Took my Lexus RX330 in for an oil change on 6/13 and today when I drove it to work my fender liner ripped off. They had to remove the liner to get to the oil pan/filter and failed to mount it back properly. These car shops are frustrating and offer such poor service. I would say avoid them all and take your car to the dealer of you want a peace of mind. Now I have to take my car to the dealer to replace the liner which will cost a pretty penny.... read more

Pete is as nice a guy as they come, and he never tries to push me for anything my car doesn't need. He explains anything I may not understand thoroughly and without sounding condescending. I first went when needing my breaks fixed, and I went because they were better priced than many other places. Okay so my serpentine belt went out on my Ford. It's a $25 to $30 part. I can install it myself but I didn't have the time (it takes about 2.5 hours and I have work today and class right after) so I took it here so they could work on it while I was at work. They charged me $200! That's unbelievable! That basically means they charged $170 to $175 to install it which is just nuts. On the good side, they were extremely friendly and had it completed very quickly. Overall I'd say I love to be treated better and pay more and that was the case here. The manager that "Patty K." refers to in her post no longer works there and it is under new management. Again, they were very friendly but grossly overpriced and attempted quite a bit to "up sell" me on things I didn't really need. Good thing I know my car! Hope this helps everyone! read more

I took my 2007 vehicle in for a State Inspection, and they said they needed to do $2500 of repairs in order for it to pass -- but the items they mentioned made no sense. We were not experiencing any of the symptoms mentioned. So I took it to a repair shop highly recommended by a close friend the next day, and the vehicle passed Inspection without issue. DO NOT GET SERVICE HERE: Had front brake service done at this location in December and everything seemed to be fine, I had no complaints about the service. Recently, 8 months later, I went back because I was hearing an odd sound while braking and decided to bring my car back in since Midas service/parts come with a warranty but needed a lug nut key so I made a stop at a nearby dealership. While the dealership was refitting my tires with a new set they gave the car a free maintenance check and the head of the repairs department came back with the same diagnosis that I received from the Midas manager; but also told me that the front brakes look years old not a couple of months and that either they never performed the service or did so with used parts. When I asked the manager for a refund he outright refused saying the repairs manager was wrong and that he would not be giving me a refund. Learn from my mistake go to one of the other 5 repair shops on the block and avoid this location. PS this location and the one on NW highway are owned by the same person avoid them both. read more

This has got to be the most unsanitary place ever. The workers do not put carpet covers in you car nor do they wash their dang hands before getting in your vehicle. This dude juicy sneezed on his hands while my car keys are in his hands....omg gross!! I don't expect a body shop to be eat of the floor clean but can I at least get you to wash your greasy hands or wear some gloves before getting in my car?!?! I don't think that's too much to ask?!? Also, they have got to be the most unfriendly people here. Excuse me for attempting to call around for a better price than what you quoted me!!! I went here about a month ago to get my state inspection done. I was happy at the time of service but almost as soon as I left the place (maybe 5 minutes later) my check engine light came on. I had declined all sorts of things that they had said that my car needed because I wasn't in a spot financially to have them done and it seemed like Randolph was very understanding. He even tried to "talk" to me about personal problems because he said he knew what it was like to struggle...well, I finally go and get my car checked at the dealership a month later when I saved enough money to go get it diagnosed ($100 just to do so) and I told them about how my check engine light came on and that I was suspicious that Midas may have done something to it in order for me to go back and get all the services they said that I needed. Do you want to know what they found? They found that the MAS wasn't connected! So it seems to me that they checked my car, wanted to make more money but I declined, so then they left it loosely attached so it could come loose and make my engine light come on and then go back to them out of desperation to get it fixed. I think not! Sometimes, people who seem overly nice and concerned are not who they appear to be. Maybe that's what this Randolph guy is. He thought I was some poor stupid woman who was in a desperate place and thought he could take advantage of that. I think not! Now Randolph didn't actually touch my car to my knowledge so maybe he is the poor unsuspecting victim as well. The Tech was Wayne King. So maybe all of this was Wayne King trying to cheat me...in any sense, if this is the case, Mr Randolph, please check out your employees more clearly and hire honest people. read more

I had a coupon for an oil change so I thought I'd try it out as my normal guy can be pretty pricy. The Manager, Randolph, is fantastic. And they do a full inspection on the car to let you know what else might be wrong. I had a feeling I needed new brake pads and sure enough, I did. They had all tires off and showed me every pad and explained the maximum I could do, as well as the minimum. Randolph spent time with me going over various costs estimates and was very honest. And explained everything in great detail I spent a bit more than I planned on having just gone in for an oil change, but I'm really grateful to them. And Randolph has a stash of coupons he applies to various services. He also gave me a free oil change for my next visit! I highly recommend these guys - really top notch. read more

Not friendly at all. I drove to this location because of the great reviews and expected at least decent service. I arrived at 10am and there was only one person there. The guy in charge barely acknowledged me while on the phone and wouldn't give me a clear estimated time the car would be ready. I am the only person here, needing a simple tire change ($420), and more than two hours later, still not ready. This place is not for me. I went in for a simple inspection and saw just how unscrupulous they were. I had just had an inspection 2 months prior in Tennessee and had to register my car in Texas. My car isn't new, but I've maintained it well. The "manager" Randolph told me that I had an issue that caused me to fail inspection, but the could fix it for nearly $650. I asked what the issue was and he could provide no real issue. He called in the "inspector" who said I had a brake fluid leak, but could not show me any fluid or moisture at all. I'm no mechanic, but I know enough to tell they were shady. I left and went 1/2 mile up Preston and got it done at Firestone with no issues or wait! Those people are crooks and I can just imagine how many unsuspecting people they con into unneeded work! I called the corporate office and was issued a refund and a formal written apology when I threatened to take my paperwork from them and Firestone to the better business bureau! Watch out people, don't get scammed! I only gave 1 star because there isn't a negative one! read more

She was given a fair price and timely service for several items that needed to be fixed so it would pass TX inspection. She was shown the worn out parts so she could visibly see what needed to be repaired. We both feel confident that they know what they're doing and they do not gouge their customers. I first visited this location a couple of years ago, and a wonderful mechanic welded my muffler bracket for $50. I was ecstatic and starting using this shop for oil changes and state inspections. They told me I should get my brake pads changed - there was no rush - and so earlier this year I did so. I made an appointment ahead of time, and went to WFH. My car wasn't done until about 30 minutes after closing time; they worked on others since I wasn't waiting. I had to take it back a few weeks later because my brakes sounded terrible. They recut them and off I went. After about 6 or 8 weeks, my car started making a noise, that sounded like it was coming from the front wheel. I finally made the time this past week to take it back and see if they would check it out. They did, and showed me I needed new front rotors. The new manager/owner came by and introduced himself, and I explained the history. He replaced the rotors and brake pads for no charge, and my car is running like new. I'm so grateful that he did the right thing and was fair. I'll be back and can confidently recommend them. read more

Talking about first rate customer service! Wow...I am a picky sales person so I do recognize excellent service when I rarely see it. Randolph was absolutely the example of excellent customer service that one reads about in sales and marketing books and hear it in conferences on how to get your customers to comeback with referrals. What an experience people!!! I cannot say enough to do justice to the top notch greeting, coffee offering, even an invitation to check the work they did. I have never heard or seen anything like that and god knows how many interactions I had with all kind of repair/oil change and fancy dealership employees. This one (Randolph) tops all of them. I went there this morning to get an oil change and check on a back tire that the dealership said needed to be replaced because of a nail and could not be repaired. Well ...Well what a chock! There was no nail...Randolph and his colleague went through the 4 tires inch by inch and could not find it! He even invited me to look with them because I had an incredulous look...nothing! Bye bye dealership. They just 2 customers for the price of one (my spouse). So thank you Randolph and keep that smile. You are the man! read more

WOW, the reviews for this location are great, that's why I came, and I have seen why, the manager named "Randolph" is awesome!! A One man Show, he is the best thing since sliced bread when it come to customer service & automotive in the same sentence!! I have never met any one like this guy, if you really want some one you can trust go to see him! He was very honest & full of knowledge; He showed me whats going on with the vehicle,he explained in detail what my options were, what those options would mean to me & what I could expect with each option.He even found a recall on my car that affected my safety. The recall had to do with one of things I wanted him to check out ....how cool is that .?Note recalls are free repairs at the dealership! (CLASS A), all the way!!! As I waited for the other repairs, I watched & listened to him talk & handle his other customer's the same way & I have to say.... I never seen so many customers praise someone at an auto repair shop so much...he truly has his customers trusted confidence!!
