Such bad service. The food was just okay. My husband had to get up and bring our glasses to the counter to get refilled after nobody came by to check on us and wehad empty glasses for our entire meal. I went to use the bathroom and it was locked, I stood and asked 3 different waitresses if I needed a key for the bathroom and got ignored. There was a young man and woman sitting at the bar and a waitress went to help them and he had to direct her to me. I gave up on even trying to use the restroom and just wanted to pay and leave. Our bill came to $19.90. It's cash only and you bring your ticket to the counter to pay. I gave the girl $25, and asked for change. She turned around and then before putting the $5 bill in the till asked me if I needed change for the $5...snapping the bill... She's lucky I left any tip... Let alone $5. Loved my cheeseburger at Mihm's! The grease absorbed so nicely into the bun. I asked them to put the hot sauce on the burger and they were just like, "oh, I can just bring that out to you." They just serve you the burger on the paper that they wrap it up in. They are serious business about making delicious, greasy burgers. That means no time to waste on dishes! Definitely did not regret adding extra butter to my burger. The menu is simple and straightforward. They serve FOOD. Enough said. I had the pleasure of experiencing Mihm's today. Heard much about it from friends and was encouraged by the reviews here. The inside is clean and neat, doesn't feel like a greasy spoon as expected. Nice and cool, too, which was refreshing on a toasty summer day. Staff was very friendly and I was greeted with a smile and hello. However, for all the hype, I can't say this was the best burger ever. Standard toppings were pickles, chopped raw onions, and sliced pickles. Ok, I'm down with that. Tomato and lettuce is optional and an extra charge. It tasted ok, but didn't really have much of a "charcoal grilled" flavor. The hard roll it came on was too dried out. I also kept thinking it was too much bun for the size of the burger. So overall, it was good, but not "the best burger ever". I do like that they offered brown mustard at the table, as opposed to the standard "classic yellow'; it was a nice change. Also, skip the onion rings, which are horrible. Tasted more like onion flavored batter instead of battered rings of onion. Overall? I wasn't impressed, but I will definitely keep it in mind when I want a good, honest, non-chain hamburger. read more

Having heard from many people that Mihm's was the place to go for a good burger, I decided to give it a try. While I would not say that the double burger I had was outstanding, as I have had much better burgers at other places, it was good. I would have liked to see more meat on the burger though. The patty was almost paper thin, combine the two patty's on my double, and you maybe had a quarter pound burger... Maybe. One of my biggest pet peeves with restaurants these days are when you don't get some kind of side with a burger or sandwich. At almost $7.00 for a double burger I would think that you would get a side but you don't. You also don't get anything on the burger besides the meat, cheese and pickles. But you can pay extra for lettuce, mayo, and onions. All said and done you are paying almost $11.00 for a burger with side and condiments! The burger was simply not worth that price. Want some good bang for you buck, go to JD's Drive-in in Appleton. The double burgers here are far better than the double I had at Mihm's and they only cost $1.75. read more

Mihm's is by far the best burger place in the fox valley. I try to go there once every month or two and have never been disappointed. Their service is excellent and you can't beat a burger cooked over their charcoal fired grill. They even have great shakes. Every time I go in I am always greeted with a smile. If you really want to get a reaction from them ask for extra butter. Step back to 1958 Wisconsin with charcoal grilled burgers and fried cheese curds and no credit cards. Burgers come standard with dill pickle slices, chopped raw onions, and BUTTER. According to the waitress, locals like a lot of butter, but I asked for only a small amount because I imagined it slathered on the bun with the pickles and onions. The double cheeseburger arrived overflowing with melted American cheese and other toppings - pretty messy for the single napkin I was given. It had a distinct charcoal, but slightly burnt flavor and the patties were too thin to be juicy or to taste the beef. The fried cheddar cheese curds were very mild flavor with a great texture medium thick crispy breading - pretty good, but I would have enjoyed them more if they came with some marinara sauce. Maybe the cheddar jack cheese curds would have had little more flavor plain. A lot of the patrons look like they have been coming here for many years and I'm sure the nostalgic atmosphere and flavors make them happy, but I was not that impressed. I wanted to enjoy the unique burger more than I did - it's dry, tasteless beef was just too overpowered by a mildly burnt charcoal flavor instead of enhanced.
