Okay, so I first took my car to get the brakes "inspected" to Brake Team over in the K-Mart garage. I was quoted $445.00 and was told I needed new front rotors and a pads all around (along with other things). I said I wanted a second opinion and called a friend who recommended Midas. Boy, am I glad I did! The Midas folks said my front rotors could be resurfaced and did not need to be replaced. Their estimate came in around $273.00. This was a HUGE difference. Incredible experience all around. Recently brought my 2014 Toyota FJ Cruiser into Portland Toyota for routine scheduled maintenance, they said I needed about $750 of additional brake & fluid services. I brought my FJ over to Midas Beaverton to get a 2nd opinion and they told me they would charge only HALF of what Toyota quoted, for the same exact services, so I left my FJ with them to do the work. Patrick called an hour later after they completed their full (and included) multi-point inspection, he told me I did NOT need these services done for at least 6-12 more months. I did have them flush & fill my power steering fluid = quick and inexpensive, but overall they saved me hundreds. I went to Midas just before Christmas break, due to the fact that I thought my muffler needed to be replaced, the reason being is that my car sounds like an airplane taking off sometimes. It turned out that my muffler was fine, but I did need a hose replaced in my car and instead of just saying that's what we found the technician had me come out showed me what was going on with the hose and explained to me what the hose was for. Definitely recommend going there for getting your car serviced. read more

I have gone to them twice and for oil changes occasionally when I had my other car. They have actually never let me down and struck me as very honest and fair. They pointed out exactly what was wrong, physically showing me, and giving me a fair, yet slightly higher than I wanted to pay quote. All in all I haven't been to them often enough to really start nuthugging them, but they have done me no wrong. Based on others reviews of this shop it seems a good place to have your auto work done. If my car was more of a piece of junk and they fixed it more often I might be like Woohoo, as good as it gets but I am not there yet. read more

The car repair industry gets a bad rap due to either untalented or faux mechanics. Took my car in to Midas with a serious issue - they were swift in getting it fixed and back on the road for a reasonable price. A while later, the repair failed. Even though they could have turned me away or further charge me, they stuck to their values and re-repaired immediately and got me back on the road again without further expense. Pulled my F 250 work truck out of the ford Dealership and brought it here for a second look over Ford was going to charge me $4000 for repairs which I wasn't expecting. The Midas guys gave a second look over the truck for me and they gave me there honest opinion on what should be done. They came up with a $1000 dollars of repair. I saved $3000 .. I have been a customer since 2008. The employees at this Midas treat me like family. It's terrific to drive away from a mechanic knowing that your safety has been prioritized. I have experienced friendliness, honesty, precise and efficient work, and even been told how I can get some parts in a less expensive way. There was a brief interval when I drove a questionable Volkswagen Golf, otherwise I've had Hondas. With the VW, friends told me I should go to a VW exclusive mechanic and I did. After multiple problems with two different VW mechanics, I took the car to Midas and was told it was extremely unsafe. Work was done and the car was replaced. Another time I made a point to call the regional manager for Midas and leave a voicemail about how much I appreciated this mechanic and how I always felt cared for by all their staff. There have been many services Midas has done without charge for me as "extras." When you have a big bill, this is always appreciated! I only recently remembered I could Yelp! I have a Midas closer to where I live on the Eastside, but I continue to patronize Midas in Beaverton because they treat me so well. I have been taking our cars here for the past two years. Great front desk customer service (every single time) and rates have been very reasonable. Honestly, they've finished early on my repairs or assessments each time. A place that tells you that something DOESN'T need to be changed or fixed is a great sign and they've offered that up a few times. I had purchased HID bulbs online and needed help replacing them on my 2005 Toyota Prius, as I was having a difficult time doing it on my own. Once again this shop has done an amazing job! They are so trustworthy and easy to work with! They explain all work in an understanding manner and I wouldn't trust anyone else! had a good experience in regard to the work back in october 2017. there is a problem over a supposed rebate we were supposed to receive. it was delayed, jan 19, 2018-update: the franchise owner for midas store personally sent me a letter of apology for the delay. that never happens! i was thrilled with his concern. he sent me a check for the rebate amount, & now i am a friggin happy customer again. thanks midas! read more

We have been coming here for years. Lonnie has always been very forthright. Dealerships' service departments make commissions and as such perform unnecessary work. I always feel like I might be getting shafted by those dealerships. Lonnie has saved me a lot of money by being honest when I got his estimate compared to the dealership. Recently, we brought our Acura in because the brakes were squealing. He said the rotors had a ridge which he repaired very reasonably and saved us a future trip by replacing brake pads under warranty even though they had 50% of life left. Booked appt online....easy peasy ...to have brakes inspected. On check-in, John, was warm and professional. He explained what he and his Midas colleagues would be doing to diagnose the problem. I got a call from Eric about 3 hrs later with a comprehensive overview of what they had found and their recommended solutions. While brake work is never cheap, the feeling of confidence in our vehicle is priceless. I authorized recommended repairs. Got a call about 430pm to say our vehicle was ready. My check engine light, VSC light and Off Track light all came on at once. I didn't know what any of that meant so I took it over to Beaverton Midas to look at. They took a look at things and told me it was safe to drive for a little while until I could bring the car in at my convenience to look at in more detail. They told me it was probably going to cost between $50-$100 for the inspection and I was fine with that and left my car with them for the afternoon. I got a call soon after that it was just a loose vacuum hose and I could pick up my car and that there would not even be any charge either. These guys have shown over and over again through all the years I've been coming to them that they are not out to take advantage of a girl who knows nothing about a car engine. This is an ethical and caring car shop that any female can feel comfortable going to and know they won't get taken advantage of. read more
