They have the BEST lox bagel ever. The coffee is good too. I usually order the blended vanilla latte and definitely add the syrup. The service, however, needs some work. We ordered some lattes and the barista didn't ask us if we wanted it hot or cold and it came out iced...in November. Shouldn't the default change to hot drinks in the fall and if not shouldn't you ask? read more

This places is so cute. If you are looking for a coffee with an attitude this is the spot. The cups always say something fun and their overall branding is such a vibe. The coffee is obviously great too and don't sleep on the banana bread. Service is always on point they even give you a heads up on specifics of what you're ordering like their matcha, for example, is served ceremonial style. The only thing is the drive thru can be a little tricky to navigate depending on the size of your vehicle and depending on the time of day the drive thru can get backed up into the Newport blvd traffic which is not ideal and no fault of theirs. read more

Maybe it's what I ordered or time of day (3:40pm), but the food wasn't that great. The bagel tasted a bit stale, and the matcha with whole milk tasted grainy. The vibes are fun, but the food was disappointing for me. read more

Amazing - service was impeccable, super sweet staff who were incredibly patient while we read thru the menu and asked a bunch of questions (in the drive thru). The girl was helpful, friendly, great attitude. The drink was a seasonal one back in July with a mint leaf on top (should be on main menu it was so good). Avocado toast was also 10/10. read more

Nothing bad to say about this place. I'm familiar with Dose Coffee located a few streets south of this location. I've always dreamed of a really good coffee shop trading over this old run down Java to go drive through building off the 55. I even dreamed Id come up on some money to open something myself because it's such a money making real estate spot. Everyone heading north will see the sign, the colors and catch the mfn vibe. Brilliant that someone with a strong brand saw the vision and stepped in to meet the needs of us bougie taste, lovers of the drive thru experience. I got the CBD matcha. Not on the menu. The strawberry creme on the Matcha was delicious. I did lavender syrup the second time and that way nice too. The root beer elixir is interesting. It isn't bad but it's one of those things you can't stop drinking despite it having a very weird flavor profile. Im a matcha girl whenever I go to coffee shops but I've heard all the coffee drinks are amazing. NOTHING else to say really. It's a great place to go and feel a little uplifted through the aesthetic experience and legal drugs. Thankful it opened! read more

Loved this place! I went on a busy afternoon, took about 10 minutes to get my drink from when I pulled in (3 cars ahead of me). I absolutely love the theme and the staff made my experience so enjoyable. Everyone had a great attitude and was very friendly, service alone was awesome but so was my drink!! The pink flamingo is comparable to a strawberry acai refresher w/ lemonade 2x blended from Starbucks, but microdose does an ASTRONOMICALLY better job than Starbucks on this drink. I am absolutely OBSESSED. My husband and I stumbled upon Micro Dose by chance driving nearby for an early morning appointment, and we were absolutely delighted by our experience. The aesthetic of the shop is a given (absolutely brilliant branding), but we were also blown away by the quality of the drinks and the amazing customer service. All of the employees we interacted with were so warm and friendly, and the drinks were absolutely delicious. We got the Goldie latte and a Mary Matcha (I subbed rose syrup for the lavender). Both of the drinks were perfectly, lightly sweetened and the quality of both the espresso and matcha was really darn good. I am absolutely obsessed with the combination of their matcha with the rose syrup. I also love that they have the option of raw almond milk. Unfortunately, we do not live nearby, but any time we are back in Costa Mesa, we will be sure to come back. read more

Spotted a pink coffee stand and we knew we had to stop by! We got the Mary matcha and the basic bitch vanilla latte. Their signature matcha latte came with house made lavender syrup and raw almond milk, highly recommend. The basic bitch is an iced vanilla latte with just the right amount of sweetness at half sweet. I ain't gonna lie, I came in here w low expectations because I'm an avid coffee connoisseur and I've been to one too many "pretty" coffee shops with nasty coffee and thought this would be one of them but THIS PLACE SMACKSSSS. I got their blended espresso drink which came with oatmilk which was refreshing, energizing, but also not too sweet which I LOVED, and they truly cared about making sure my banana bread if I needed it for allergens or not which is huge because I do struggle with autoimmune sensitivities and most places don't care. If I lived closer, you guys would have my account number, routing number, my first born child, because I still think of you everyday. I love you, Coffee Dose. read more

This little drive through spot has great coffee!! It's so cute with its pink aesthetic on the small shop and the coffee is actually tasty. I went on a Friday morning around 9:30am and it wasn't too busy, the line went by quick and I got service from my window by a service worker with an iPad/payment device. I can see sometimes the line of cars gets long into the street because there isn't a lot of room for many cars to drive through and wait. I got "the thicky thicc" which is an americano with their housemate sweet cream. It was perfect not overly sweet and 100p rich coffee flavor. read more

The place has a cute and cheeky vibe. The staff was incredibly friendly and cool. I paid $5.50 for the coffee and left a $1.00 tip, so my total was $6.50. They didn't ask for the size, so I assume it was either one-size cups or a small, as it couldn't have been any larger. Their cups are charming, matching the cute vibe. Once again, Dose has done it! The local coffee shop chain has now added a delightful drive thru called Micro Dose. Look for the bright pink building on the corner Newport Blvd and 19th street. As soon as we arrived, we were greeted by the friendliest "vibe dealer" who happily skated up to our car. She pointed out the specials offered at this location. I decided to try The Quickie - a blended vanilla latte. Meanwhile, my daughter went for The Goldie, the classic Dose drink made of turmeric, cinnamon, vanilla bean, espresso, and oat milk. My blended drink was so delicious that my daughter kept taking sips of it. We'll definitely be returning to try the other specialty items soon. Keep up the great work, Dose! We love you! read more

LOVE the coffee, the cups and the cute pink building! -Ordered the Cereal Killer twice now and it was perfection on both occasions. -Coworker ordered the Witch's Brew and raved about it. -Employee was friendly and upbeat in the drive-thru If you happen to be there during a rush the drive thru situation is horrible and you'll be sitting out on Newport getting honked at. The employees did their best to get people through the line and on their way, I don't feel like I was waiting long. Knocked one star for the price on the cereal killer, bit steep IMO but I'd go back and I'd order it again. Also joined the rewards program and haven't seen my points after 2 visits so that's a bummer. read more

I'm so annoyed this place has opened up! It's literally taking my money left and right. I will have to start a budget on coffee thanks this place ....ughhh...... on another note. If you're still spending $6 at Starbucks, what are you doing ??!! This place right here has BETTER coffee for the same price. The employees are very friendly, the decor and slogans are easily the most eye catching I've seen, and did I mention is has a drive-thru?! Right before entering the 55 fwy, this location is awesome for getting a cup of Joe and heading to work. Anyways, if you're planning on coming here, you have been warned . read more

She told me that I must not have ordered it since they ask at the register if I want foam with brittle. Explained they didn't ask. Instead she just said "sorry I'll let them know for next time". And walked away leaving me with my drink as is. Didn't offer any sort of resolution. I walked in and asked they could charge me extra for the foam. The same girl with the attitude remade my drink and handed it to me. No thank you, no sorry, nothing. First time experiencing this kind of service. Not sure if the girl is new but saw someone else share a similar experience couple days ago. Wish I would have asked for her name!

The donuts were really fresh and hot when we got them. My wife loves the butter and salt one and it's absolutely perfect! The saltiness balances out with the richness and sweetness. I also ordered the golden hour grey, which was the seasonal flavor, and it was really unique. It was citrusy and light. Sidecar is definitely in it's own league and its tough to find other donuts to really compete with them. The store was pretty small with very limited seating at this location so it's more of a grab and go type of location. It's not too far from the beach though. Service was really efficient. Even if there was a line, it goes by quite quickly. It's worth it anyways!

Parking can also be tight here during peak hours as there is also a great ramen spot in the same complex. Other than that, good spot for catching up, studying, or popping in.
