I've had nothing but bad experiences with them. They over charge and ever time I took my car to them I had to take it back. My last incident was with my truck had to take it back 3 times and finally I refused to let that one get on my truck so they suggested I take it to a different one on 7340 N Blackstone which it took more days but that's fine I just wanted my truck fixed correctly and they got the job done ! Thank you very much. I didn't have my truck for 2 weeks and they didn't want to compensate Me in any way I had already paid $500 toward my card ahead of time because I thought my truck was fixed. I have given this review a fair amount of thought. At first I was just gonna leave it. But, something like this happened to me before and it ended up costing me my engine. I even shared that story with the technicians to emphasize my reluctance to let others work on my car. They got me in fairly quickly for not having an appointment. I got checked in and wandered over to walmart to kill some time. When I returned, my car was on the rack, in the air. I settled in to let them finish. After a fairly long period, they called another place regarding my oil filter that had been ordered and not delivered. Turned out it had been delivered to a different shop. I told the guys, I get it.. thats not their fault. They explained that I had a leak in my rear shocks and offered to fix them for about $500. I declined at the time, because I always get a second opinion on things that are not drop dead obvious. They had also removed my filters to show me and ask if I wanted them to change them out. I again declined. Their fee was not too high, but I can do it myself for less so declined. Eventually, my oil filter arrived and they finished up. At this point I was fairly happy with my experience. The price was fair and the people were nice enough. This is why they are getting 2 stars. Fast forward to the next day. I notice oil leaks in my drive way (enclosed pic). My car has not had any leaks and it was the only vehicle parked in that spot. I asked my parents mobile repair guy to take a look at my shocks (that second opinion I mentioned) and investigate a possible oil leak. The man crawled under my car and quickly started exclaiming that they had only hand tightened my drain plug and had not applied a seal. He was pretty mad because he was aware of the issues I'd had previously and knows I commute about 400 miles a week for work. He was very concerned the plug could have dropped out while on the 41 between Lemoore and Kettlemen, it would have been devestating. He also inspected the shocks and I kid you not, I could see the red rising up his neck. He told me my shocks were just fine. He said there was some dry mud from a puddle and that was all. I've never seen a car person get so mad. He then went over the rest of my car and discovered my battery terminals were encrusted with corrosion. The pic I'm enclosing was after 2 rounds of industrial strength cleaner was applied. He sat me down and told me how disgusted he was. He said it was obvious to him that they did a half ass job on my oil change and that the ramifications of what could have happened if the drain plug disengaged while I was driving. He pointed out that trying to get me to "fix" my perfectly fine shocks was a cheap move and upset him because he felt they were trying to take advantage of a female customer. I have debated on if I should write this or not.. and in the end, the terror I felt when my engine seized in the fast lane of a busy freeway spurred me to action. I would absolutely hate myself if I kept quiet and found out it happened to someone else and they endednup in a major accident. read more

So far the staff is pretty friendly. Especially the guy who was helping me behind the desk. I wish I had got his name but after he left for the day some other workers came in telling me the tire on my truck can't be rotated due to "fear of stripping the lug nuts." I figured at the beginning they would have said something instead of waiting until it's the end of the oil change. Lack of communication possibly or maybe a rush to get out of work? They kept my car 3 days and didn't fix it. They made it worse. It was over heating after 20 to 30 minutes when I took it in and when I picked it up it was overheating in 3 minutes. They said they drained my radiator but I personally drained it and alot of gunk came out showing me they didn't drain it. They were guessing over and over what it was. I wasn't the only customer that was unhappy when I got there the second day some people were yelling and saying Midas made it worse. They couldn't even drive the vehicle. read more

Dropped my car off on Wednesday for a check engine light diagnostic. I was told it would be done Thursday and diagnostic would be $75. I was called the next day and informed they still can't figure it out but it'll be $165 now. They said they only have one mechanic. (Yet when he called he said he had 3 sets of eyes on my car, hmmm) Thursday passes, no call at the end of the day. Friday comes. I call them, they respond they don't know yet, we only have one guy here. Well I went over there to find my car parked hood down not in their service area. I saw at least 4 mechanics and 3 cars being worked on. None of which were mine. These guys do not care about your car, or you. They won't be fair, and they will overcharge you. Would not recommend they did a half ass job on my oil change because the next day I was having car issues. I had my bf take a look at it and he found lose caps and once he tightened them my car was fine. Would absolutely not ever go back even if they were the last place on earth to take my car for any car issues. Also I paid $80 bucks for my oil change which is usually $45 at the dealership, when I inquired why they said those were just the rules for the type of car I had. Let me just start off by saying I have worked in the automotive business before. I no longer work in the field because of the things I'm about to discuss. First, the manager (Bernardo) is as bad as the last one. Actually, he is more unprofessional. He talks about the customers and cusses up a storm when he thinks no one is listening. Plus, he tries to oversell services that are not needed. I overheard his conversation, I don't know if he knew I was around or not. Like I've said I've been in this business and I know how this game works. If he tries to talk you into buying hundreds or thousands of dollars in parts or services, get a second opinion. I had some issues with my car's brakes and some engine weirdness. I had made the appointment same day and was informed they wouldn't be able to complete it until the following day. I left it overnight and they did a diagnostic, drove it multiple times, checked levels of fluids, pretty much the works. Daniel was really communicative with me and helpful. He listened and took it seriously and took my suggestion into account. He was awesome! All of the inspections were free as well - BONUS! I am happy to have gone here; I felt heard and welcomed. I would give 0 stars if possible. I went for an oil change and on my way home I started to hear a noise from the bottom of my car. They didn't screw the bottom panel back on and it was dragging as I was driving along the freeway. When I called to let them know what was going on they wanted me to get it towed back so they could take a look at it. I had to consult the Automotive Bureau of Repair because Midas will make you think that you need all this stuff done to your car when you don't. Through the Bureau I discovered that I was overcharged for oil that my car could not hold and I paid for them to perform a service on my car that I had just had done somewhere else. At the time I didn't realize that I was paying for a service I had just got because they called it a different name and when I asked they told me it wasn't the same service. If you are a woman even the female repair technicians and managers can't be trusted. Midas gets a minus rating from me. Midas doesn't deserve 1 star. read more

Upon reading the reviews for this Midas location, it appears we are the third customer to sustain body damage to our vehicle when visiting this location for a tire repair within the past year. On 10/5/20, we brought our vehicle to this location for a tire repair . Upon completion of the service, the pictured body damage was noted. Before leaving the premises, store manager Armando was notified but denied damaging the vehicle . He told us he would report the matter to the district manager, Brian who would contact us but has failed to do so. Armando will not provide us with Brian's phone number. We then filed a claim with Midas customer service who will do nothing to remedy the damage. We then escalated the matter to Midas Corporate( TBC Corporations) and spoke with Fernando Doria who is unresponsive as well. We have now reported the claim to our insurance company who will seek all possible legal remedy on our behalf. I would avoid this establishment at all costs unless you want to spend several weeks dealing with a company who will not take responsibility for their incompetence yet has a clear pattern of damaging vehicles in their care. I would avoid any TBC owned corporation such as Big O Tires as they have the same lack of disregard for customer's vehicles. read more

Great place. At first I was apprehensive because I'm a woman and I know so little about cars. But they were open on a Saturday after 2 pm so they were a lifesaver. They offered to do a diagnostic test for 99.99 or free if they couldn't figure out what was wrong with my car. The place I got towed to charged me $149. Sadly, they did figure out what was wrong with my car. They reduced the price for me, maybe because I was crying. The engine had no compression- my 09 Toyota Camry was done. I had to buy a new car sadly. They let me keep the car there for a couple days. And when I came with my new car they helped me empty it out. They were very fair. read more

Update 11/1 I spoke with Ray Rodriguez again, this time he told me they don't think the damage to the door was done by them basically calling me a liar. I informed him that that was very offensive to me and he was rude and said we did all we are going to do. I told him I have date and time stamped photos of the car in front of their business with the damage and he still reiterated that they did all they are going to do. Took my 2005 ford ranger in for basic rear brake repair as pads were worn out (drum brakes). What a nightmare. Thus far two trips in, $650 spent, 7 hours invested. They really struggled on first attempt, only one tech there, he left at 5 and job not done, left front desk guy (Eric) there to try and complete the job. Drum wouldn't mount onto hub. He finally got it in place. I arrived there at 1 and was out after 6. After driving a couple days I heard noise coming from right rear brake ( the one they struggled with), and I noticed the right rear drum was too hot to touch. Left rear drum not too hot. So back I go to the shop. Finally, they got parts that might work. We'll see. Fire extinguisher now standard gear and at the ready. Based on this experience I would not recommend Midas for big jobs, ok for oil change but probably better off going to an expert for something like brakes. read more

Jose, Vic, and Dustin saved me today!!!! I was on the 99N when I hit a tire and my whole kick plate collapsed. I managed to temporarily fix it enough to make it to this Midas. Jose the manager was kind enough to take a look for me "on the house". I though I was in big trouble because all of the clips had broken and it was a mess. They were able to repair it for my safe journey back to Los Angeles. They are an amazing crew they worked together to figure out how to fix a complete disaster and they did. Have tried more than once.. 1. Tires replaced. Even with applying for the Midas card and getting rebate, it was still $100+ more than Costco tires. Tires also had to be patched 1 week later (may have been something I ran over but strange it happened so soon) 2. Car leaking and coolant empty. Midas said it would be $125 to fully diagnose, but from their quick look quoted $1300 in repairs. I decided to have family do it instead. Went to Autozone to buy parts. After helping me find the parts, Daniel at Autozone freely offers to take a look at the car. After his free inspection, where he talked me through everything, he said it really only needs a new seal on the coolant cap. The radiator, hoses, and thermostat that Midas said needed to be replaced were all completely fine. 3. Employee/managers at Midas have had large arguments/disagreements right in the window/office in front of customers. Take it to the back. read more

I went in simply for the fixing of my ac unit. I dropped my car off at 9 am and didn't receive it back until closing. I was notified at 430 pm they broke my compression pin. Then at 5 pm at closing time they told me I wouldn't be able to take my car. They showed me a huge oil spill and said " this just happened ". They said they needed another 2 grand to fix what they couldn't readily identify. My car was leaking when I took it in and if it was why didn't they say anything until 5pm. The owner isn't knowledgeable and it seems the mechanics are running the show. They were passive when telling me about costs and are clearly overcharging me. I took pictures and will be speaking to my lawyer. I went in for one thing and now they are holding my car saying I must pay for multiple damages that didn't occur until I brought the vehicle into the shop. I would not suggest anybody to go to this particular Midas for any type of services. There's a lot of fraudulent activity going on. They do not honor prices or coupons online for their location. They recommend services that are not needed and you will leave with your car in worse shape you brought it in. I came in for 4 new tires I was quoted 339.00 bucks on line I get their they tried to charge over 100 bucks in taxes and when I addressed it the guy went in a adjusted it to the price quoted and then tell me my serpentine belt I ask to see the belt after they replaced it there were no cracks in the belt. Then I sent someone else there to get tired they charged them 800 bucks for the same tires. I will never return there again. read more

Went in today for an oil change and they got it done very quickly. I was worried they would try to upsell me for a lot of added costs, but instead they gave me a couple forms that showed me exactly what I should be checking on according to the dealership. Terrible place. Went in for routine oil change and they got an industrial type nail stuck in my tire. Refused to acknowledge that it was not there before but immediately after. This caused my tire to blow out on the freeway before I had a chance to get it replaced because I needed to get to work. They put me and my family in danger.
