We were told that their best baker had made the donuts which is unfortunate because they must have been having a really bad night. Would not recommend unfortunately.

The counter people were nice and friendly, and explain to me the name of the shop, thankfully it was not truth and advertising. These donuts are hard and gross. These are like amazing donuts and I would have eaten a dozen of them if I did not have the self-risk paint that I possess. I had a chocolate moose filled chocolate boys donut with a chocolate milk. I'm guessing you can see that I like chocolate. This place definitely did not disappoint in that area and had some amazing, amazing ones. Thanks! The proprietor was friendly, informative, and clearly passionate about the product. The donuts come with the premium pricing one would expect from a small artisan bakery, but unfortunately they did not live up to expectations. The flavours themselves were good, but the donuts were noticeably drier than expected even when fresh, and by the next day they were virtually inedible despite being stored properly. Usually small artisan shops justify the higher price point with a clearly superior product and experience. Unfortunately, Lantern Donuts did not quite achieve that for me and, regrettably, I found the mass-produced chain-store donuts more enjoyable overall. On a personal "worth it" scale, I'd place it around a 3/10. Regrettably, not somewhere I would return to.
