate is definitely not in Texas. Out sourcing definitely being done. From now on I'll stick with Jerry's Artarama or Blicks. Michael is not worth my money any longer. read more

Sent duplicate order rather than cancelling when request was to expedite shipping. Customer service promised to cancel slow order. I was in the store on 11/11/16 for a couple hours before I eventually needed the restroom. "OMG!" I wish I could have spared myself the horror! Outhouses were cleaner and definitely more sanitary than the Michael's ladies restroom. The handicap stall looked vandalized. The toilet paper dispenser was ripped from the wall and the individual trash can inside was flipped over with everything spilling out of it. The second stall didn't have seat covers but it did have #2 on the floor in plain site! The 1st stall had urine all over the seat which an employee so graciously left behind as I walked in! The entire floor was a combination of dirt and water and the one trash bin below the paper towel dispenser was covered with trash. The sinks were a dirty combo of gray, black and white. And all the paint was peeling from the doors obviously from people kicking their way in and not wanting to touch anything. Last but not least the cleaning schedule on the back of the door shows last cleaned on "July 16, 2016". I totally believe it! Even though I couldn't bring myself to use any of the stalls, I did take pictures of them. Hey Management, get some soap and 20 gallons of Clorox and fix that health hazard of a restroom! Better yet, call hazmat! But some of the employees are nice. read more

This is NOT I REPEAT NOT AGAINST this specific Michaels store. I ordered items which were 40% of online on August 11, 2017. It said 4 days shop to store. Two weeks went by and nothing. I can't get customer service on the phone to discuss. No updates on the shipment. NOTHING. Now the reason I'm not going to bark at the Century store is because I ordered it thru the website and the warehouse was to ship it to the store. Now I don't even know where to get a refund. The only reason I'm am giving a 3 star instead of a 5 is because the security guard is a little intense, followed me around the whole time I was in there and made comments to me about me still being there as he would walk by kinda rude and disrespectful if you ask me. Filthy and unorganize I have been to better Michaels stores. They lock up the acrylic paints and you have to ring for them to open the cabinets. Clean, organized, well-stocked store. Bigger and nicer than Hawthorne and West LA locations. I was there in the middle of a weekday so I didn't have cashier or service problems. Not sure what it's like on the weekends.
