DO NOT COME HERE! So I decided to get my oil change here since the logo reads "trust the Midas touch". I have a high end car so I have to be picky about where I get my car serviced. I came her at the end of 2012 and again in 2013. I checked my oil Sunday and had very little oil but Midas is closed on Sundays. I went to my local valvoline drive thru locations and long story short, my oil filter had not been changed since 2012. How do I know this? The oil filter has a serial number that matched the serial number for the oil filter in 2012, not 2013. Valvoline literally pulled my oil filter out in pieces, it was completely disintegrated! Ived contacted the Better Business Bureau, who knows what damage this had caused to my motor! I am so angry, you can't trust anyone! At least at valvoline you are able to stay in your car and you can see the parts being changed right in front of you. read more

They don't even deserve the one star. As a rule of thumb, I always go by yelp ratings, but for some reason I didn't listen to my instinct. I just wanted to check my brakes, no probIems. Unbelievable, they lied to my face, according to them everything possible needed replacing. Leaking Calipers the whole 9 yards. I suspected that they would be ripping off a female, and on top of it they said that it would cost $860. I drive my car over 50miles a day and the first thing they said was that my car was extremely dangerous to drive. Preposterous! So I went to Pepe's for a second inspection/opinion and they said there was nothing wrong at all. I'm going to complain to BBB because they blatantly tried to rip me off and not just that, they loosened the drums on the back wheels, to make the car undrivable and felt very unsafe. Because of this, I cancelled my work shift for 2 days to buy me time to repair. They obviously tampered with the car so I would return to them for repair. Good news is that the other auto place adjusted it for me, so now it's back to normal. DON'T waste your time! SCUM! They come across as nice and friendly but they're just after your cash. read more

This place is terrible. They told me on the phone they had no appointments available for oil change. When I went as a walk in, there were 3 or 4 workers standing around doing absolutely nothing. The guy told me synthetic oil change is $88, then quick quoted me $130 when I told him I drove a Volkswagen?! Insane prices, I think they just like ripping people off. read more

These guys are your typical con artist auto mechanics. They all do the same thing: you come in for an oil change, they call you while doing the oil change and inform you of about a million and a half things that are wrong with your car, and try and convince you to replace everything. THIS IS BS. Chances are nothing is wrong with your car, and if it is, they are probably overcharging you for it. I heard them doing this to some poor lady as soon as I walked through the door and she unknowingly agreed to have the work done. But that is only my first complaint. Next, I brought in a coupon for an oil change for $20. They first informed me that its an extra $5 for removing the skid plate (I drive a truck). I work on my own car and know damn well that you don't need to take off the skid plate to change the oil. But anyways I couldnt be bothered to argue so I agreed. Of course 30 minutes later they call me and tell me my car takes more oil, so is going to be $35 ($10 for an extra quart). Now I may not be a mathemetician but if 5 quarts of oil and an oil filter and labor = $20, how could it be an extra $10 for 1 quart? Then they tried lying to me saying it was special synthetic blend unique to their shop and I just called bs on them and picked up my truck. Definitely not planning on going back, even if it is the only shop by USC. Women/people who know nothing about cars: be warned, shops like this will almost always try and rip you off, so check the price of parts beforehand. read more

Recently came in for some help with a friend's car, and Juan was so incredibly gracious and explained everything. I've never written a review before, but I felt inclined after my visit. Experienced amazing customer service- expectations exceeded! I was going to get an oil change, but they showed me the car's current oil, and explained how/why it was still good. Although I didn't need the oil change, they still checked fluids and the car! There are people out there who could've been dishonest, but Juan and his team were so wonderful and had integrity! This place is quite funny. So I had someone bring my Nissan Cube here for an oil change and tire rotation from a coupon. They start off by wanting to charge me an extra $5 because it is a SUV?! Lol. It's a micro car that is half the size of a normal car and a tiny engine. Anyways, I agree just because I need an oil change. Then they tell me my car is too low. Really? A SUV that is too low to get an oil change? They said they need a pit like jiffy lube and it wont go up on a lift. I get this car serviced all the time. I'm not actually sure what happened. I purchased a groupon for 2 oil changes here. And the 1st time, they completely did not put the oil cap back on , and oil was spilling everything where. I totally agree with the comments below. I went in and asked for something that would have cost me $500. They took my car for about a half hour and called me and told me I didn't need that to be done. They have always been nice and I highly recommend them to anyone. When you bring your car in, they call you within an hour to let you know what they saw on the car and what work they think you should get done. If you say no, there is no pressure. They always go above and beyond and I hope I can find a car place as good as this when I move from LA in a few weeks. read more

I come here for routine checkups and random repairs for my 2011 Nissan Xterra and they always do an excellent job. Martin is very helpful and knowledgable, but most of all honest. This shop is a place you can go and know that you aren't going to get sold a part you don't need, which is really nice for a change. If you live in LA, this is the place to take your ride. read more

Took my car here because I had a nail in a tire. They told me it wasn't patchable and that, because it's a 4 wheel drive, I would need a completely new set of tires. Had 'em put the spare on and took it over to Atlantic Tire on Fairfax. Well they were right, it wasn't patchable...because the nail never punctured the tire. It wasn't even leaking. read more

I have had both of my cars in here to have the air conditioning repaired and they both came out working like new. They also installed new tires on both and stand behind there work. A valet parking attendant noticed that I had a screw in my tire so I called up the guys at Midas and they said to bring it right in. They checked it out and the screw did not do any damage so they checked the pressure in all four tires and sent me on my way no charge. read more

Sign up for their coupons online or the oil change plus will cost almost double! You can get it for $19.99 with the coupon which isn't bad for a chain like this. They do a through check of all maintenance and required service. So that way you know what parts to buy from autozone and how to price check for labor. Ask for john, he's very pleasant and professional. They don't post their prices so pay attention to the quote before you authorize the work. Don't bother waiting there for your car to be services, it takes 2-3 hours. read more

Changed rack & pinion, they forgot to align the truck. After 3 months of driving my front tires were un evenly worn out. They never owned up to mistake, never apologized, and never offered to replace my tires with the original tires they messed up (Michelin). They gave me (Cooper), plus the manager calls me and acks like he did me a favor. We ended up yelling at each other. My advice, stay and make sure they complete job. Horrible! I warn you to stay away from this place. I had work done about 10 months ago, but was having issues so went back a few weeks ago. Midas told me I needed 4 New Tires... I told them I just purchased 4 new tires from YOU not even a year ago and the car only had 6,000 miles on it since the purchase. ARE YOU KIDDING ME! Went here after a long patronage of the Beverly HIlls Midas franchise. I found this location to be better across the board-- easier to get an appointment, cleaner waiting room, faster turnaround time, friendlier staff. Granted, I was just getting an oil change (although they also swapped out some brake lights for me). It may be different for repairs, but I just thought this place was head-and-shoulders better than the Beverly Hills location. Only drawback: Fox News on the waiting room TV. Ugh. But I just put on my headphones and tuned it out. And the work was done quickly, so I didn't have to wait long. read more

Went here to fix a flat and they went above and beyond to fix it as well as the other tires on my car for a very good price.

Not very pleased with my experiences here. They tried to convince me to pay an extra $150 to fix something that was working...and has continued to work fine for over a year now. On another occasion they told me i would need to spend almost $2000 to fix something that could "potentially lead to catastrophic failure and cause an accident or total the car" - I sensed a bit if aggressive salesmanship and scare tactics, so I took it out for 2nd and 3rd opinions and both mechanics had ZERO idea what Midas was talking about and found nothing wrong. read more

One on my front tire went flat due to the pot holes, I pulled into Midas on Figueroa, I pulled in and asked could I get some air for my front tire. I was told by Angel that I had to wait so I said ok, but after 10mins in the pouring rain I realized that I was totally ignored by Angel who refused to give his last name left me standing there without no regard. All I need was some air in my front tire. I went into the office and asked for the office manager and that when Angel said (I TOLD YOU TO WAIT AND THAT'S WHAT I MEANT) I replied how long would take to put air in my tire!! He was the only not working on a car! at that point I started to video the encounter to show how he totally Discrimination against me being a Black Female. I wanted to see what what another Midas location would charge me because I shop, so I contacted this store for comparison. They gave me a price of over $700 for the same equipment. I am not well versed in the mechanical aspects of cars, so I was initially skeptical about all of the costs..etc. Angel was a HUGE help and explained everything impeccably. Probably my least favorite experience and I was never serviced. I was given a time to come in initially and was told that it would be fine to come at that time. I arrived at the agreed time and was told that the appointment was never put in the system. Fine... so I agree to come back instead of letting them keep my car for 5 hours. When I come back I'm told that I should've told them it was a fleet car for service because only the manager can approve those. I asked could he reach his manager by phone and was told he'd been trying to reach them all day. All I got was a sorry. Two stars for the lack of customer service and respect of time. This place is absolutely great for all car service. I've gotten my oil changed and minor car service done here multiple times. Great service for Cheap! :) Employees are friendly and are great at explaining to you what is wrong / why they suggest a certain service. Ken is the man! I had a problem with my accelerator sticking and he diagnosed it in 3 minutes in the parking lot, fixed it quickly with some Carburetor cleaner and then I was on my way. Awesome job. If you come into this place with a friendly attitude they will return the kindness. I had a flat tire from a nail and the guy was nice enough to change it in the parking lot and patch the flat for free. People here are great. Service is awesome. read more

When I approached shop the employees in the garage looked up at me and then turned away. I had to enter garage to let them know I had an appointment and was told to go into the office. I was never greeted and the employees made no effort to help me. I walked into the office and I was ignored there too. I walked up to the counter and had to get there attention. I told them I had an appointment and was told to wait. As I stood at the counter for close to 10 mins I was finally asked for my name. He looked up my appointment and said that he couldn't help me because his air conditioning machine wasn't working. Sounds to me like this shop preferred to turn me away as they didn't ask me any questions to know what problem my car AC has. I was definitely not in for an AC refill. I can do that on my own. I made an appointment over a week in advance due to my hectic schedule and this shop made no effort to assist me. If there AC machine "isn't" working they could've had the courtesy to notify me in advance or forward my appointment to another shop but they simply didn't care. I doubt that this is the companies image of what a great experience is considered and I am truly disappointed that I had to waste my time to only be treated so horribly. read more

So I brought my car back here after they fixed it a couple days ago they turns out they didn't do the alignment on my car they claim that they did the best they could and that their alignment machines printer was broken and that they couldn't print it out so today I give my car back to the manager and he takes my car all the way to Marina del Rey about 30 miles round-trip who's paying for my gas this is crazy man this place is definitely needs to be fixed they need some new management read more
