I've always gone to other oil places and I wish I went to this location a long time ago. The manager is the nicest guy. They suggest certain services but don't get pushy when you chose different. They have oil at a hands reach here , everything is here to change oil super quickly & they still manage to walk around like they don't want to work here . I will never ever come here again ever . First, I called and talked to David to inquire if they can remove the nail from one of my tire. When I asked him how much it will cost me, he said "it's free". I really didn't believed him but I went ahead and brought my car. They took care of my car as soon as I walked in the office. The waiting area has a corner where kids can play. It was a big help for me because I had my 2 year old son with me at that time. Thirty to forty five minutes later, my car is done. The mechanic gave me my key with a smile, for free, no charge. I've brought my car here for oil changes, tires, and other maintenance. The guys here are no nonsense, and they get the work done in the time frame promised. While they will always tell me if a services or repair is recommended, I never feel like they're trying to sell me something I don't need, and they don't use scare tactics like some auto shops. Very happy with the work they did on my 1995 Toyota Landcruiser. I explained what was going on with my brakes (or lack of brakes). Excellent customer service. The staff is great and extremely helpful. They're trustworthy and don't try to talk you in to getting services done that you don't need. They're also very efficient and complete their work in a timely manner. They have a service shuttle that can drop you off/pick you up in local areas which makes it even more convenient. David was very polite, courteous and helpful. He's like the dad I never had (lol). I went here for an oil change. I work nearby so I just dropped off my car. The oil change was done by noon, fulfilling the ETC. They called me right away and told me that my car is ready, but there's something wrong with my brake lights. They fixed it as well and it took an extra hour. I wasn't in a hurry cause I don't leave work until after 4 pm. I just grabbed my car around 1-1:30pm during my lunch break. Free tire rotation is included in the service. The only reason why I left 1 star off is because when I got my car, the steering wheel, hand brake and shifter were dirty. These were the nicest people ever and they really didn't have to help me out at all: My husband had my oil changed at a Meineke in Sac. For some reason, I thought it was a Midas and, when I noticed my oil leaking, I called them instead. The Midas in Sac couldn't find me, but apparently the gentleman who owns that Midas also owns the one in Roseville (where we live) and he told us to go in and they would take a look and help me out (even though he couldn't find me in their system, OBVIOUSLY!). When I came in, even though we discovered I had been to a Meineke, they checked what was going on, figured out that the oil thing wasn't screwed on right or something, fixed it and DIDN'T CHARGE ME A PENNY! LONG STORY SHORT: This is my new oil change place. Also... my 7 year old really enjoyed himself playing with their Star Wars toys. read more

This review probably doesn't count, but I wanted to share my positive experience with my local Midas. I simply needed windscreen wipers replaced - it's not described in the list of things they do but Jason was kind enough to say just bring it down and we'll take care of it, no appointment nothing. They took care of it in a few minutes and didn't even want to charge me (I did still leave something for the tech who helped me). I was just taken aback with their willingness to be accommodating - and because of my experience (believe me, I was stressing about the wipers), they have found a new customer in me for any future needs. I would stay away from this shop. I brought my truck to replace the master brake solenoid, replace the power steering pump and do tire rotation. They replaced both parts but ended up messing up two of my rims by snapping off two lug nuts because they wanted to inspect the breaks. I told them they needed to fix the rims instead they went and blamed it on me because "someone righted the lug nuts too much prior". Not only that they charged an arm and a leg to replace the studs and replace the lug nuts and at the end when they were done and I paid for everything since I didn't want to sit there and argue they "forgot to mention" that they never got to the rotation part (i had to point that out myself when I saw my tires were not rotated, even though they charged me for it) also they noticed the power steering they installed was making louder noises than the old one but they decide not to mention anything until I had to call them back. read more

I specifically came to this Midas location because my family has been served well here for 15 years. I was visiting my dad in my very first car over Christmas, and it was terribly damaged by a horrible, reckless towing company! I was so upset, but the mechanics here carefully evaluated its condition and gave it the best possible service. And even though it was a holiday they had it all ready for me on New Year's Eve! They even drove all the way to the local Volvo dealership to make sure they had exactly the right oil cooler for my 12-year-old car, AND they took the most careful advice of the Volvo mechanics and let the seals cure for 24 hours before putting in top-of-the-line synthetic oil in it to give me the best result possible. Go somewhere else if you need an oil change! When I walked in, the receptionist who was on the phone didn't even acknowledge me with a hand gesture or anything when I walked up to her. After a couple of minutes, a guy came in and helped me instead. It took about an hour for them to finish. Also, none of the staff are wearing masks even though there is a sign on the door that masks are mandatory. The waiting area is two chairs, which I am sure are never cleaned based on the look of them. Overall, got the job done but staff aren't very friendly and definitely not a place to go to if you are worried about Covid. Won't be returning here again. read more

This is my favorite place to go to get any work done on any of my vehicles. The customer service and services are stellar. I can't say enough about this place and how great it is. I have tried several other Auto Repair places all over Rocklin Roseville and Lincoln. These guys are Top Notch and can be trusted!!!! Last week my truck Hub failed and left me stranded on the side of the freeway. I had it towed to Midas just because of the past experiences I've had with their services. They took care of everything (it was a mess) got me back on the road very quickly. Well I just took the truck back in today because my air conditioner wasn't working. They fixed it within hours and when I went to pick it up and pay they said it was on them for being such a good customer. I have been using Midas for years and their service has been fine. I leave one of my trucks for an oil change or alignment and come get it at the end of the day. No big deal as I live close. 2 weeks ago I swung by to drop off my truck for an alignment. I was told that their best guy just called in an wouldn't be in for the day and expertise is what my lifted truck needed. Although disappointed, I understood. I have a business and employees and deal with absenteeism regularly. I called last week and was told that his GF or wife (I don't recall) was going to be having a baby that day. I am growing frustrated by these circumstances but understand. I called today around noon explain what has happened for the last 2 weeks and was told that they are really very busy and won't be able to get me in. I was very upset and let the girl on the phone know. Perhaps not fair to her to be honest but who do I talk to at this point?! After I got off of the phone, my GF then proceeded to tell me that earlier in the week my mom, who lives close by tried to drop in for an oil change and was told that they were out of her type of filters (a 2002 Toyota Corolla 4cl) and would have to come back another day why not call a parts house and get them delivered?...perhaps send someone to get some? Who was in charge of stocking? What kind of "rinky dink" operation has this become? Am I being unrealistic in my expectations? I welcome commentary from this company. Tired of being disappointed. Came in with a coupon for a $25 oil change with tire rotation. They were on a 3 hour wait so the receptionist had me make an appointment for the following day. I showed her my coupon and asked if I would be able to use it and she said yes. Usually my husband changes the oil on our vehicles but I had this coupon so I thought I would take advantage of it. So I come in the next day, my total comes to $65. I asked her about my coupon and she explained my car needs full synthetic oil so it's more expensive etc. I understand that, but why didn't she tell me this the day prior? I called to ask a simple question on 10/13/21 about whether or not Midas can change the transmission fluid on my car and the women who answered the phone at the front desk was EXTREMELY RUDE, combative AND passive aggressive. She proceeded to tell me "what makes your car so special" when all I asked is if they could change my oil and transmission fluids. Very condescending in her behavior probably one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever received. She needs to be replaced her bad attitude just lost a customer and I'm sure I'm not the first. I called the Midas on 212 Harding Boulevard and they were very polite and professional obviously they have standards when it comes to their job and have employees who actually have communication skills. My second time to this location. The first time was for an oil change for my wife Mazda using my oil (Amsoil) and everything was fine. Went back today with my Toyota Tacoma, wanted to change the engine oil and filter, change the lube in the front end, rear end and transfer case along with the power steering fluid and flush the transmission. I brought all the necessary lubes (again Amsoil which I believe to be a superior product to over the counter lubes with much longer service intervals). This time they told me that they would use my oil for the engine oil change BUT I had to accept their lubes for everything else! Can't imagine why, I was willing to pay to have the services performed but they really wanted to sell me their oils. I left. I've owned this pickup since it was new, have used my own Amsoil oils and lubes (actually had them changed out at the dealership before I took delivery) since I've owned it and now have over 215,000 miles on it with no internally lubricated parts ever needing service, they aren't going to be able to sell me their oil and lubes. read more

Don't take your car here. Tried making me pay $1000.00+ for a new ignition switch. Told them I'll pass and get it towed. The worker on the phone then asked if I would be interested in selling my car to him. Took it to another shop and they only charged me $350.00. I was a loyal customer, but with the new management, I will continue to take my business elsewhere. read more

When will I ever learn. The convenience of this place is not worth the terrible service that I get every time I go there. They underestimate how long every job will take and when they go over the time, they don't have the decency to call you and let you know. If they tell you that the shuttle will pick you up in a half an hour, you might as well just double that. One time I had to run there from the gym , so that I wouldn't be late for work. I scheduled an appointment online and arrived early. The guy working at the desk asked how could he assist me and i preceded to tell him i booked online for an oil change. He seemed uncertain as to whether they could do me this service because they were busy..So what was the point in me booking this appointment. After a moment, he responded "I guess we could get you in, it'll be a while because we are kind of busy". The were quick, and reasonably priced, but the forgot to tighten the oil pan correctly so I found out - from the leak on my garage floor - just in time to leave for work that I had to get it fixed. They were nice enough, but closed early the next day for a re-model and wouldn't take my car in to fix their mistake, so when I brought it in the next afternoon they took care of it. No apology or accountability or anything. I can overlook a mistake if they business is willing to acknowledge that I had to go out of my way to have something fixed that should have been done right the first time. Ridiculous. Best describes our most recent and Final, visit to Midas on Foothills blvd in Roseville. I do not want a "PM" from them to "discuss my experience" because we already had that conversation 30 seconds before i refused to pay for some conveniently found, new problem and asked that my wife's car be returned to me. Car was brought in @ 8am Thursday for an AC inspection/refill+ oil change. We were told it would be done before noon and estimated @ $100-$200, by 1pm and no call I called them who then said he would call back. On call back, price went up $60 for full diagnosis due to refill not correcting AC problem, told they would call back soon. At 5pm and no call back, I called and was told it was now over $600 to repair. I said ok, wife needed it back ASAP and again was told it would be done by noon. The next day, by 5pm no contact from them whatsoever and I had to call. They said it was done, so I paid and wife picked her car up. She drove a quarter mile and realized the AC still didn't work. I called them immediately, no apologies given just told to bring it back tomorrow. I brought it back the next morning, waited for 2 hours and was then told it needed $400 in additional work. This is the point where I explained my unhappiness and skepticism of the entire situation and all i got was a blank stare. No apologetic attitude, not even an explanation on why it took 3 days to NOT repair the car. The suspect portion is that after refusing to pay more for some magical part, I got into the car and drove away and THE AC WAS WORKING FANTASTICALLY!!!!! One educated guess would be that when I brought it back they realized they hadn't correctly repaired it the first time and instead of admitting it, they could place blame elsewhere and make some extra $$$$. And if that wasn't the case, then bottom line is they charged me $600+, returned the car still broken while telling me it was fixed and giving me the paperwork. Apologies for the long review but it was a long inconvenience and if someone is taking my money to provide a service I expect that service, not an excuse. My wife's entire family has used this Midas for many many years, 5 cars all service/repairs. That ended today. read more

Very unhappy with my visit here today. Took my mom in to get a tune up and oil change on her car. Which included a tire rotation. Opted for the expensive high mileage oil change on top of tune up. After having the vehicle all day we picked it up. While my mom was driving away she pulled over a block away. She noticed a loose tire. Pulled up behind her and after inspection found the back tire had been put on without tightening the nuts. The Wheel and tire were loose to the touch. I went back and had the technicians come tighten the wheel. Ended up tightening 3 loose wheels. Got home and checked the oil to find the oil level on low. They had also left rags on the engine. They barely put any oil back in. Had to go back again. Asked them to fill it up with fresh oil. They agreed to lit 1/2 quart of oil in. Manager and technician didn't seem to concerned about our hassles and poor service. read more

In regards to my previous review here is an update- I am just amazed that the owner Matt would respond in such a manner on this forum in regards to my first post dated 3/6/2014. Turns out Midas had the spark plug wires for cylinders 1 & 7 crossed... This was the problem and Midas was unable to figure this out after claiming to have re-inspected the work they had done on my Durango. This was determined by referencing a Chilton Chrysler repair manual and rechecking the firing order and spark plug wiring specks... this took less than 2 minutes to figure out what Midas had screwed up on and was done by a friend of mine while I held the book for him to reference(FYI my friend and/or I are not mechanics). I have been driving my Durango since 3/16 (the day my friend and I determined the crossed wires) about 1000 miles and have had no problem at all. See the messages below that were sent to me by the owner Matt: Matt A.'s comment on your review: Chris, I understand that you are upset, however your Durango came in on a tow truck not running at all. the diagnosis led us to the two sensors and we suggested a tune up and fuel injector cleaner, none of witch would cause low compression in two cylinders. The conversation you had with Dave he told you that the only remote way that the injector cleaning could of caused low compression would be if there was so much carbon built up in your system that the carbon was acting as the compression seal and when it was clean and removed that compression was lost. This is very unlikely and even if it was the case, I fail to understand why we are responsible for lack of compression for cleaning the carbon out of your engine. Your Durango needs to have the head removed to ascertain why compression is low in the two cylinders we would be happy help you out with this. For this to happen your head would have to of been warped for a long time and your carbon build up would have to been so great that it was sealing the system. my position is what ever caused the truck to be towed in is when the head probably warped. there is absolutely no way a fuel injector service warped your head. Just amazing!! To recap- I was charged $771.23 for work on my car that was not correct, a simple recheck of the work completed would or should have revealed the simple mistake that the Midas mechanic made. At that point Midas should have switched the wires and apologized for the mistake. Instead they dug there heals in to the conclusion that the head on the engine was to blame, was "warped" and needed to be removed and repaired or replaced. Midas quoted me a price of $1,145.84 to remove and reinstall the head and a $130. out of shop estimate for repair. This was not a necessary repair and as I see it an attempt to defraud me the customer. I have Filled my claim with the Better Business Bureau(This Midas shop is not associated with the BBB so that fell on deaf ears), I have filed a claim with the Bureau of Automotive Repair (this complaint will forever stay in their file, so if you have a problem with them file one yourself, Nothing happens unless there is a pattern of complaints to the B.A.R.) I am now contacting The Midas Corporate office as I feel they should know how one of their franchise owners is interacting with a customer on a public social forum. It is completely inappropriate and gives Midas a bad name in this community. Matt & Midas West Roseville you should review how to better handle conflict resolution, this is a needed skill in dealing with the public and something you and your shop employees are lacking. A needed best practice for your shop is to re-inspect all work preformed before the car is returned to the customer. If a customer were to say something isn't right and could you please re-inspect the work preformed your shop should do so. Although you and your staff have the notion that "we don't make mistakes", this situation has proven that you are wrong. Your staff made a mistake and no one was going to admit they did or even try to make it right with the customer(me). SHAME ON YOU!! I will be telling everyone I know of this situation and strongly suggesting they find another business to have their vehicles serviced at. read more
