We've come here for breakfast a few times, and love it! It reminds me of my hometown diner in cedar city, and even smells the same I am not the biggest breakfast fan so if possible I usually order steak and eggs. The last few places we've gone, the steaks have been very poor quality. This sirloin was amazing! And for $14?! Hell yea. Not chewy, and cooked just how I like it. My boyfriend was very pleased with his pancake and omelet. He didn't leave a single bite of food on his plate lol. We will be back!

The food here is just ok. The omelette was kinda bland. The fruit was not good at all. Did not taste fresh. Service was ok... no issues The inside from all the reviews I read had my anticipation a little high. Nothing too great about it. But it was nice.

was served the best chef Salad. Fresh crisp lettuce, loaded with sliced cheese.Sliced ham sliced turkey vegetables and blue cheese. When I walked in the smell of fries hit me and gave me a craving. So I ordered some fries. The fries are a meal within themselves. Next time I will try them with cheese and not get a salad. They served me a giant plate of fried yummy shoe string potatoes. That was just way too much food because it came with one of their famous scones. And you can't pass up a scone. I ate half of everything and took the rest home for lunch the next day.

What a mistake to stop by here! Raw, undercooked and diluted. Omelette with veggies and cheese was so plain and undercooked, cheese didn't have time to melt. Hashbrowns were left untouched because it seemed like they were still frozen; half of it were just raw potatoes. Service was OK, however, still had to call few times to get attention. And don't you ever get a coffee in this place, cause I think it's just colored boiled water. No flavor at all. The interior is old American style with a nice view on the main strip. Table was served nicely and in time. Clean and neat place, what basically get the stars. Overall not even one time try place.

Food was amazing pancakes were huge and thick and they gave me a lot of bacon compared to other places our server was nice and there was no wait time even for how busy it was. And the Halloween decorations was a nice touch

Best place to have Breakfast fast service for being a first timer. Awesome!!! If you are in the area try it...

This is an old time cafe with great prices, huge portions, and no frills. And that's a not a bad thing. Service was fast, we were seated quickly, orders were taken timely and food was out quickly. Although their lunch and dinner menus should have enough for everyone, it looked like breakfast their specialty. We were there for lunch though, but we'd come back for breakfast after seeing what everyone else was ordering. The tenders were... Tender, and crispy. Fries were plentiful, definitely not cooked from frozen and very good. My wife had no complaints on the salad and mashed potatoes, especially when it came to the price. Yes, I'll be back.

For a Blue Collar diner this is a five star blue collar diner. Huge portions, fast services, and blue collar diner food. Don't know why anyone would mark them down, you know going in there its a working mans café, and they serve great working mans food, FIVE STAR WORKING MANS FOOD! read more

This place is a nice diner, greasy-spoon, type place. The service is good and they food is tasty. The Prime Rib was surprisingly good. I would never expect that in a place like this. I don't care fo salmon but my husband and MIL tasted it and said it was good. It wasn't seasoned much but just a nice fresh piece of fish. The salad is basic but also comes with a macaroni/tuna salad on the side - yumm - like mom used to make. They serve these scones .... I never saw a scone like this. It looks more like fry bread to me but who cares??!!! You fry me a piece of dough cover it in honey butter and I am in love. read more

I can't believe the reviews?? WOW! My first time there. Had breakfast with group. I had made reservations for 10 and got their early. My table was already set up. I was concerned because of the 9am start time. No worries!!! Everyone was seated. Coffee and or water as guest arrived. Orders were taken. A variety of the menu was ordered. They came our quick, HOTl and fast. Place is clean and friendly. Highly recommend. Full plates!! Great food value. read more

If they have the Chile Verde breakfast special when you go, please don't waist your time. A few pieces of pork stewed in canned enchilada sauce isn't Chile Verde. Everyone else used common sense and went for the standards and everyone else was content. The waitress was great, she had a great sense of humor and it was contagious and put us in a great mood. The place is probably exactly the same as it was 40 years ago but its clean. I'm sure I'll be back to give it another try I just ordered wrong. read more

Food is decent. It's your typical diner food, nothing really wrong with that. I like that they gave me a pickle and lettuce on the side to go with my French dip sandwich. But the service was curt and not necessarily friendly. I felt rushed a bit, and the smell of the place was pretty gross, like old hotel smell. Also, it was a couple dollars too expensive for the quality of food you get. I probably won't be back to eat here again. read more

I stopped here upon the recommendation of some friends who live in the area, and what a treat! It's exactly what you'd want in a diner: breakfast and lunch menu, good prices, walls covered with photos and memorabilia that support the theme. I got the Foreman's breakfast and it arrived on a plate the size of a platter. I got the choice of ham, bacon, sausage or a chicken breast as my protein, which was kind of cool. The food is tasty and the portion is amazing for the price. They also have these things called scones that are actually fried dough they serve with honey butter sauce. Delicious and unique! Found the longest hair in our fries the other day. It was literally deep fried into the fries. When we went to grab one fry, over 15 other fries were picked up because they were intertwined in this one hair. So gross. Offered to remake the fries, but we said no. Won't be coming back again. read more

Normally I love me some midvale mining company but today's experience was subpar. There was a hair in my sausage patty. And when brought to my server's attention she took it off the check but provided no other discount. In addition I ordered the south of the border which is supposed to be chile verde over hash browns. However, when it came out it was red. It tasted like chili cheese fries with pork. It was good but not what I expected or wanted. Needless to say I will not be returning to Miners anytime soon. read more

Friendly, fast service, but the food made me sad. My boyfriend and I came here for breakfast and got an omelet and the "lite" breakfast. We were wondering if there's some secret food that they make extremely well that would explain why the place was so packed. Our own food was bland and more expensive than we thought it'd be, and we left feeling pretty gross. I'll probably never come here again. read more

Food was by the book and portion was generous for the price we paid. This place is nothing fancy and I believe the locals want to keep it that way. The place isn't anything like the ones we look forward to normally going to and it's just a "diner in a small town" feel kind of place. We would visit there again. read more

I always order breakfast food here. The flavor is great and the portions are enough for two to three people. The food is very American, so it is a bit greasy for someone might be watching their diet. I like that they have scones (the fried dough kind, not the European kind), but I don't think they let the dough rise before frying it up... I guess I'm old fashioned. read more

Would normally give them a higher score for food but went there today to have a Chili Verde Burrito (Green Chili... Right???) and was given a burrito with red chili sauce instead. When I asked the waitress about it she said their Chili Verde was has red sauce instead of green sauce. I asked her why they didn't just change the name to Red Chili burrito since it obviously wasn't green, she didn't have an answer...... The food was still good and the service was quick considering the restaurant was packed , but... it definitely wasn't chili Verde.... read more

Pardon my Swiss... but... holy shit. This may not be the fanciest place in the most amazing city in the world? But you cannot deny the amazing flavor that comes from good 'ol, home cook'n methods. My favorite part of eating here is the size of portion and the cheerful staff. There is a couple waiting staff that are a little surly, but give 'em a smile and bat your eyes and they give you the treatment of a life time. Meet the Business Owner: Chris H.

Chris has owned Midvale Mining Cafe since 1985. He knows that hard work is important when running a restaurant, however he's also a family man. He's been married to his lovely wife Denise for over 30 years, and has raised 4 respectable children, all who work in social services. They learned this from their father Chris, for he instilled in his children at a young age the importance of giving back to the community. He has been a board member of the Boys and Girls club for over 20 years, is involved with many other charities, and has been inducted into the Midvale Hall of Fame for all he has done for the local community. Chris keeps his awards and thank yous from local non-profits in the front room of the restaurant. So come on down, take a look, and enjoy some good old fashioned home cooking!

We're staying in South Jordan and visited Bohemian Brewery in Midvale for dinner after getting checked into and dropping our bags off at our hotel. The brewery is easy to find but the entrance into the parking lot can be easier to miss. We walked inside and were seated immediately since it wasn't busy for a Thursday night. Along with some outdoor seating, additional seating can be found upstairs if it gets really busy. They have lots of alcohol choices and a massive cocktail list; their spring/summer cocktail list is available now. One cocktail they have I thought was clever was The Ghost of Burt Reynolds. We ordered a beer flight that consisted of the following beers; Cherny Bock (Czech black lager), Noble Hefeweizen (German-style Hefe), Bohemian Weiss (unfiltered wheat lager), and Viennese Amber (malty amber lager). Out of all these, my favorites were the Noble Hefeweizen and the Viennese Amber beers. For food, I got the Margherita pizza and my LTP got the Reuben sandwich with fries on the side. My LTP, on the other hand, who ALWAYS finishes everything on his plate, was the complete opposite. He could only finish one part of his sandwich and half his fries before deciding to take it back with him. I really enjoyed the European-style feel of this place. The interior is very similar to that of a ski lodge, complete with a fireplace in the downstairs dining area. I would love to come back to Bohemian Brewery during our next trip to Utah.

The servers were fantastic, attentive and friendly. Booths were comfortable and they had larger tables for groups . Will be back soon to try more of the menu .

I get the same time every time. Spicy mcChicken add cheese and add tomato. It seems it's the hardest thing to do to add those two simple things to my sandwich. The only thing you do right is charge me for it. How rude. How sad. How pathetic is it to not be able to add to my sandwich what you charge me for. You even add the sticker to my sandwich. This has been my favorite spot post covid. Today we did takeout and it was horrible. My roast beef tasted old and my mashed potatoes were definitely boxed. Even the scones were made differently. It was almost like they changed hands or this was how it always was? I never do reviews and I'm hoping it was a fluke. Here is to hoping it was a bad day. read more
