The decor is nice and elegant. I like the dark atmosphere with a table light that you can control from bright to warm tones. Luis our server was great. He had some amazing recommendations in which we tried. I had the El Beso drink but substituted the vodka for Luis's recommendation for tequila. The buzz ball in the drink is a great addition to the drink as it does change the flavor in a fun way. Be prepared as the buzz ball is a bitter but worth it. Next I had the ribeye agua chile as an appetizer based on Luis's recommendation. He checked on us quite frequently which I enjoy. I don't feel forgotten about. Between the apps and drinks, I was feeling full and just ready for dessert. I like the fact that they give you a card to review in real time for a free drink or dessert. Party of four--two of us visiting from San Antonio (so yes... we take our Mexican food seriously), and two who were honestly a little hesitant walking in because the menu isn't your typical Tex-Mex lineup. But let me tell you... by the end of the night, everyone was completely sold. We kicked things off with the shrimp aguachile verde, chips, salsa, and fresh guacamole--bright, fresh, and packed with flavor. Every bite felt intentional and elevated. For entrées, we went all in: Sonora taco, green enchiladas, bacanora tacos, and green chili cream enchiladas. Each dish had its own personality and depth--this is not your average Mexican restaurant, and that's EXACTLY what makes it so good. Service absolutely matched the food. Jasmine was incredible--warm, attentive, and genuinely engaged in making sure we had a great experience. Then manager Kevin stopped by personally to check on us, which took things to another level of hospitality. And just when we thought it couldn't get better... dessert. Kevin brought out an off-menu, down-home key lime cheesecake recipe from his mom--paired with fried ice cream--and WOW!! Easily one of the best desserts we've had in a long time. Very nice modern vibe to this restaurant. A little on the smaller size but very intimate with dim lighting. We were in on a Sunday and they live music. The our server was great, everything came out quick and he was on top of everything. The drinks are a bit on the pricey side but they don't go light on the alcohol! The shrimp ceviche was good but lacked a bit of flavor, could use more lime and salt in our opinion. The Mexico City elote was also good, but the menu described them as charbroiled and the elote was more waterlogged than charbroiled. The entrees were another story though! The Green Chile Cream Enchiladas with steak were delicious, some of the best I've ever had. The Carne Asada entree was really good as well. The steak was perfectly cooked, full of flavor and a good portion and amount of steak! The fried ice cream was phenomenal! So where do I begin? My wife and I came here on a Saturday evening for the first time. The restaurant is rather small but the ambiance is great! Our waitress Jasmine was super awesome, but let's talk about the food. So we ordered the chips and salsa, and the elote appetizer. Which was good, the chips were tasty but there were some stale ones mixed in with the fresh. We also ordered the carne asada and I ordered a mojito. The mojito had more ice and mint leaves than actual liquid. I would say it was half liquid and half mint leaves and ice, I felt robbed! Then when the carne asada arrived, it was lukewarm, dry and a little gamey. I felt this place underachieved, and I was not wowed by the food, unfortunately I cannot recommend this particular restaurant to anyone and I will not return, but the service and ambiance was really good....the kitchen and bar needs help though!! read more

I actually liked the food and the ambiance of this place, and would definitely become a regular, but if I hate something, is being taken advantage of, and I feel that happened in my first visit. No problem with food, but when we ordered drinks, we were told that they didn't have the tequila that goes with the drinks we ordered: La Berry Nice $21, and a classic margarita $17., and they asked if we minded a different tequila to go with them. We did not mind, so we said sure, and they offered if we wanted 2oz instead of 1oz, which I knew it would be extra of course, and we agreed. Well, the $21 drink turned into $46, and the $17 into $29. I just feel that this is a practice of abuse; saying that they don't have the tequila that goes with their drinks to sell you something else is stupid and makes you lose customers. read more

Highly disappointed in our experience tonight. Not because of the price of the corn elote appetizer... honestly, with the few lonely kernels of corn they gave us, I think they may be trying to conserve the national corn supply. That was probably still the highlight of the evening though. We were specifically looking for a quiet restaurant for the evening, but this place was anything but quiet. Between the noise level and the chaos, it felt less like a nice dinner and more like we accidentally walked into halftime at a football game. We also ordered shrimp, which somehow managed to be the blandest shrimp I've ever had. I didn't realize it was possible to remove every trace of flavor from seafood, but apparently it can be done. My steak, however, was so chewy my jaw started clicking like an old screen door. At one point I genuinely considered whether I was eating steak or training for a jaw-strength competition. I finally had to spit it out because apparently "medium rare" translated to "rubber tire" tonight. The fries were fine, I guess, but "fine fries" don't exactly soften the blow of a dinner bill pushing $200. Honestly, I would have rather bought a new outfit and eaten at Taco Bell. At least then I would've left full, happy, and with functioning jaw muscles. For that price, we could've fed our whole family somewhere else, had dessert, and still left happier than I did after wrestling that steak for 20 minutes. read more

We discovered this spot and it didn't disappoint. Nice decor and good vibe. The margaritas are amazing. Small and expensive but so good. They upsell on the tequila which is strange. Iykyk Enchiladas are excellent. The surf and turf is also very good. The place isn't cheap. We spent over $300 for 2 drinks each and 2 dinners but we will go back. This is by far my new favorite place! I always struggle looking for a decent Mexican spot and this easily takes the spot. It's next to Jersey mikes and it looks a bit hidden. Once you enter it feels like you transport to a different place, it has a very chill and darkish vibe. I was greeting and seated almost immediately. The hostess and our service were phenomenal. Caleb was super attentive and gave some amazing recommendations. My friend and I ordered the "me quiere o no me quiere" drink amazing presentation and even better drink. We ordered the chicharrones absolutely loved especially with the fresh tortilla. The shrimp ceviche was exactly what we were expecting and even then exceeded expectations! Lastly we tried the ribeye agua chile, it had a good flavor spicy which is always plus but we couldn't shake the fact it tasted a bit like tajin which threw up off. Regardless it was gone in minutes. We came to Miel de Agave for my brother in law's birthday. This was our first time trying this place because it is relatively new to Chandler. The ambience is pretty cool and they have a live musician which definitely livens up the atmosphere. It's a little dark but with just enough light to see the menu and your food. I had the surf and turf which included some steak, shrimp, and a little vegetable side. The food was pretty good but I wouldn't classify it as great. The service was really good. But our dishes came out one at a time. The one knock that I have is that I don't think the food is worthy of the price. read more
