My friends and I had the pleasure to dine at Mike's All Day Breakfast today. To say we had an exquisite experience would be the understatement of 2024. Between the different cheese choices, the thick sourdough, the fluffy pancakes, and the mimosas--we were in cuisine heaven. I would also like to highlight the top tier service specifically our server, Mike. His attention to detail, kindness, and positive attitude truly made our week. I've been so conflicted about writing this review because ADB has ALWAYS been a breakfast staple growing up and spending the summer in Maine. I actually didn't like breakfast restaurants until I tried ADB and my first meal with a bagel, cream cheese, and OJ because I was suspect. The things I loved about ADB no longer exist after the business was sold. The prices were increased I believe around 30-40% based off prior recollection of what meals for two would cost and the taste/flavor was lacking. I didn't have this in my original post but I guess I'll add it now, the service was really slow and the place wasn't packed. It took almost 30+ for a Mexican omelette and the California omelette with avocado. If you want the true ADB experience, drive a little further down the road and go to the Biddeford location. Also, I felt like the branding of the syrup bottles and color scheme on the menu are tacky. UPDATE!!!! When you are in town you definitely must stop for breakfast here. The portions are huge the price is right and the servers could not be more attentive and friendly. A good family place where the kids can be kids. The bottomless cups of coffee are excellent and hot water is replenished for the tea drinkers. Everyone enjoyed what they ordered. My eggs and hash were cooked perfectly and even came with a side of potatoes. The pancakes are huge and fluffy. One would equal three regular. The French toast with Swiss and ham was another hit. Even when they are slammed the food comes quickly and the servers are always friendly. Thanks for taking care of us. read more

We as a family, have been there many times for brunch. Love the eggs benedict, homemade hash, and the omelets. Have also had your dinners on Saturdays. Fantastic little place for breakfast! After a short 10 minute wait we were quickly sat and served coffee. We both ordered the ADB omelets which are stuffed with goodness, cooked to perfection, and huge! Slow as ffffffffff.... :( 15-20 min wait for them to bus the table we sat at. Took forever to have our order taken. Run by high schoolers is accurate. Still waiting for food.... Food finally got here. Tastes better than average, presentation is poor. And why oh why do I have onions in my French Toast???? My gf and I didn't order anything with onions in it. Everything was slowwwwwwwwww. Not coming back UPDATE: After this review the owner reached out to me and offered to make this experience right. While I don't foresee returning here because I visited by chance and I'm never in the area, I feel that an owner who clearly cares enough to pay attention to his customers and who will try to make things right deserves at least another star for that. read more

The amount of people waiting outside is actually what drew us in to stop and try it out on our drive through Kennebunkport. Although the wait was much longer than expected, the food and service was worth the wait! We all really enjoyed our meals and our dining experience. Only downside--I have seen the owner be less than kind to his employees, which gives me pause. We do like both locations. Nice ambiance. The food and service were EXCELLENT- came in from 8-9 on a monday morning and we were seated quick and a server came by to take our order. It was generally low/mid level loud, no music playing, we could hear each other while talking super easy. They had a special of an incredibly tasty raspberry compote which they could put on any pancake, waffle, french toast, and it's something i could eat every day of the week! Great local breakfast spot in Kennebunkport - friendly service and simple diner food done right! They are doing a wonderful job, especially given how busy this place gets. Kathy was our waitress and was so sweet and attentive - she always made sure our coffee cups were full and also let us know that our food was going to take longer than usual because the kitchen was a bit backed up. I really appreciated her thoughtfulness in letting us know, and we definitely understood given the difficult situation that all restaurants are facing due to COVID and the extra precautions that must be taken. My husband and I have been going to Mike's for five years. We love the food, and until lately, the wait staff too. Our favorite waitress quit due to how she was treated, and the remaining waitresses can be abrupt, and not at all friendly. The crepes I ordered were inedible - soaked in oil to the point they were dripping and missing the eggs inside (after waiting 40 minutes for our food this was esp disappointing). Have been eating at restaurants for many decades. Found this restaurant to be the rudest of all. Service was adequate at best. Was there with 4 others people. Left an 18% tip for the adequate at best waiter. As I am leaving the restaurant the same waiter confronts me and says if I cant leave a 20% tip I should not bother coming back again.The rudest waiter I have ever experienced. Went during "off season" in November 2022. The place had a lot of customers and only 2 chefs/cooks making food for 40+ people. The wait staff had to slow down sitting new people but were great in attending to us and provided complimentary fruit while waiting. The wait for food to arrive was a little longer (but understandable given the 2 cooks working for so many customers) but it still came out hot. We all have been disappointed by long waits and then getting cold food - this was NOT the case - it was also high quality and delicious. Very happy with our experience!! read more
