I often come to this place at least once a week. Last week I ordered Lobster roll $ boy that sauce was just extremely salty that I had one bite & I can't eat it anymore. I advised the new waitress & she said that it's really salty. I don't think she knew what she was talking about. I saw her talking to the other new waitress about it so the waitress came to my table & asked if I would like to have a new order of anything. I ordered the salmon roll & again the roll was salty so I asked the waitress & she said it's the same sauce that was used on the lobster roll. Had I known that I wouldn't have ordered it ... took it home & went directly to waste. I guess whoever made the sauce made it too salty. I suggest that this should be looked into it coz my whole family goes there whether it's my son & my grandson, my ex & myself ... I want to go back there but doubtful now if the food will ever go back to the original taste. Kind of wondering??? read more

I always come here but today I order a lobster roll and let me tell you it was the most nastiest thang I ever had it only had one crawfish on top of each California roll and it was full of mayo , me and my wife always get this at hikari sushi in Simi Valley and sushi fresh in Ventura and by far they beat them with over 20-25 crawfish covered rolls not like this one , really not worth it unless you like mayo instead of lobster or I mean crawfish smh read more

This has become our go-to sushi place in Camarillo. The restaurant is usually busy but never has a wait. The food is of very good quality and the prices are extremely reasonable. Good sushi, nice customer service, really liked it. 3/5 stars, because it was good, but not the highest quality. It made me feel slightly sick after eating it, but it was good. Did not have to wait long at all, and the sushi was very beautiful. I would recommend to people who love sushi, but not to those who are just trying. Really fresh sushi and nice staff. I try to order new things every time I come and it's always so good. Huge fan of the yellowtail jalapeño sashimi and their albacore roll! Absolute gem of Camarillo!!! Didn't have much thought when I first walked in with two of my friends who lives in Camarillo, but found myself loving the food at the first bite. Ambience was quite pleasant and we all loved the friendliness of the sushi chefs(Brad and Ken) and the server(can't remember her name). Uni, Sweet Shrimp and Toro sushi were the absolute best I've ever had. And also the oyster appetizer was out of this world~ Every single rolls we ordered were prepared to perfection and we ended up ordering more than we intended because they were all so delicious. If you're allergic to peanuts...don't eat here! They don't tell you, but they use peanut oil...not sure if it was in the salad dressing or the teriyaki chicken, but a trip to the ER was a fun way to end dinner. And they thought 15 off % the bill would do the trick. BITE ME. read more

Since the owner at Mika changed a few years ago, the quality has gotten a lot better. We sat at the sushi bar and had an assortment of fresh sushi: crunchy roll, hand rolls, yellow tail, oysters, and uni. Being a huge fan of desserts I had their deep fried green tea ice cream. It was so delicious, with the hot crunchy coating and the cold ice cream on the inside. It was a good ending to the meal. It was def too much for one person, you can probably share it with 2 other people. Mika has a great atmosphere and everyone was promt and friendly. The bathroom was really nice too. I would def recommend this place, and this means a lot since I'm really picky about Japanese restaurants, because I cook it at home. read more

Mika sushi is by far the best place I have been outside of LA. Their tako salad is excellent. So is their jalapeno yellow-tail. All of their fish is extremely fresh, and they really know their stuff. Their sweet shrimp is right on, also try their yellow-tail toro I think it's called, or fatty yellow-tail. It might be a little quiet but I think it's more a sign of the times versus a reflection on the chefs because everything I've eaten there is awesome. read more

I would have rated this lower as I've eaten here before and have had decent food but last night's take out was not ok. Super bummed that one of the rolls (baked salmon) wasn't as good as described on the menu and worst part is that I came home with something I didn't order. I got two orders of the spicy tuna and no caterpillar Roll. Friendly tip for those picking up - please make sure you are getting what you ordered. I ate there for the second time and it was as good as the first time a few months ago when I last visited my parents. Camarillo has really come a long way since my teen years. Sushi is very fresh and the chef is extremely skilled. The hamachi just melted in my mouth. Halibut was so tender and fresh. I also had a dragon roll which was made so beautifully, I wanted to take a picture of it. Too bad I didnt bring my camera. I found the service to be very good as well. Haven't had sushi in well over a year. Decided today was the day to eat some again. Read through reviews and decided on Mika's Sushi. So happy we did, it was delicious. We had Salmon Belly, Yellowtail Belt, Albacore Belly, Toro, Sweet Scallops and yellowtail collar. So fresh, well prepared. This place is a difinite on coming back. Inpressive. I'm usually a pretty hard judge when it comes to sushi and Mika didn't disappoint. We stopped here by chance and decided to give it a try for lunch and the 3 item lunch combo was Huge, for 10.95 it's unbeatable. My wife ordered the Udon combination with the spicy tuna roll and it was delicious. Because I didn't know how big the lunch combo was I also ordered a couple nigiri sushi a yellow tail belly and Spanish mackerel. Oh god. The yellow tail was buttery and clean and the Spanish mackerel was done beautifully. But the best part was the service. Eli was quick, attentive, courteous, and helpful (Like an idiot I dropped one of the sushi orders and he was more than willing to replace it). I don't usually stop in Camarillo but if we go shopping at the outlets again I'm definitely going to stop a Mika if it's lunch or dinner time. read more

Everytime I'm in the area, I end up coming here. The menu was updated since the last time I was here. The excellent quality and taste hasn't changed. A couple noteable things were: the tempura was crispy for a while and the sashimi was unique and tasty. The tuna tartare was my favorite. read more

Got the Alaskan Roll, dragon roll, baked mussels (sooooo good, definitely a must), and a large bottle of Asahi. Service here is amazing.. If you're lucky enough to get Jenn, rest assured that you'll be well taken care of. We were warmly greeted as soon as we walked in, she quickly got us our drinks, put in our orders, brought out our food as soon as it was ready, stayed on top of everything, and never made us feel forgotten about. Based on yelp reviews we tried to Mika Sushi in Camarillo, we were very disappointed. My husband's dinner - the combo was supposed to be tempura and sushi. The tempura came to the table for him. No Sushi was delivered. I received my salad. After 15 minutes not one of the foods I ordered came out. Mine a combo of sushi and sashimi. Our waitress who was talking to another table about her family never stop by, another waitress came by , we asked her for my food which she brought to our table. This is by far the best sushi in town. The fish is so fresh and the rolls are amazing! There's also a big selection of sakes. It is very clean with a very nice relaxing atmosphere...although we can tend to get a little routy sometimes! Also the bathrooms are very clean and nice (which is important in my opinion). Everyone I've taken there has been satisfied and impressed. It is now a tradition amongst my friends to all go here when we reunite! I recommend to anyone in search of quality sushi! read more
