Mighty Men helped me with a raccoon family that was living under my house for more than a month! Those raccoons caused me and my family so much stress and anxiety. It's not pleasant to trap a wild animal - frequently their only crime was being in the wrong place at the wrong time. We had an opossum who was in the wrong place at the wrong time. Maria and her team were empathetic to my wife & I's stress, and she acted to dispatch John who quickly came to pick up the opossum. Maria emphasized the importance of not leaving an animal in a cage longer than necessary, and called a backup technician when her primary technician was unavailable in order to respond sooner. After calling to announce himself and confirm a contactless pickup, John immediately retrieved and offered water to the opossum, and showed care to carefully load it onto the truck without causing unnecessary stress to the opossum. I am not naive to the final destination for this animal, but I am happy that Mighty Men took all reasonable measures to ensure the animal was not unduly stressed along the way. I work at Fruit and Veggie facility in South San Francisco. It is my responsibility to make sure the facility maintains strict Food Safety Rules. We discovered some critters made a home underneath a cement slap on the side of our warehouse. We have a weekly pest control service with Western Exterminator so I called them first. I had a skunk in the crawl space under my small home. I scheduled an appointment with Mighty Men. Dayan phoned me 30 minutes before arrival to give me an ETA. He set the trap and left extra bait in case I needed it. The skunk was in the trap two mornings later, but I then realized there was another skunk in the crawl space. When Dayan picked up the first skunk, he left another baited trap. The next morning I found the second skunk in the trap and called Mighty Men. Dayan arrived within an hour and a half, again phoning me 30 minutes in advance to give me an ETA. There were three visits to my home, so I paid the $165 advertised for each visit which was expected. It's been 18 months since they did a rodent exclusion and the rodents are back. I spoke with the owner and she told me they would only come out if I pay for another inspection and repairs. We had some rotted siding along our roofline. Little did we know this became the doorway to our attic for rats! It was terrible I could hear them running around in the attic at night. I messaged Might Men and they were super responsive and helpful. They even checked on us after a few days. My experience with this company has been the best and most educational experience I have had in the last 4 years with rodent/pest companies. As others have said, the staff is very responsive to calls or messages. Unlike other companies, I had no trouble reaching someone knowledgeable. Scheduling was seamless and I was able to get someone out within less than 1 week. Cory(sp) did 2 inspections in the same day for rental properties I manage and gave superb service. At both properties, he thoroughly explained everything he was going to be looking for in the inspection (and warned me when he saw a mouse in the back of the building-I am petrified of mice/rats/rodents), drew a diagram of all of the entry points, and answered all of my questions. I would have given 5 stars but the person who answered the phone initially did seem a bit distracted (sounded like they were washing dishes or cooking) and the final quotes were a bit high. read more

We have rats... Met the tech on site - right on time with an "i'm enroute" call 30 minutes before arrival. Fast, personable, and efficient. He clearly noted what needed to be done - clear pricing and reasonable. Another company recommended major work in the crawl space, but the treatment of plastic tarping the exposed dirt to prevent rats seems stupid. How would a plastic tarp stop a rat? I called Mighty Mouse Co. They sent a girl out to check my house. I had already checked out the perimeter of the house & pointed out to her my findings, & she confirmed them. Checked out my crawl space & said that she found some droppings but said there wasn't much. So the Attic & didn't seem to concern. She left & I later had a conversation w/ either the owner or some other lady & found out after talking to her she was mad that the technician took so much time at my house. When I tried to ask question She was very short with her answers like I was bothering her & why didn't I ask all my question when the technician was at my house? Than she said her ride was there & she had to go & she had spent enough time with answering my questions? Very rude. I had an apt for the following week & she was acting so rude. I got off the phone &w as like what just happened? I guess he was made at the technician for taking so long & took it out on me? Weird! So after hanging up I decide I'd call a different Company because I felt her skills dealing with a potential customer were way out of control. I canceled the apt. & thy still tried to charge me. So I called them & ask why thy charges me, being they never set traps or did any of the work. She had no answer & I ask for her to refund the charges back to my card. And she refused. Do I called my bank & they took care of it. But just today I found another charge from them? They are Crooked and I wouldn't trust this company at all. Very rude and don't know how to treat people. Had a terrible, noisy, stinky rodent infestation in the ceiling, walls and crawlspace of my house in town. Contacted owner Maria who promptly sent Uri out to the house to assess the situation. Seems we had a BIG rat problem and at first I was overwhelmed by the price quoted to effectively eradicate the critters. I made a few calls to other services and did get significantly lower quotes, but after Maria talked me through the various charges and steps needed to thoroughly complete the job and guarantee the work, I decided to stick with Might Men. I was particularly impressed with the follow-up service. MM took care of sealing off a few new entry points into the attic and garage after I discovered them a few weeks after the original job was done. They provided 2 1/2 months of weekly trap checking and removal at no charge, until there was no rat activity for 2 weeks. In the end I couldn't be more satisfied! OMG .. can I rate zero star? I have a family of raccoon living in the attic !! I made a mistake of calling them. First they charge $99 for an inspection. The guy spent 10 mins on the roof and didn't even find the raccoon entry hole. Then, they charged 400 for a one-way door. I had to climb to the roof and pointed out the raccoon entry hole to them. Then they charge 300 to place 2 cages on the property. The trap caught a possum and they charge 165 to remove it. All and all spent almost $1000 and 3 weeks ... but raccoon are still there.. there is no guarantee that they will take care of your problem .. they just want money. Run away fast !! read more

These guys are quite good to work with. I've requested a dead rodent removal and $375. Kevin did a great job and helped me identify the possible problem areas. The one thing that could've made this service better is to also have them remove droppings(sanitation service) The $375 i've paid really is to just grab the dead rat. i've would've paid extra but the company said it will have to be another person to do the job. It might be well worth the customers time if additional service was done on the spot but i guess the business calls for segmenting services to make for more revenue. i understand that part but i can foresee this type of business can easily be beat by the next guy who can provide a more convenient service. read more

Would not recommend them! Maria will give you the scare tactic: you have an infestation, you let your house go etc. $10K quote!! I called Terminex. Tech laughed when he heard that quote. He said we can take things in stages. Start with $200 qtrly visits where they spray and lay mice traps, seal a couple of holes. If that does not solve the problem, we can take it to the next stage. None of processes would cost $10,000! Terminex gives a free inspection as well instead of Might Men charging you $99! I'm impressed with the folks at Mighty Men. I called them when I discovered raccoons living under my house in Pleasant Hill. They were able to come out pretty quick. The delivered a cage with tempting treats, explained how the cage worked (in case I trapped a cat) and told me to call by 8 am if I trapped a raccoon, which I did that night. They came out the next morning by 9 am. They give you a window of a few hours and arrive within it. I had them out two more times and each time they arrived as promised. I called Mighty Men to address a rodent issue in our backyard in Emeryville, CA. They gave me a detailed estimate as soon as I called and scheduled someone to come out to place bait stations and traps the same day. They followed up regularly to inspect the bait stations and traps. After a month of their service, the rodent issue looks to be resolved, or at least greatly diminished. Mighty Men? More like Mighty Women! After working with Alameda County Vector Control, we called Mighty Men to remove raccoons that sounded like they were tearing up our attic, above the upstairs master bedroom. They weren't our first choice, but the others weren't available, and Mighty Men responded quickly. So we were a bit wary but appreciative. And desperate. We thought we had blocked all the entrances to the attic, but a clever and extremely resourceful mother raccoon and her babies move into our attic through a hole she made in our ornamental chimney, which was too high to see from the ground. A young man came promptly, and set a trap with dog food as bait. Which the raccoon ignored. For days. (A cat looked at it curiously.) The raccoons continued to party, and we pleaded with them to send someone out ASAP. Mecca, a shy diminutive young woman came that afternoon. We were skeptical, but sleep deprived. We were shocked that she was able to bring two raccoon babies down the ladder in our bedroom closet to the attic. She put them outside in a large recycling container. Then she set up a one-way "door" for the mama raccoon (who was in a different part of the attic as the babies) to exit to pick up her kits, and be gone from our lives. She moved the trap next to the babies, and refreshed the bait with some jelly(?) that raccoons like. Sure enough, mama raccoon came down to feed her kits and went for the bait. And took it -- without setting off the trap! She then took the kits away and we all lived happily ever after. Except. It turns out the mama with babies in tow went back through the "one-way" door, returning to our attic. When we heard them again, we were all thoroughly depressed. Mecca came back, went into the attic again, could see but was unable to get to them. We could see her thinking about it for a while, then she went to the backyard and re-set the trap and bait, in a more elaborate manner, suspending the bait from the top and lining it with black plastic garbage bag to lure and distract the raccoon. Two nights went by, then we heard the raccoon on the fence, and saw her eyes shining. About 3:00am, we heard a fierce noise. A very angry and frustrated mama raccoon was caught in the trap, screaming and tearing the plastic to pieces. And probably calling to her babies that she'd been caught. We were incredibly relieved and overjoyed, yet couldn't help but empathize with her. Mecca came out early that morning, and dropped mama raccoon at a (not too) nearby nature reserve. The babies weren't in the attic, so the mother must have moved them after Mecca came the second time, possibly to a nearby shed. She then sanitized the attic, removed the one-way door, and sealed the chimney hole. I also want to thank Maria and the office staff (can't recall her name now). They were professional, helpful and very understanding about our stress and emotional state. In all, it was quite a bit more expensive than we originally expected, though much of it was due to a very clever and determined mama raccoon. read more

Maria (owner) and her team are my new best friends! I was at my wit's end with the raccoons in my neighborhood and the havoc they wreaked on my brand new lawn. I tried every repellent/deterrent under the sun and then I finally found Mighty Men. (It should be called Mighty Women) They were responsive, kind, humane and thorough and gave me a peace of mind that I hadn't had in months. We did catch a number of raccoons, but now that the lawn has taken root, they seem to be leaving my yard alone so I no longer need the traps. I was very pleased with the technician who came out to put bird deterrents on my three story house, however, the administrative part is poor. I scheduled an inspection which was done on the appointed day. Was given an appointment the following week to have the work done. Called that morning by the technician saying other employees had not come in to work and since he needed two people for the job he would have to cancel. Rescheduled for the following week. At the completion of the job I told the technician the correct credit card to be charged for the work since I needed $1000 charged to this new credit card to earn a bonus with UAL. Realized later that week they had charged the wrong credit card. Have been trying to call them to credit the initial card and charge the correct card which I heard him tell the office over the phone. Was told repeatedly that the "billing office" would have to call me back. Did not call me that day as promised. I also requested a copy of the estimate and the service receipt and was told it would be sent that day but it wasn't. Called the next day. Told the "billing" office would have to call me back but also was told that the "billing office" were the same staff that were answering the phones (!). I called back at 3:30 pm as I was directed to and was told they would call me right back, and of course I have still not heard from them. So far still no correction of the incorrectly billed credit card and still no copies of the estimate nor the receipt (which apparently can't be done until the billing is corrected but of course I can't get the billing corrected). read more

So..... a few weeks ago, I smelled something so awful that my world stopped.... it was definitely something that one does not wish to have to have in one's house (or anywhere). I panicked, and figured that a rodent had died - or had been there for a while. I was able to google this wonderful company - and Maria came to the phone (on a Sunday mind you) and she was the person who saved me at that time. She was calm, extremely knowledgeable and seemed to understand all that I was trying to explain to her. She was so so good, was personable and immediately "there" for me - in terms of not making feel like I was a stranger to her. I was genuinely alarmed and did not know how to immediately handle the issue. She then explained that someone would reach out to me, and had already sent the call out, for the following day. I want to acknowledge and mention Maria. I want to thank her for her professionalism however beyond this her touch of the "personal" which made me feel special and heard and seen. Called them and received an immediate response to a rat problem. Specialist spent quite a few hours rat-proofing the house and setting up nine rat traps. By the next day three juvenile rats were in rat heaven, and by the next day an additional four adults were caught. End of rat problem. The best thing was that the cost of the job included three home visits to dispose of the dead rats. And the follow-up from the central office was alway courteous and prompt. I appreciated this company's quick response. I had noises on top of my roof near a drain pipe. I knew it was something - turned out to be rat nest. Jerome got his ladder and went all the way up there and fixed everything. Put in a wire to block the hole and also set a rat trap. He was very efficient - he also spent a lot of time looking through my attic, garage, basement and all around the house to see if any other signs of mice or rats. He put in a great effort and was very thorough. Nice Guy - He gave me some good advice as well for preventative measures. I apologized to the wildlife pickup for her having to come all the way over on Friday and she said she was already in Castro valley so that contradicts your claim that she was all the way in Lafayette. then she proceeded to tell me that she was told to remove all of my boxes and our contract was complete even though i paid for 3 boxrs and trapping of 3 squirrels. I have a multi-level house on a steep incline in the Oakland hills. There was some erosion under the foundation in multiple locations, providing free passage for rodents of all sizes. I tried my own hand with traps, etc. but quickly saw that I was outmatched. I got quotes from 3 firms but only the Mighty Men field technician offered a plausible approach to tackle the problem. It was clear that is was going to take a lot of effort and cost a lot of money, and indeed when I got the quote it made me wince. Still, MM seemed to be my best option. First, all the contaminated insulation had to come out- it took 2 guys two full days to get it all. The sealing involved rolls of wire mesh and 40 bags of concrete, and required 2 guys almost 3 days to finish. They even discovered an extra area that needed work and took care of it, but still stuck to their original quoted price. By the time it was over and I saw how BIG the job was, I actually felt like I got a really good deal! I should also say that all the workers were punctual, respectful, and courteous (I was working from home during all this), and the MM central office managed the process very smoothly and provided excellent communication. I waited for a couple of months to write this review because I wanted to see how durable the MM fix would be- I can happily say that I see no evidence of rodents in any of the sealed spaces.
