If I can give them 10 stars and draw little and big hearts on this review, I would. I know nothing of car engines. I only know how to drive (but I can drive stick and know how to downhill-push start a manual car all by my lonesome. But that's as far as my badassery on cars go). So when my husband was away for work and my new-to-me Prius maintenance light went on, I panicked. I went on yelp and read through various reviews on businesses that can handle a prius. Mike's Auto's reviews always had the word honest. So I called and spoke with the ever lovely and wonderful Victoria. She told me what the light meant, what to expect, and how much to expect to pay. It's been almost 4 years since then and the relationship we all share keeps getting better and better. Their shop is 10miles from my home but seriously - I would never trade distance for trustworthiness, impeccable work, and the cherry on top of how they just go above and beyond what is necessary every time I come in. I drove right by it at first but once I got there I was very pleased. Mike is AWESOME! He is honest which is very hard to find with car repair. My Prius was looked at by the Toyota Dealership and I was told there was a very expensive problem that needed to be fixed. On a whim I took it to Mike's shop and he thoroughly looked at it and gave me his honest opinion that there was nothing that needed to be repaired. I have had no problems with it at all and I am thankful for the 2nd opinion. I will return to his shop for any problems that our cars/trucks have. read more

This guy is legit. He got me in for an appointment two hours after I called him, panicking, diagnosed the horrible thumping sound my beloved Ford was making in about two seconds, and completely replaced the struts for under $400. Now my car doesn't sound like the members of Monty Python are clopping coconut halves together under the floorboard. Also I think someone who puts their dog on their business card is inherently more trustworthy than someone who doesn't. Admit it, you like it too. read more

Mike was very helpful. He spent time to diagnose a leak in my radiator only to further help me by sending me back to the shop I got the radiator from to do the repair under warranty free of charge. There are still great people out there like Mike who would actually turn away business in order to save his customers money. We did find a leak in the water pump and his price is extremely competitive and fair. I will be going back next week for the repair and will update my post. read more

Found this mechanic by a happy coincidence & so glad I did! I came in for a seat belt replacement for my Ford Explorer & Mike was great. Mike is a fantastic mechanic, he knows his stuff, he is friendly, knowledgeable, very reasonable in his pricing. I feel like Mike is the last honest mechanic, I never duck and cringe when I am getting an estimate from him, as I know he is going to be totally reasonably in his billing. His wife is friendly and organized and since I live nearby she always offers me a ride home while my car is being repaired. Mike worked on our car and he was awesome. It is scary anymore to get your car worked on with so many mechanics quick to spend your money on things that don't actually fix the problem. Mike allowed us to discuss the issue and he has so much experience that he knew right away where to start. He took baby steps, kept us informed and fixed the problem with very little cost. I took a chance on Mike's Auto after seeing these reviews, called to make an appt, and showed up as planned. I was warmly welcomed as soon as I arrived and spoken to like an old friend. Mikes asked what I needed and didn't seem exasperated when I explained that I was short on cash and could only afford the diagnostic and not necessarily the service that day. They were positive, accepting, and very kind, giving me my options without treating me like a cash cow. I was really impressed. I brought my car back when I had the cash and the fix was done DAYS before they had estimated it would be finished (awesome!). Not only that, but I paid roughly $500 less than the dealership had quoted. I literally cried when they totalled me out. Not only that, they took a moment to show me the part that had been replaced, so I could understand exactly what they did and why. Never had such a good experience with auto before. Now that I have another issue with my car, I'm ONLY taking it here.. I love the golden retriever photos and your kitties! My baby loves the treasure box of goodies for kids too..
