We had our breaks repaired here many months ago. They did a good job. Came back today and had our back breaks and AC, thermostat serviced. The bill was $630+ and I asked if they would match other Midas coupons or online coupons, the guy (Adrian I believe, but don't quote me on name) was quite arrogant & waived it off as if what I asked for was so out of the ordinary. He belittled Groupon, while the other Midas around towns offered it. Also forewarning, the cost of the parts may be fair, the labor charges are quite high. $43.50 break pads will cost you $200 with labor. We'll be sure to go to other Midas or Firestone for our next service. The 3 Stars is for the attitude & price gauging. read more

We ended up running over a parking curb while visiting Vegas. The exhaust system had had damage as a result. The people were extremely polite and and they fixed it the day I called. The repair only required realigning and rebolting the exhaust and the price was within the typical shop rate for auto repair shops. They could have easily sold rwplacement parts to increase the cost and their profit but they didnt. They explained in good detail what happened and what they had to do for repairs. It was good to find an honest shop and ones that managed to fit us in time to meet our travel schedule. read more

This location is pretty cool, the manager's name is Marc. I called 1st before going in, because I had a coupon (Oil Change 21.95) um the dealership charged me $83.26 for the same service I received today at midas. I was told that it would take a hour to complete, it only took 20mins. This location is walking distance from my house, so I will definitely be coming back to this location. On 1/23, I contacted the 10177 W. Charleston location in the morning to schedule an appointment for later that afternoon. I went online, as I was traveling, and I received a response that I will hear from them within one business hour. That was at 11:34am and I'm still waiting. I wanted to use Midas because I had a coupon, and since I had an appointment near E. Tropicana, I decided to drop by and see if they could get me in for an oil change. Bart was great! It was 9:30 and he told me to come back at 10:30 and he would definitely get my car in. Sure enough, when I came back Mike got me in at 10:30, they started working on my car. I even got to go into the shop area and see the work they were doing. I loved that as I understand how cars work and always want to make sure they know what they are doing! Shawn was great at explaining what was going on and showing me my fluid levels. And all I wanted was an oil change and my tires rotated! I really appreciated all they did. Mike was great as well. I didn't feel pressured into purchasing or doing any further services other than what I wanted. I highly recommend THIS Midas store and I will be back. I had an AC issue and was quoted a $2000-$2500 fix. This was during the summer of 2013 in Las Vegas, NV in approximately 105 degrees Fahrenheit weather. I'm not a car expert but I also not a car idiot. I've always had a clear idea of what my issue was and was low refrigerant and AC compressor issue where cold air isn't coming out. Somehow I got a quote that's not worth my time for a repair since I can get a used car for that price. After declining to do job so that I can think over longer, the price for AC checkup went up to regular price vs my coupon price. ($14.99 instead of $9.99) I didn't say anything because my car was still connected to the machine and was weary if they might do something shady. Note: During my time waiting, there was an mother and her children trying to go home that came in complaining about paying a big job for the AC fix that didn't work. (Probably $2500) This was one reason for my skepticism. After finishing my Vegas trip where I drove my car, I eventually had to explain my problem with the dealer. (Toyota) All I needed was a AC recharge and a new AC compressor since the previous one was consistently clicking. Job was finish in one day for under $250. Be careful of up sells and don't make a rash decision if doesn't feel right. (Example: Blackjack, hit on 20 with a 6 showing.) Note: I finished my Vegas trip with no AC. Harsh reality check of how lucky we are that someone invented AC especially in a car operating in hot weather. read more

Not good at all! Legitimately tried to charge me as much as the Mercedes Dealership does for a full dealer inspection just to visually look at the engine from underneath. Rang a week prior to see if I needed an appointment. They said NO. I told them everything about my car, year/make /model and the issues I was having they said they would put it up and take a look underneath for free. I told them about the guard plate underneath they said they know the car and it was all fine. I called and told them I was on my way today and confirmed they could look at my car and said I could be there in 10minutes. There was 1 manager and one mechanic that I could see. The manager told me they didn't have time to look at my car! He then said it wasn't free either and would cost me $50 to even just put it up to look at it because it has a plate underneath. (BTW Goodyear do a full inspection for $14.95). Labor costs at this Midas according to the prices they gave me are 5x more expensive than Goodyear and more expensive than the Mercedes Dealership! This place went from agreeing to look at the engine to see what repairs needed to be done to me turning up them seeing me and then them trying to rip me off. I snatched my keys back and walked out. I do not recommend this place in particular for anything! read more

It's a quickie place and a chain, but I like this location because it's less crowded, I never feel like I'm getting scammed, and there's a bar in the same shopping center so I can wait it out there (and not in the waiting room). Plus, Midas always keeps sending me coupons. All in all, way nicer staff here than at other Midas places. And you can just walk-in sans appointment and get taken care of ASAP (practically unheard of at other Midas locations). read more

My truck overheated coming into Vegas from Ventura, Ca. late on a Saturday afternoon.I had to be back Monday for an important meeting first thing. I called and spoke to Bart. I explained the symptoms and the situation snd he assured me that he could fix the issue. They assessed it quickly and went to work. While waiting they even offered me some bbq'd chicken they had made! The repairs took them well past working hours and they stayed late to fix it. It's always anxiety inducing when you take in your car for repairs, because you just have the feeling that you'll be cheated. Not here... On December 11, 2018 when in to get my 2015 VW Jetta repaired. It's a manual transmission, however could not switch gears any more due to the clutch pedal being stuck to the floor. Was pleasantly surprised by how reasonable the price was to fix it and the turnaround time as well. Drove no more than 24 hours after I picked it up, and had the same issue I originally when in for. Got it towed back to them, since the shop was already closed, I decided to leave the car in the parking lot for them. First thing in the morning, obviously noticing my car, received a call from Adrian. I explained the issue, and he got right on it. Got a call back around 4 pm, Adrian explained the part was faulty, apologies like 20 times, and promised to have it ready by the next day. So I picked up, and as promised. I took this long to write the review so I can make sure there would be no more issues. So needless to say I could not have been more happy with the entire staff of this midas. The fact, that they took ownership of the problem and not blame it on others, is very few business do now days. I definitely would recommend this place to everyone! read more

I came in for an oil change. Also my check engine light was on. Mechanic informed me that my radiator was leaking and hoses need to be replaced too. What is odd is I do not have a spec of liquid on my driveway. Estimated $1500 to fix. Went to a different mechanic and it turned out to be emissions leak. Diagnostic, parts, labor cost me $288. Do not go to Midas Tropicana. This is a dishonest establishment. read more
