I hadn't been to an As You Wish since I was a teenager, and honestly not much has changed other than they now have SO many pottery pieces to choose from. I also loved all of the inspo pieces around the studio because if you're anything like me, painting freehand can feel a little intimidating. I decided to keep mine neutral and simple so it's something I can actually use in my home. I think it turned out cute, but we'll see after it's fired! My daughter is 4 and this felt like the perfect age for it because she could mostly do it herself, which made it genuinely enjoyable for both of us. The only thing I wish they offered was a choice between a glossy or matte glaze. I honestly think my piece looked so pretty before the shiny glaze was added. The workshop did not occur on the scheduled weekend despite my leaving work early to participate.
