The Benedict was also delicious. The women in the group ordered various omelets and pancakes. A few ordered the fruit bowl with a side of eggs. The bowls were filled with fruit. It is for me. I will usually tip even at lunch 25% for good service but when the management is forcing me to pay 18%, whether the service is good or not, then that's what I'm going to pay. Management is not doing their wait staff any favors. I took a star off for that. As far as the food, I was pleasantly surprised. I had fried green tomatoes and the fish and chips. My niece had a smash burger. She says hers was excellent. The fried green tomatoes were literally the best I've ever had. Which is saying a lot because I love this appetizer and will usually order it in any southern restaurant. The fish and chips were also good but not great. The fish was tender, and the breading was crispy and not too soggy, but it was not perfectly crispy. The french fries were lacking in flavor and chewy. But basically the food was good and the service was satisfactory but not great. But I will be back to try other items on the menu -/ if you're setting the bar for an 18% tip then that saves the customers a lot of money when they would usually do 25 to 30%. When I see this in a restaurant, it tells me that the management does not want to dip in their profits to give their employees health insurance, but depends on the customer to do it for them.

I specifically asked for a small salad with meatballs because I just wanted something light. Instead, a large salad was brought to the table. I immediately mentioned it to our server, explaining that I had ordered the small salad because I wouldn't be able to finish a large one. She said she would adjust it. About 15 minutes later, the meatballs arrived, and they were almost impossible to eat. They were so tough that I couldn't even cut them with my knife. At one point, I was literally pounding on one with my fork against the plate because it was hard as a rock. The waitress came over horrified of this experience and said she would remove it off the bill. I'm not here trying to get a free meal. I just want a good meal and something I actually ordered. The waitress did remove the meatballs from my bill, which I appreciated. However, I was still charged for the large salad even though I had ordered a small one and pointed out the mistake as soon as it arrived. I barely made a dent in it and ended up taking most of it home. Aside from the disappointing food and billing issue, we still managed to have a great evening thanks to Curtis. His energy, talent, and interaction completely changed the atmosphere and honestly saved the experience. If it hadn't been for him, my rating would have been much lower.
