The 1st time I thought all went well, until when he had the car delivered, on the receipt was stamped 6 mos warranty! Well, after I authorized him to repair the transmission....he said that he would give me a 1 year warranty. When I asked him about the 6 mos warranty stamp, he said "no worries they made a mistake....I will honor 1 year." I paid him $3,200 for the job. WHO in their right mind would agree to only a 6 mos warranty after paying that much?! So, the car ran well for about 7 months, then transmission went out. I called him, and had the car towed back over there. He said that " you know it's out of warranty, but I will see what I can do". So now he forgets about what he initially told me! So, he kept my car for another 6 mos......dodging all of my calls, and making up B.S. excuses about why my car wasn't ready! When I got the car back he told me that he would not give me a new warranty! The car ran for another few months....then transmission went out again! Smh SAVE YOUR MONEY AND TIME! I went to the shop and was greeted by Ben who was very friendly and was able to give a detailed diagnostic of my car. I even received a break down of what my car needed along with cost for each service. Not only were there pictures but also videos of what's wrong with the car explaining how that affects the car. My car needed to remove and replace the serpentine belt tensioner and idler pulley and everything was done by the end of the day. Aways great service. . . Until this last visit. It's time to do the brakes again and get an engine analyst for blue smoke coming from the exhaust. * The brake job was completed. o The brakes failed within 20 miles. The vehicle was towed back to Harvey's and repaired. It has been four days now and seems to be OK. * The analysis on the engine. o I was told the smoke is probably due to rings and/or valve seats. Well, Duh! I already knew that. o They did not pull plugs or do a compression check, or anything else that I am aware of. Tried to sell me on a used or crate engine. o A waste of two hundred bucks for an analysis that didn't happen. * What they couldn't explain is why the dash cam was disconnected. o It records the driver and audio, so... your guess is as good as mine. This is the first time in thirty years that I felt I was at a "Fast Charlie's Repair Shop". Definitely not the Harvey's I am used to.
