California Roll, mixed Sashimi, and mixed Tempura.... Good for the price, comes with Miso Soup, Salad and Rice.... It filled me up for the whole day... I'm very picky about my sushi and this place has only gotten better every time. The sushi is fresh and delicious and they're extremely accommodating to allergies. All of their rolls are delicious (can't speak for any of the shrimp rolls but I've heard good things) my favorite is the lobster roll. Most places don't make it the way Mika does and it is mouthwatering. I won't go anywhere else for sushi. The chefs are wonderful, the staff is kind, the food is delicious. What more could you want? My fiance and I ate dinner here on a Saturday night. We were seated immediately and the service was prompt. Our server, Eli was everything we could have asked for as first time diners. He was very friendly, attentive and knowledgeable about the menu and sake selection. We ordered a sushi roll and sashimi along with miso soup and edamame. Everything was great and the fish quality was unmatched for the area. Would highly recommend. This is the most decent fresh sushi I can find in town but the low stars is due to their inconsistency of sushi. Several times I have had great pieces of sashimi and sushi. But most times it's small or less desired pieces. Because it's disappointing we don't go as often. I wish I knew the better sushi chefs over the not so good ones. read more

Just had this place for the first time--top notch!! Had the cactus dragon roll, dynamite roll, and the 911 roll. Of all three, the 911 roll was my favorite, but they were all very tasty and the quality and appearance were quite excellent! Another plus is that they're open before 5pm on Sundays, which is awesome. If I want sushi for lunch, these guys are open. Also, I grabbed my order to-go, and when I got home 15 minutes later, it didn't taste much different from how it was supposed to. The girl who took my order over the phone was very patient with me, as I had to hunt down their menu online and call back a few times before I had my whole order straightened out--I was ordering for 4 people. And when I got there, she went over my whole order with me and showed me what was what and labeled everything. Very cool. My wife and I were very satisfied with our rolls, and we will be back. I am not sure why this place rates so high. It was pretty horrible. First I must say I HATE mayo. It's disgusting and I literally throw if I eat it. That being said I can find many rolls without it except at this place. I did get one that was pretty good however my Philadelphia roll had imitation crab with May in the middle. I have never had a Philadelphia rolls that had mayo. Never! It's a pretty easy roll and it's pretty hard to screw it up, but they found a way to do it. Every roll had it. I tried some of my daughters chicken and that was ok but nothing that great. The service... there was a table that came in after us and they ordered, got their food and left before we even got our food. They were also waited on before us even though we had been sitting there for almost 30 minutes before our order was taken. I should have just taken my kids recommendations and went to Panda Express next door. I gave it two stars because the one roll I got that I could eat was actually decent. But. Saddest attempt i have ever seen at sushi. Every item on the menu is a California roll with one topping. For service it took a while to get servers attention. It was not worth complaining about until i ordered a "salmon roll" and when i sent it back they refused to refund me my money. It takes a lot for me to send something back, as i almost never do. My family and me go here all the time we just cant get tired of the place. They make their food so flavorful but yet they use little seasoning. You can hear the food in the back being cooked and they always want to make your stay pleasant. The chicken Udon is a great soup then theres the beef and chicken teriyaki YUM! i have never been disappointed with Mika. 2 years ago, Ken-sai and Mika was my first sushi experience, EVER. I told him to give me whatever he wanted, as long as it wasn't still moving, and I'd try it. I fell in love that night. I go to Mika when ever I'm in town and stopped by last night. I was the only person at the bar, which meant I had Ken and Michael all to my self. (well, i did have to share with others, there were people at the tables and lots of people coming in for to-go orders). i knew I wouldn't be disappointed, and I wasn't. I ordered off the specials menu and here's what I got: Yummy Spicy Tuna on Crispy Rice to start, and got 4 huge pieces. Next I had 2 fabulous melt in your mouth pieces of Aji (Spanish mackerel) and with just a touch of wasabi, I did the happy dance in my seat. From there I asked Ken-sai to feel free to give me whatever he wanted and he didn't disappoint. A beautifully plated (off menu item) seared tuna with an avocado wrapped 'salsa' (I did take a picture of it, I added it here, sorry for the sideways action, don't know how to rotate it). From there I was stuffed to the brim, I wish I could have eaten more! Mika is always delicious! I highly highly highly recommend Mika and Ken-sai. Go with the Omakase- chef's specialties.
