Cupcake was yummy, Boston Creme Pie was not good to me, Chocolate Chip Cannoli was a game changer. Absolutely amazing, no complaints. The inside wasn't busy, lots of options to choose from and an entire wall of cannoli options to select from. Will return!

Incredible cannoli place! They have a wide variety of filling options to choose from, as well as pastry shells in vanilla and chocolate covered. I ordered the Nutella cannoli and it was delicious! First of all, they make giant cannolis that are very filling so you only need to order one. The pastry shell is baked crispy but doesn't messily crumble when you take a bite, plus has a ton of flavor. Then the filling is delicious, stealing the show with a creamy and sugary taste that fills your sweet tooth. I didn't think the Nutella cream tasted overly like Nutella, more like chocolate cream cheese with a hint of hazelnut, but was still delicious. They even add powder sugar sprinkled on top. Definitely a go-to stop in Boston!

Mike's is one of the representative chain pastries in the Boston area. However, its overwhelming sweetness was totally a disaster to my Chinese/ Cantonese appetite. Pistachio Cannoli: One of the signature products. To be frank, this cannoli was well baked, with incredibly crunchy dough shell which easily fell apart under a bite, and brimming thick ricotta cheese with a slight hint of lemon or orange zest's citrusy tanginess and fragrance. However, the cheese was ridiculously cloyingly sickly SWEET I had never tasted before, so that I could only persist to half of one. Maybe it suits American taste buds more. Tiramisu: I saw recommendations on the China's food reviewing platform Dazhong Dianping大众点评, but this piece of cake had actually nothing to do with the authentic Italian Tiramisu. As was shown in cannoli, EVERYTHING inside was sweetened, while I couldn't taste any hint of cocoa's bitterness or Rum's fragrance. As a dessert lover, I fell into deep depression and confusion. The only ingredient slightly better was the caramel cream on top, providing more layers of flavor.

This is primarily a bakery for take-out. I had heard that the bakery is known for its cannoli. There were cakes and cookies displayed but no cannolis. After we placed the order for the cannoli, the cannoli shell is filled in the kitchen and then packed. They are just enormous, so be prepared. We got the amaretto and a pistachio cannoli. We liked the amaretto cannoli more and usually my preference would be pistachio. My personal preference is for a regular size cannoli. The two cannoli came to $15! So pretty pricey imo.

As my first time to Boston, stopping at Mike's pastry was a have to. The line went pretty quickly, and the employees were very fast and efficient at getting everyone their order. They had a large selection with many different flavor, choices and combinations. I have to say my expectations were quite high, but I wasn't as impressed as I was expecting to be. For me, it was too much filling and too sweet. But my friends absolutely loved theirs so maybe a different flavor for me would be the trick. Overall, I would still go back again and it's absolutely worth a stop! Parking would have definitely been difficult however I walked from my hotel so it wasn't too difficult for me. Parking in Boston is just difficult in general so that's to be expected. But even if you try to park it's still worth it.

I'd never been to this location before. I've only been to the one in the North End previously. Service was fast and lovely. There was only one other customer in the entire store. We got lobster tail, fudge brownie, a tiramisu slice, and strawberry cheesecake. The lobster tail were not as crisp as I might have hoped but the tiramisu and the strawberry cheesecake were absolutely on point. Parking was also ridiculously easy. We got a spot right across the street and we were in and out in less than 15 minutes. We will definitely be returning to this location

This was my first time trying a cannoli, and maybe I just picked the wrong flavor, but I didn't enjoy it at all. I always see a line at Mike's Pastry, so when I finally caught it empty, I decided to give it a try. Unfortunately, it was way too sweet for me and nothing about it really stood out. I'd pick Beard Papa's over this any day.

The cannoli is SO good omg. The cream puff is on the heavier side with all of the fluffy whipped cream. But I can talk about the cannoli for ages & tell you everything I love about it! The staff were also so nice and helped make sure that the baked goods wouldn't get destroyed on the way to NYC. Thank you!

Always a great cannoli. I hadn't been to the Harvard sq location and I am very pleased with it. It has a more contemporary feel than the north end location, and slightly more upscale than their north station hub location. The quality of the cannoli are fantastic and the pistachio is amazing. We split one between the two of us and really enjoyed it, they're large and filling. Service was great. There were two workers in the shop and we were the only ones in there. No seats, super fast service, place was very clean. Very enjoyable experience!

The pistachio cannoli was pretty good but kind of expensive. I thought the outside was crispy and the inside wasn't too sweet. I didn't like the boston cream donut as much. I thought the dough for it was a bit dry. There isn't any seating inside but there is a standing area to eat your pastry. The workers aren't that nice but they're not mean either.

This location accepts credit cards. There's also zero line at this location. My favorite is definitely the pistachio cannoli. We also ordered the lobster tail, pistachio macaroons, hazelnut cannoli, and chocolate chip cannoli. read more

I write this review as I have never had a cannoli before trying Mikes pastry so I wanna preface that I have nothing to base it off of. However, my first cannoli from Mikes was DELICIOUS! They had a long line out the door however it moved fairly quickly as they have a lot of people working. They have a ton of filling options for the cannolis as well as other pastries. I got the chocolate chip and the pumpkin spice (which was seasonal). They were just ridiculously good I really could not put it down. I think my favorite was the chocolate chip one as i like the crunch of the chips on the outside. This place is a must stop in Boston!! Worth the wait! read more

Mike's Pastry is a must visit while in Boston! It is just a short walk from the Freedom Trail They are cash only so make sure you have that on you before you stand in line. The line can get pretty crazy at times, but it moves through quickly. It is also pretty small so it can get very tight packed inside. They have racks and racks of pastry counters filled with every cake, cookie, cannoli, pie, and cheesecake you can think of. Most pastry's range from $2-6, but most are huge and I would recommend sharing with someone else as it can be too much for just one person. You will always see people carrying around the Mike's Pastry boxes tied with their signature string in Boston and you should definitely try it out for yourself! read more

Back in Bean Town again and we were walking through the Harvard Campus. When we saw the sign for Mike's, we just had to stop in and get a half dozen cannoli. I was pleasantly surprised that the price is still $5 each in spite of BIDENFLATION. Way to go Mike! So, after some deliberation we decided on the Yellow Creme (Custard), Hazelnut, Amaretto, Espresso, Double Chocolate and Florentine. We bought them for the next morning with coffee, so they sat in the refrigerator overnight. The next morning, the shells were still NICE and CRISPY. The cream was still LIGHT and BUTTERY. When I visit Boston, I always stop by Mike's Pastry for a REAL TREAT. read more

I had such a disheartening customer service experience at the Harvard Square location. They probably hire seasonal workers who don't have an incentive to feel invested, so I don't blame the employees. It's organizational. Still, when I walked in, they were busy having a conversation amongst each other. I had to struggle to get their attention. No greeting, no "can I help you find anything?" It felt like a chain that lost its personal touch. read more

As a first-timer in Boston, I had no choice but try out Mike's cannolis. Came to the location by Harvard and ordered a pistachio cannoli. I had been eating all day, so after taking one bite of the cannoli, I was full! The cannoli was sweet and pretty heavy but good. I gotta be honest, I usually do not go for cannoli's - probably my LAST option for a dessert. BUT Mike's makes such a good one, that I would literally come here just for that. The original is always good - it has a delicious filling - we got chocolate chips added to it. I think my favorite was actually the pistachio cannoli. There is something about a ricotta filling with pistachio. Next time, I would probably only get this flavor. There is usually a line out the door, but it actually goes pretty quick. Maybe the hype had me all worked up. I heard it was the best cannoli place this side of The Alamo, but the chocolate cannoli I got was just okay. Definitely not special. The black and white cookies was more like a black and brown cake like cookie variation. Pretty good but not true to form. Maybe it's just a tourist trap. Yes, I was a tourist and yes I got trapped. But next time I'll bypass the alleged "home of the cannoli" and visit a true master pastry chef that makes one to die for! read more

We had the pecan caramel cheesecake. It was just ok. Basically tasted like a plain cheesecake topped with caramel and pecans. The service was quick despite there being a line out of the door. The setting is a typical, walk in walk out establishment but there is actually a small area to stand and eat. read more

You have to go to mikes if you go to Boston! The cannolis are a must, although the other pastries all looked amazing. We went to the one by Harvard since we were in the area. We went around 3pm on a Saturday and there was no line! We got one peanut butter, one espresso chip and one chocolate dipped. Not cheap but worth it! The cannolis are big! So one is probably enough since they are rich too. Oh goodness the cannoli cream is amazing. And the shell is perfect. We loved them all! Worth the hype. read more

The same wonderful cannolis you'd find in the original downtown Boston location without a line wrapped around the building. I had a cannoli and shared it with my husband after taking a walk around Harvard. The cannoli was as delicious as the cannoli I had at the original Mike's Pastry location several years ago when I visited Boston for the first time. We managed to find seating indoors, which was a major upside for a bakery as famous as Mike's. Though a line started forming at around 5/before dinnertime. read more

As someone who watches more TikTok than I should, I've had Mike's Pastry show up on my fyp countless times. I was super excited to visit and after asking the worker what their most popular cannoli was, I got the chocolate chip flavor. I don't even like cannolis that much but I was devouring it like I hadn't eaten in days. The worker was nice but for some reason wouldn't make eye contact with me which was a little disheartening. What a huge disappointment. Many had said this was the best place for Boston Cream Pie. I took the city bus here from the Fenway area. A block away from the bus stop. I got in & out and was able to catch the same exact bus going back to the hotel. The lady behind the counter was nice. I got a piece of BCP, and since I am a tiramisu snob, I got a slice of that, too. The BCP wasn't anything to write home about. Similar to something I can get at Walmart. The tiramisu? I don't know what that was, but it wasn't good. The mascarpone was nonexistent. And I didn't taste any coffee flavor. On the plus side, there was no wait, and not as expensive as I thought. read more

DON'T GET THE CREME BRÛLÉE! We walked to this location a short distance from Harvard's Yard (first year student housing). Fairly busy for a early evening during Spring break Originally planned to order one of the many varieties of cannoli but I had a sudden change of heart when I saw the cream brûlée. Ah.. I fell in love- it appeared to be a thing of beauty with its smooth honey color underneath a mound of whipped cream and a cherry. Much to my disappointment it did not taste nearly as good as it looked. This desert lacked flavor and was without the flavor typically in this desert. Even Whole Foods' Creme brûlée tastes better! There were several desert options available - but I recommend trying the cannoli instead. Service was friendly and fast. Your desert will be packaged in adorable box and tied with bakers ribbon. read more

Mike's always has a line out the door, so I was expecting amazing pastries. We ordered a chocolate chip cannoli, Boston cream pie, and carrot cake. Everything tasted good, but it was honestly pretty generic. I wasn't overly impressed with the quality or taste, so I wouldn't recommend waiting hours in line for it. *My friends and I got lucky because we went when there was no line at all. read more

The fat man in me just screamed!!! Mike's has a very big reputation in Boston so, I had to try. I'm not a big cannoli person take this with a grain of salt. I tried 4 Oreo Peanut butter Original Florentine The Florentine is the best one. I didn't do much research before going but, later found that their thing is the lobster tail so, I'll try that next time. read more

Good cannolis! In the heart of Harvard Square, it was a bit surprising to see no wait for these cannolis that I had heard sooo much about from the locals. Passing by another location in the North End with a line out the door was a bit of a turnoff but I was very happy to get a chance to visit at this location. First all the cannolis looked awesome! It was very difficult to make a decision on just one. When I finally did, the Pistachio Cannoli didn't disappoint. It was loaded with fresh crushed pistachio that wasn't too sweet and could have been shared with another. There isn't much room to sit and enjoy, just 6 bar stools by the window but with Harvard Square just outside the door, there are plenty of places to sit and enjoy on a nice summer day. read more

Mike's Pastry is a must-go if you're visiting Boston. I've lived in Boston my whole life and have never gotten a chance to try their pastries until recently! They're well known for their cannolis so I had to get a classic chocolate chip cannoli. I was definitely pleasantly surprised about how large the cannoli was as I didn't finish it! The actual cannoli shell was very crispy and not at all soggy (even though I went about an hour before closing). The filling wasn't too overly sweet, but for me there was an overwhelming amount. The filling had a thicker consistency in comparison to other cannolis I've had, but I enjoyed it! The chocolate chips on the cannoli were a nice touch to the flavor and aesthetic. Eating the cannoli was on the messier side, since there was an overwhelming amount of cream and I spooned some of it out so it wouldn't fall onto my clothes. I would definitely come here again to try the other pastries/cannolis since the service was very quick and I didn't have to wait in line! read more

I am now a forever fan of Boston Cream Pie! I doubt it will be as good as what I experienced at Mike's Pastry. From the moment I walked into the shop I knew exactly what I wanted, the Boston Cream Pie. Unfortunately, it took 3 tries to get one. I heard they were good, so on the third attempt I went before dinner and scored! The whoopie pie and the fudge cake were also extremely good. The cookie was just a average chocolate chip cookie. No complaints about the cookie, just not as great as the other desserts. Just get there early before all the best options are gone! read more

I find it funny that everyone is choosing sides over the best Cannolis in Boston. Me? I'm from New York so I won't participate in the silliness because Ferrara's in Little Italy is the clear winner. But that is just MHO. I just finished dinner and left room for a cannoli. I see Mike's pastry is close by, I'll swing by for a regional Boston Italian treat. I walk into a small, clean establishment. Just like Rocco's on Bleeker St, Mike's Pastry is appealing to the masses with different flavors. I'm not too adventurous with the different flavored cannolis so I chose traditional. First bite, the shell is a shade lighter, meaning less fried. It still was crunchy and had a nice taste. The filling, it wasn't too sweet. I can taste the freshly whipped ricotta. What's nice about Mike's Pasty cannoli, the filling isn't like cement. It's not overly sweet and the total package made for a nice after dinner dessert. Mike's Pastry, you rocked it! read more

So say you went to the Mike's Pastry in North End because you wanted the experience of going to the original location in Boston's Italian neighborhood, but now you want those amazing cannolis again but don't want to wait in that line and you also want to use your credit card... well look no further, Mike's Pastry in Cambridge is the place for you! I came here after wanting to check out their desserts again, and this place has the same amazing desserts they're famous for, but the line is shorter and they accept debit/credit cards here. I got the Florentine cannoli and it's my favorite one by far! It has like an added toffee flavor and crunch to it. I also got a couple other desserts, the raspberry sandwich and peanut butter brownie, and those were also good. Honestly pretty baffled by how bad this place is. I've never had a cake that I can only take 1 bite of until today. I ordered the carrot cake expecting there to be carrot involved. Instead I received a sugar bomb of the cheapest sugar known to man. Straight-up Walmart sheet-cake quality. You cannot taste even an ounce of effort. My Dad used to sell lots of bikes When me and my brother we tykes But if my Dad had only Instead sold Cannoli I hope it'd be as good as Mike's Mike's basically makes really good cannoli which aren't anywhere near as good as the amazing ones that I've had over in Brooklyn. They are good though and they have various delicious fillings including a coffee flavor which is nice. I really like Mike's Pastry, but I think it was slightly overhyped for me. This made my expectations super high, but in reality Mike's seemed like a regular dessert shop to me. It was clean and the employees were friendly. They had many selections of desserts and bread beyond the famous cannolis. I was on the Cambridge side the first time I tried it, and the lines are so much shorter than the Mike's at the North End. I had no wait when I went in the afternoon. I got the Florentine Cannoli and I loved the honey coated shell. I got my friend a Chocolate Chip Cannoli and she also enjoyed it very much. The ricotta filling was very rich and creamy. It was a little pricey for $5 a cannoli but they are very big and will make you extremely full if you eat a whole cannoli. They also only took cash. read more

I love cannolis and Mike's Pastry is my favorite spot in Boston to get cannolis. Cannolis are $5 each and are HUGE! They have so many different flavors which are posted on the wall. I make sure to go early in the morning to make sure they have the flavors I like. My personal all time favorite is the Florentine cannoli. It is soooo delicious. I have tried their Mocha cake and ricotta pie, both are yummy as well. I definitely recommend coming here for their nice variety of dessert options. read more

The blueberry bagel from my first visit looked and tasted amazing and was completely different in quality from what I received on my second visit. On top of that, the person behind the counter seemed careless with hygiene, touching the screen, bagels, and other surfaces without any apparent attention to cleanliness. It felt like a completely different place compared to my first visit just a couple of weeks earlier. Overall, I'm extremely disappointed.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Mike's Pastry in the North End of Boston, and let me tell you, it was absolutely phenomenal! Not only is the location incredibly charming and picturesque, but the pastry selection is unparalleled - I honestly think it's the best in Boston. The moment I walked into the shop, the sweet aroma of fresh pastries filled my nostrils and made my mouth water. The display cases were stocked full of beautifully crafted desserts, each one more enticing than the last. I decided to try a few different items, including a cannoli, a lobster tail, and a chocolate mousse cake, and I was blown away by the quality and attention to detail in each one. The cannoli had the perfect balance of sweet and creamy filling, and the crispy shell held up to every bite. The lobster tail was light and flaky, with just the right amount of powdered sugar on top. And the chocolate mousse cake was an absolute dream - rich, decadent, and just heavenly. Not only was the food exceptional, but the service was top-notch as well. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to help me pick out the perfect treats. They even offered suggestions on other popular items to try, which I definitely made sure to take home with me. Overall, I would highly recommend Mike's Pastry to anyone visiting Boston or even locals in the area. Wow, I am so excited to tell you about this amazing pastry place! It's located in the heart of downtown, and I've heard that the line to get inside is often so long that it stretches for blocks. But don't worry - they have three locations where you can place your order and carry out your treats, since there's no seating area available on site. All of their cannolis are priced at $7, and they offer a variety of other delicious pastries as well. During my visit, I couldn't resist trying out ten different flavors of cannoli, including pistachio, amaretto, espresso, pecan caramel, and lemon. I remember visiting their original location years ago, and at the time, they didn't even accept credit cards. But now, all three locations do! I also picked up a lobster tail pastry for a little friend who was hanging out outside the shop. And let me tell you, it was absolutely incredible. I highly recommend that you visit this place, whether you're a local or just passing through. It's truly a must-visit stop, and you'll be glad you avoided the chaos of downtown to experience these incredible pastries. Cheers! read more

While the presentation and variety of flavors were commendable, I couldn't help but feel that the cannolis were sweeter than expected. As I took my first bite, I was immediately struck by the intensity of sweetness. The sweetness level in the cannoli fillings seemed to overpower the other flavors. I've been a huge fan of Mike's in the North End of a long time and was pleasantly surprised when I found Mike's in Harvard Square. My first thought was this can't be as good. But it is! The cannolis are amazing and always fresh (and not soggy!) The crowds are less here in Harvard Square too so you don't feel like you are cattle being herded. Go find Mike's in Harvard Square, it is worth the trip! read more

We had cannolis in Italy and famous pizzeria in DC called 2 Amy's. Cannolis from Mike's Pastry are the best. Try their pistachio and strawberry cannolis. read more
